They want to get into your computer and your personal information, like bank accounts, etc.. So all you have to tell them to is to go to hell and hang up. How could they know if you have a virus on your computer over the phone?
Scammers....... IDIOTS....... I guess they must think there are people dumber than they are.

I'm getting multiple calls a day from this number.
| Toni 2014-06-16 16:33:03 Unknown |
This needs to be reported or they will not do anything about it. I feel bad for the people who fall for this.

I got two calls from this number today. The first guy was mumbling and said I already received the package, with boiler room noise in the background. The second call was a different guy and I couldn't make out what he was saying at all and it also had boiler room noise going on.
All the caller id said was Pennsylvania.
| Tina 2014-05-30 19:14:14 Unknown |
Your call was definitely a scam. A call like this wants to gain access to your computer so they can steal your user id's, passwords, banking info...everything of value and steal your identity.
Ignore calls like this one. It's a scam done by hackers.

I got two calls from this number today. All my caller ID showed was "Pennsylvania." It was from two different guys. Both of whom mumbled so it was hard to tell what they were saying. One of them said I already received the package...know idea what that's about.
If anyone calls claiming to be from Microsoft telling you there's something wrong with your computer, it is a way for hackers to get into your computer and steal your identity and everything else of worth on your computer, including banking info, etc.
Ignore it! Hang up on them. Do NOT do anything they tell you.

Get hang up calls from this number. Sounds like a cube farm. Apparently people still fall for this scam.

They obviously wanted to scam some information from me. The dude had an Indian accent and he claimed that they wanted to check on my computer that ran "windows". I could tell it was a scam so I immediately responded that I run linux on my computer instead, and he proceeded to try and convince me that I have windows, (wouldn't say which kind) and then I asked why he was calling and he angrily said "because I want to f**k you". Don't bother with this number.

Noticed a missed call from 215-454-2121 on my landline when I got home from work. Other than the number, the Caller ID was "Pennsylvania." Promptly blocked the number on my phone. Hate these scammers so much! But what else can you do?!?

These A**holes called me this morning at 0800. Thanks to you all for giving the heads up on these guys. They called yesterday and I had them on caller ID then checked this website. I cussed them out like only an old Marine can. It felt great.

They talk you into shutting down your security on your computer so they can take it over, like the cable people do when you have a tech problem. Then they pull up some screen that shows that your computer is in danger and tell you that you need a ANTI-HACK system on your computer and if you do not get it from them or purchase one, your computer will crash within 30 days. HOW WOULD THEY KNOW THAT? I have had no problems with my computer at all ever.
I hope this helps everyone.

And they called again at 2:15pm today. I didn't answer and the voice mail they left was about 1 second of "boiler room" noise.

I have been called by these folks at least 10 times and the 4th time they called I threatened them with the FCC. No difference. BTW, these folks from anywhere in the world can be accessing a phone system established in the US for just such a purpose, calling through it, and that number fronts as a Philadelphia number. I don't think that the calls originate from the Indian subcontinent but somewhere else in Asia. Since the NSC seems to be monitoring our phone calls perhaps they can monitor this number and put these crooks out of business. Excuse me, I'm trying not to be PIC.

I tried to call back just now and got the following message:
"We're sorry. You've reached a number that has been disconnected or is no longer in service. TWT5 951638."

I received a call from this number today at 2:54pm Pacific Time. I did not answer it and no message was left.

A individual called and said I had some malicious files on my computer. Immediately I knew it was a scam but I wanted to hear what the current pitch was for this things. They want you to go to a website called www.teamviewer.com and download it. It is for a type of software that allows someone remote access to your computer. Very much a scam.. don't fall for it.

The last time they called they successfully passworded my computer, hid my files and tried to extort money from me. Thought it was funny that they locked me out of my computer and would have to pay them. What I had not told them was that I was running a virtual pc on a Mac that was fully backed up. All I had to do to undue their damage was launch the restore from the MAC side and all was well.
Today, they unsuccessfully tried to scam me in the same way. This time they identified themselves as calling from the Internet Crime Complaint Center. However, that is the internet crime reporting department of the FBI. Go to the FBI site and report them.
