I have hung some many times on these 'from windows tech dept' about time the government used all the power that they have and shut these cowboys down.

Same as you all...certainly sounds like a scam to me.

Received call at 4:55 PM on 5/49/2014 from Glencoe On, 226-690-2255.  My answering machines states that the number calling is having their number traced, so they hung up immediately.  While it is true that all numbers calling me are being traced, my resources advise that this number and others from this same location have a reputation for "scam."  I have not found yet what exactly they claim the nature of their call is, but they should be receiving a call from a government agency shortly.  Then I'll report back.  Meanwhile, stay alert.

This "company" keeps calling me saying that my Windows computer has a virus. I never let them get further than that before I tell them to put me on their 'do not call list', which has never happened. I don't even own a windows computer. I am very annoyed that they keep calling me.

Called around 7:00 pm but when I answered phone all I got was dead air. Why do I keep my land line?
