Seems to be starting up again as 'Sharon Wolf' called from this number & left message saying she 'ran across my resume' & asking if I wanted to discuss unnamed opportunuties. She called my cell too which is not on any version of my resume so there is the first lie. Based on previous posts I will ignore.

Just checked my messages and had the same call from Sharon Wolfe saying "your résumé just came across my desk here in Troy". Said had Positions plural open and wanted me to come in for interview. 248-688-9480. Found it odd since I know I haven't sent any resumes to Troy but thought I would Google it and found this. Switchboard showed it and the whole 9400 series as unlisted land line, not the way legitimate businesses operate I would think. Also found it curious because I just activated my Résumé at Michigan Works! I was just waiting for this to happen as it has before when I have the Talent Bank listing active. Glad you all put this resource here to save me time and expense.

The DNC list is like a cheap lock. It's only there to keep honest people honest. Frauds and Scammers are criminals. They don't feel the need to be honest. In addition, several entities are exempt from the list and unethical telemarketers will attempt to pass themselves off as belonging to an exempt group. Foreign scammers don't even know the list exists and wouldn't care if they did.
The DNC list is a worthy idea, but is only effective when applying to ethical companies or groups. Sadly, those are few and far between. It's a new world! And it's getting off to a crappy start.

Just received a call from "Sharon Wolfe" this morning on my answering machine, so I thought I'd check it out on-line and see if there was anything criminal involved with this organization. Sounds like a racket and a good reason to be on the Do Not Call list.
I'm on the DNC list, so why am I getting this call from 248-688-9480?
liz 2013-01-25 18:10:57 Unknown

Recieved the same phone call from Mr.Wolf, the first thing that took me by surprise was that the interview
was being held in a suite in Troy, Michigan. No company name then when I called him back I was listening
to the back ground and it sounded like a telecommunication conference. After reading your post Mr. Wolf
can go play with kids his own age.

Unsolicited phone call leaving phone number only

Dorian Wolfe cld our home this morning looking for our son. Mentioned a job opp. but gave no details.
Funny thing is our son does not live with us, hasn't for a number of years. Sure he would not use our. Home phone # as a way to contact him. Think old Dorian was fishing. Be wary.

Employment scams (where there is *NO* job) include but are not limited to:
1. Victims pay $$$ up front for required crap like uniforms, certification, background check, 1/2 airline ticket, etc.
2. You don't quite qualify for the job but are counseled to go back to school (scammer gets paid on college referral).
3. You are offered an interview and find out later it's a no-salary, commission-only, you-pay-expenses, perhaps-MLM sales job with poor leads.
4. Your job as financial agent is to receive checks, cash them at your own bank, and Western Union cash away (checks will bounce).
5. You give your personal info because you believe you are applying for a real job which can lead to ID theft.
6. You are offered crap like surveys, etc., that's totally unrelated to your job hunt, that the caller will earn $$$ on.
7. You are hired as a trainee only because the scammers are collecting a Fed subsidy. Subsidy received/ends, you gone!
REMEMBER -- THERE IS *NO* JOB, I.E., NO SALARIED POSITION.
anonymous 2012-02-14 19:31:39 Unknown
So the "financial license" you bought from this scammer costs less than others? I can sell you a fake worthless BA for $500 or you can go to a real school, work hard for 4 years, pay many $thousands for tuition and living expenses, and earn a REAL one. Hint: the fake $500 one "is better than I am being offered by [real colleges]".
anonymous 2012-02-14 19:29:36 Unknown
Hahahahahaha! An unnamed "Fortune 500 company" is calling people AT RANDOM and offering free training and licenses for mysterious jobs without having the slightest idea of what peoples' work experiences are! Could this be the "Santa Claus Company" or the "Tooth Fairy Company?" Don't you understand this is simply unbelievable? You need to go back to shill school! Hahahahahaha! Hahahahahaha! Hahahahahaha!

Just recieved a call from Dorian Wolf and he left me a voicemail. He said he was from Dorian Ford. At first he said he recieved my resume, but then scratched that and said someone referred me to him. I didn't call him back after reading these posts.

People and companies like this are making careerbuilder and monster a complete joke. I've had so many phone calls/voicemails and emails about shady jobs/positions such as the one Dorian Wolf was offering. They all operate the exact same way, through parent companies like Cydor and Primerica. It is essentially a pyramid scam when u break the business down even though there is legit fortune 500 companies involved ex. Direct Energy.

I received a phone call from "Dorian Wolf" saying he wanted to discuss an "interesting opportuntity" - I could not figure out why the names was so familiar until I read the posts.......he called me about 18 months ago. Same thing.
Master Driver 2011-10-18 16:55:49 Unknown
Turns out to be a pretty good opportunity. I've been paying over $800 per credit hour to get the background and training to get the same financial licenses they pay for. It may not be for everyone, but it is better than I am being offered by smaller companies such as Raymond James. To each their own...

Just got a voicemail from this number, didn't say anything about who the company is or the position but there are several openings with his company. Left name Dorian Wolf and 248-688-9480. Not wasting my time after everything I have read.
estate scammer 2011-09-19 19:23:09 Unknown
And how much did they pay you to post this, you lying scumbag? Because, you see, honest companies don't need to post ANYTHING on sites like this .... only scammers do!
estate_planner 2011-09-19 19:20:27 Unknown
I went in and discovered it's a Fortune 500 company. Fits in well with my occupation. Great thing is they are paying for my training and licenses--up front.
I talked to other companies and they were making strange promises.
Lindsay 2011-09-12 16:07:52 Unknown
I just got a phone call from the same Dorian Wolf from 248-688-9480 offering a position with his company but left no further information. I googled the name and this popped up. I'm glad to see that my gut was right and that I'll be taking my phone number and other self identifiers off of my resume on Monster.
Looking for a Real Job 2011-08-08 21:27:13 Unknown
Wow! Last week got a call from Dorian Wolf saying he came across my resume on Monster and left I would be a perfect fit for the position.... Never saying what the position is or the company. Just a number to call back. Now I just got a call from a Steve from Hines and Associates sounding like he was on his cell phone saying he was the retail staffing manager and for me to call him back he will wait for my call till 7:00pm. But again no info on position or how he came across my resume. SMH

I got the same call, a "Dorian Wolf" said that he came across my resume would like to talk to me about a part or full time position, without saying the company name or what the position is or even where he saw my resume. Didn't even bother to call back, too shady
Adam 2011-06-30 22:13:58 Telemarketer
Got same call today from ?Dorian Wolf? - no information about "the job" just a phone number, not wasting my time after reading these posts.
Job Seeker with Monster 2011-06-07 14:33:31 Telemarketer
Unsolicited call from ?Dorian Wolf? about an ?interesting full time or part time opportunity?. Did not leave a message about the opportunity or company name. So it must be something shady like the people above are talking about. Hey maybe it is ?Vector Marketing? with an interesting opportunity to sell knives to my friends and family!
