Our company was contacted.  Delvin Knowles provided us will several card for a payment of our product and shipping that he arranged with Rocket Freight.  After we received all the payment, we sent money to Rocket Freight and then never heard from either one again.  Then the credit card charges came back and we were out of pocket for the money we sent Rocket Freight.
Both are frauds.  Spread the word.

Got the same worded emails. Funny enough I even traced the shipping company, left a voicemail and got a call back. Reverse 411 brought the number to Atlantic City NJ although the "shipper" said they were in Chicago. Let alone the fact that he barely spoke English although he did manage to send me back an email.

Anyway take note of the names and add them to the list!

What a bloody scam. That cost me half an hour of my morning,

Yeah I got the same to deliver from Australia to Sweden, what got me concerned is when I requested a billing address, I got details for an address in my home town in NSW which raised my concern.

It seemed kind of dumb to me that he was on our website already requesting pricing for products that are clearly showing the prices on the website. A big red flag went up when he said he would like the most expensive units we carry WITHOUT shipping costs. I know most companies don't charge for shipping if the order is over a certain dollar amount and sometimes our company accommodates such orders. I Googled his email and luckily found this post.

I get a lot of scammers from our website, and it goes the same way every time. They want the most expensive products without shipping. They say they will have a freight company come pick it up so that's why they request a quote without shipping. They'll even give you the freight company info which is usually an email address that ends in a common @yahoo or @gmail. What freight company do you know that has an email account with yahoo or gmail? It just looks sketchy. I suggest that you get a wire transfer before shipping anything out. And before doing a quote or putting a lot of work into something that might be a scam, get ALL the information up front. Once you can find one, it's easy to spot the rest.  So I responded to Joe:

Actually, Joe I was a little wary of your request so I googled your email. I see that you have been trying to scam a lot of people. Please do not waste anymore of my time or my company?s time any longer with your requests. Thank you and have a good day.

Incidentally I traced the IPHost to Ghana Telecom, a country pretty close to Nigeria which seems to be where the majority of these scams originate. They have rooms full of people on computers hitting every email address they can find. They get paid if they are successful,  hence the 2g14 in the email address, it identifies which person pulled off the scam and gets the pay-off

It looks like they are back at it again.  I received an email stating they wanted 35 tons of pellets. Needed me to contact the Shipping company (Seaxasea Shipping Co.) with weight,size and quantity, and value of goods. Same thing, using credit card and shipping to Haiti.  Thanks for the postings!!!

I AWAYS check business name, address and country before I quote anything.

A big giveaway is the font of the email and a vague discription of what is asked of.
If the person is honestly in the industry you supply, they would know exactly what they require without asking these stupid requests!!

This person has even tried NZ, however we get Scams all the time and I know what to look out for.

The main reason why I became suspicious is because he wanted me to email his freight company. And the email address provided is @yahoo.com

A major freight company will always have their own Domain Name...

Which lead me to do a Google search and came accross this website - THANK YOU!
