I just received a text message from this number - same as everyone above.  Immediately wants full name, address, e-mail address and to pay by check.  Thank you all so much for putting your experiences on here - because of you I know not to trust this person.

ReCeived text about bed I had on Craigslist. Just like sharyn Dupont wanted to send money order and wanted my name and full address. Saved text to report about this problem.

Called and wanted to pick up my car was going to send me a check when it cleared they would get the car. wanted my address name and location of car

This number contacted my cell phone and answered an add from Quantico Yard Sales, which is a local online yard sale service for military bases, like craigslist for sale items only.  This was back in July and they claimed they made a purchase through PayPal.  If it were not for their misspellings and one grammatical error in an email they later sent me, using PayPal art work and making it appear the email was from PayPal, I would have been bamboozled.  I contacted PayPal about the email and they confirmed it was not them.  

Pretty tricky, I saved all the texts and emails and just recently decided to inform the authorities or your service to shut them down.  
They never called, only texted and emailed me.

Received a text from this number for Cars.com ad

I had the same problem with this phone #( 224-366-7517) about Cragslist and this text me all time and have many diferent phone numbers witn diferent area code from diferent state. I cant imagen how this person do it.

I had the same thing happen to me. Again from a Craigslist ad.

I live in Virginia. This number tried to scam me from my Craigslist ad where I'm selling a truck. They wanted me to fall for the typical money order and shipping line. I didn't and hopefully nobody else will either.
