This number (250-383-6894) calls several times a week. ID says SPRINT CANADA, but returning the call says it's out of service. We're in Victoria, it's a Vic area code.

Weird sequence today: One ring only from this number (250-383-6894) showing 'Sprint' on call display; followed within a few seconds by one ring only from 250-727-5824, nothing on call display; followed within another few seconds by another call from 250-727-5824, which I picked up. Dead silence on the line, like you get just before someone picks up from an auto-dialer, so I hung up myself. I'm also in Victoria, BC.

Ya this is a voip dial out number I suspect. You can't call it back. Just for losers using some computer phone that dials out through this number locally. They are likely in a far off poor country.

It's always a scammer of some sort!!!

Rec'd a call of only one ring from this number 250-383-6894 at 3:39pm today (May 29, 2014). Tried to ring back but phone message is "this number is unassigned, try the number again". I tried 5 times over 2 hours but the message is the same. I am in Victoria.

Call today from 2503836894 says it is westjet and that if I press one I can win $999 dollars in free flights.  Nope.  If it was $1000 then maybe I would have pressed one. :P

This number, ostensibly SPRINT CANADA, has called daily for the past week.  When I look at my call display and see it is this number I DO NOT AND WILL NOT answer.

Was about "final call to reduce your credit costs ". Not in service  was the response when tried to call 250-383-6894. This is a local number that says"sprint Canada ". They used a different number last week with same promo. When asked last week to be removed from call list, they wanted a credit card to charge me $450.00!  

Just received this call on my smartphone. Immediately dial the number shown. Woman's voice said it is no longer in service and please check again.

I have been phoned twice so far; both times someone claiming to be phoning to help me with my problems with windows?
I said , "pardon me? "( stringing him along) ..he said, "you know, your , computer"
The first time , I said, "I don't have windows."
The second time, I said,"I know who you are, you should be ashamed of yourself, scamming people like this." ( immediately he hung up..)
The phone number was the same one, everyone has mentioned...I will report it to the cops tomorrow...

Just got a call from this number at 7am on a Saturday morning. Male, East Indian accent and trying to pull the Microsoft virus scam. Told him I was with the Victoria Police Department anti-fraud department and was tracing the call. He quickly hung up.

Just got a call from this number at 11:30 pm. They had a fake Chinese accent and claimed to be from a Chinese food buffet and that I had eaten too much. What. The. If they call again I'm going to report the number.

Got a call from "Microsoft" today just to let me know I have a lot of viruses on my PC. Of course today is the day Microsoft issued the "patch". I just hug up in the middle of his spiel and he immediately called back--just didn't answer the phone. This was a cell phone call as well with call display as Sprint. Do people still fall for this scam? Do they ever give up? Enough already.

Called my landline a dozen times. I asked them to remove me from their list. The women hung up. My wife answered the next 2 times she asked again and was met with the reply of "I love you and I'll keep calling. only if you say you love me". She asked him what he said and he replied again! The next time she asked  him to stop calling. He replied you have a sexy voice I'll call you in your bedroom. I'm going to keep calling and calling and calling. She replied, I'm recording you . He laughed and said he's recording her too. Then hung up.

Got a call from this number on my cell today. Answered it and it was a recording saying that won $300 Telus dollars. I hung up

Just got a call from this number.  Tried calling it back in case it was someone I knew......No answer......then I looked it up and found this forum.......Thanks to all of you for your honesty.....and I had finally just got the stupid "You have a collect call from a prison inmate" scam to finally stop............sigh..........

Missed a call from this number this morning. Call display said Sprint Canada. Called the number back and got a recording saying the number was not in service.

Answered call from desk-phone in Victoria BC at ~1020  No-one on the line but noises that sounded like someone running up a stairwell were heard...

I live in Victoria and I actually have a legitimate business in Nigeria. I just got a call from this number and it was my business partner in Nigeria. But I also have gotten calls from this number in the past with no one there. I am thinking that this is some sort of call forwarding number that can be used by anyone, whether legitimate or not.

Got a call at my workplace from this number, it claimed it was Westjet. Total scam.

this number 250-383-6894 just called my cell phone and hung up when I answered.   No identification or message.

These scumbags called me today, trying to get my credit card numbers (yes, both front and back) to "verify" who I was so they could lower my interest rates I pay on my card.  An obvious scam.  I had fun with two of them for about twenty minutes til they finally hung up on me.  They would not identify the name of the company they represented, give an address, phone number and when I asked them why they, as partners of the credit card company are calling on a cel phone, they finally hung up.  Do yourself a favour, just don't answer the phone when these criminals call.  They are trying to commit fraud with your credit card!!

Call received from same number/ID, which is not listed on 411 (incidentally, Sprint Canada was taken over by Rogers in 2005, I believe), yesterday and day before.  By the time I picked up the earlier one, the always-on answ.mach cut in - they hung up before the outgoing message was finished.  I picked it up yesterday, and was given the same c***-and-bull story about Windows support, my computer infected, etc. - all in a virtually incomprehensible accent. Two successive demands for English-speaking supervisors resulted in minimal improvement.  As I wanted to play them, I let them direct me to my computer, where they would provide me with some stroke-combinations that would "fix the problem".... I then demanded a number which I could call back, "to verify the legitimacy" of this communication.  To my surprise, she told me that she is calling from Brooklyn, gave me 347-840-2300 (in case anyone else gets it); it is listed as a "Verizon wireless mobile, NY, NY."  I haven't bothered to call it.

I got the call today that displayed to be from Sprint Canada but was about a deal to reduce credit card interest rates.  At the end it says to press 1 to talk to someone and press 2 to have your name removed from any future calls.  This is going to get too many to fall for it as everyone wants plans to reduce interest rates.   I called the Saanich police and they said that they will be in contact with the local media.

I got a call from the number today and the display said that it's from Sprint Canada.  I was a automatic message saying that there isn't a problem with my credit card, no mention of what credit card or from who, but talk to them to get the interest rate reduced.  At the end it said to press 1 to talk to someone to get this, press 2 to be removed from the phone calls.  I phoned the Saanich police about it and told me to call Phonebusters and that they will be in contact with the local media to broadcast it to the public.

Just had two missed calls from the 250-383-6894 Number and I live in BC my self and dont know the number
