This is a credit card scam. I they asked me for my credit card number and when I asked them what company they were calling from, they said "the card services division". And I asked from which company? And then the lady hung up! NEVER give your credit card number to anyone.

I got the same call and tried to call them back, but always get a busy signal, they finally called me again, and said they needed more information to help me with some credit cards. I actually had been working with a financal company to get some credit card interest rates lowered, and so I gave them way too much info. Now I am really scared, so I just cancelled the credit card they were asking about. Hopefully, that will stop them. Geez, I know better too. OMG

I just received a call from that number and its a credit card scam. The number is out of Victoria BC. I have filed a complaint with the RCMP Phone Buster Squad with regards to this number. I would suggest that you give them a call. As for the no call list in Canada it is only voluntary and they do not have to follow it. So yes it is pretty much useless.

I'm getting sick and tired of these weird numbers calling these people called this evening at 5, I let it go to voice mail because I didn't know the number. I have our number on a do not call list and don't know why these weird numbers keep getting through. Whats the point of the no call list if they are still able to call and harrass people.

These guys repeatedly call saying they are from "account services" and that you have a limited time to "lower your interest rates" and that if you are interested to talk to a live operator to press "1". They don't specify which company they are from and if you press "1" the line goes dead without any response.
