this is a complete scam company. they make a good living by being a fraud company, and do not have anything legal to do with Google.

caller ID says "marketing".  Robo Sharon AGAIN wanting to put me on the front page of Google.  Funny,. the robo that called me earlier today said I had a Google error listing.  No wonder business is slow, the REAL customers cannot get thru the scammers.

It isn't google doing this.  These are scammers who want to charge you for "getting your google listing on the front page of searches".

Got two calls one right after the other from this number while on the phone with my business partner.  Answered the second one 5 second of dead air and then they hung up.  Why do they persist in doing this, what does it accomplish for them?  It only ticks me off.  If they ever do actually call with a real person on the other end they will get a lecture about how I would never do business with somebody who ran their business the way they do.

They are trying to sell there services to setup your local Google page which is simple to do and free. They try to make it sound like they work magic and do something highly technical to get you high on Google searches. I took 15 minutes to set up my own and and was showing up on the first page when my town and one of my keywords was searched for together. If anyone interested just search "google places" and it should come up but It's been rolled into google plus now.

Advise the scammers that they contacted a Witness Protection Location and all incoming call locations are identified and by law Federal Agents must visit their location shortly as child pornography is involved.
If they don't hang up immediately or stop calling your number you will need more practice in stating that (1) one sentence with more conviction.

I get calls from 240-212-0216. On a callback they say the number is disconnected. Vary annoying but when I asked the operator about it all they can say is they have no information.

A recorded call from professed Google placement expert "Sharon" claiming "she" can place you in one of the top spots with Google. Immediately goes into the recording the instant you pick up which makes the call even more irritating then these calls already are in their own right. Caller ID came in as Oakland, MD. - 240.212.0216. Don't bother to pick up.

HA!  Sometimes I press 1 and say I'm Queen Elizabeth.  They hang up on me!  I mean if they can lie why can't I?

I've got this number 240-212-0216 on my bogus caller list and they call daily.  When you try to call back you get a recorded message saying the number is unlisted.  Guess they are truly scammers and thieves if they are displaying a fake number.  They used to be "google listing salesidiots" but now they don't even say anything.  Mostly I pick up and hang up immediately.  Since I'm the receptionist I have to answer all calls.  They are probably offshore illegals who get paid .05 per call.

Sad.

Got the call - didn't not answer.  Blocked their future calls.

This is not google and there is no 'sharon'.

This company is "Internet Local Listings".  They are located at 1600 N Broadway St Suite #720 Santa Ana CA 92706.  Their real phone number is 949 579-2767.

The punk kid in charge is "Sam Riemer" with email "sam@internetlocallistings.com".  One of his green employees tipped me off about the real identity of this company today.

I am at a PUBLIC UNIVERSITY and this number calls EVERY SINGLE ONE of my department's phones every other week.  It's always Robot "Sharon, our local Google Specialist" with some "great opportunities".  If you "push 2" it will remove you from the list, but I do NOT understand why Sharon and her company can keep spam calling my University.
