What happens after they have your details?
Yes I got caught and I'm gutted.
I need to know what to do next, I've already informed my bank and changed my password but what about my computer, will they be able to hack in to it or would a  return to factory setting stop this from happening.
Even toying with a new computer for complete peace of mind.

I can hardly believe this. Yesterday, October 22 I got a call from Nancy at System Rescue. The call sounded exactly the same as the calls from ezpcsupport. However I asked a lot of questions about the service, payments, location etc. Then I asked for a phone number (is 1 800 425 1136) and said I would call right back and we could continue. No matter when I call the line busy.
Mastercard sent an unsigned form letter indicating I had to pay because I had srewed up their security system by giving out the card number. I wrote back explaining everything we had done to stop the payment, plus information I got from the internet and the company's number from our monthly statement. No answer yet.

What reponsibility does the credit card company have here?
Cyber Astro actually got money from the middleman, MasterCard not me. MasterCard must be able to figure out who exactly got the money.
How did this company get the money from MasterCard?
Don't they have a contract?
Did MasterCard get their fee from Cyber Astro?
If there is no contract between MasterCard and CyberAstro why did MaterCard pay out any money?
I have not gotten very far with the card company yet.

I recieved the same type of call from ezpcsupport.com,they said they were Microsoft technical support and that my computer needed cleaning billed me $348.63 took over my computer for a couple of hrs then got out of it.That was approximately Aug 4.They then called back about 10 days later, and wanted back on my computer,I told them they were scammers and wanted my money back.On my next credit card bill which I recieved today, Sept 21, they have refunded $345.97 on 17 Aug but have charged my card $340.61 and dated it 8 Apr posted 26 Aug.I got in touch with my card provider and claimed fraud but they said because the transaction was dated more than 90 days ago they couldn't do anything about it.They suggested that I Google the biller and contact them to try and get my money back. The first biller was Cyber Media GroGurgaonhar and the second is Cyber Astro LtdGurgaonhar. So far have got no satisfaction.

We got caught in this scam - $264.53 was charged to our MasterCard by CYBER ASTRO LTD GURGAON. The internet has plenty of info about the company including an address and telephone number in India, if you look hard enough. Also EZPCSUPPORTS has info on the internet. However there is no way to actually contact them which is very frustrating because they claim to be an on-line repair service company. The first time I finally said no after spending a lot of time on the compter and phone. The second time my wife gave them our card number but we had no way to contact them to cancel before they got our money.

I received the same call as most of you yesterday, 9-16-11, figured out it was a scam which was later confirmed by my computer resource professional. I just filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.
I was 50/50 believing them for a while but finally figured it was a scam and am still mad that I spent any of my time on the phone with them.   They were "good" but shame on me!

Prank Call
Well here we go I got a call Aug 11 at pm time stating he was from ezpcsupports.com and told me my Pc was infected I asked him how did he know this he had said from Windows. He guided me in my programs listing and pointed out 14 red alerts and 1 caution so I let them have it offering me a 2 year protection plan for S185.00.  I said that was too much I can buy security software for much less so then he offered 2 extra years service free. Learned my lesson they were in my pc doing this and that for 2 hours off and on. Left fake email address and receipt in my junk box as i notice later and transferred them to my inbox. On Aug 18th I get a call from him again stating this transactions did not go thru and had to go clean up my Pc some more I was charged under this different address base in India called Cyber Media Group Gurgaon AMT this is off my visa bills second charge $!84.81= 8,225.10 rupee. Good clue it comes out of India. The first Transaction thru Paypal I have been had twice.

Same thing just happened to me. Is there anything we can do? Does reporting them have any effect at all? They just seem to change numbers and carry out their bull crap in some other way. Bottom line; if they're not from a known company that you have already done business with, hang up.

Just got the exact same call !  Something didn't sit right and I refused to give him access to my computer.
I called the store where I bought my computer and the service guy there told me it was a scam and also gave me the info about the CLID being the same for all Windows XP systems.

I received a call from "Windows repair service" who advised me that within the last month my computer was putting out malware. They could fix it. They led me through some preliminary steps to get the software CLSID number up on the screen and then transferred me to another operator who read out a code and asked if it matched mine. It did which was supposed to confirm that they were talking to the right person (and gain your trust).
It turns out that all Windows XP systems have the same number.
When they wanted to take control of my system and then tell me what security software I needed (to buy) I told them that I would have to call them back and they quickly terminated the call.
