They identify themselves as Microsoft certified technicians who want to help me fix my computer.  Having been a near-victim of one of these scams, I hang up on them.  They have called twice so far about one week apart.  I believe that the intent is to gain access to my personal computer.

I would classify the call type as a SCAM.

Bangalore calling, I think. Comes in as Troy, MI. Extremely noisy background noise (obviously, a huge call center). Could barely understand the guy, between his accent, the muffled phone connection on his part & the background noise. Kept telling me he's trying to help me with my wireless downloads. I told him more than once to take me off of his call list, but he refused because "this isn't a sales call." Thankfully, my phone has a blocked calls feature, so they're on there now.

These FREAKEN JERKS call my landline phone 3 to 5 times a day,Then hang up on me. cannot call them back.
