Just got a call from this number and didn't answer it. When I called it back, it was "disconnected". How do these scammers get unpublished phone numbers? And, once a complaint like this gets "reported", what happens then? This isn't the first time something like this has happened.

They called my work.  I don't answer any number I do not know and especially do not answer with an area code not in my area at work.  They didn't leave a message.

If  they  threaten  to  put  you  in  jail ,  they  cant  come  to  your  house  ,  even  if  they  wanted  to ,  only  a  policeman  can  and  only   if  there  is  a  warrant  out  for  your  arrest .
THERE   ARE   NO   DEBTORS   PRISONS  IN  THE  USA.

Received a call from this number.  I didn't answer it, but decided to research the number which took me to this site.  Obviously, this number is problem after reading the posts.  Hopefully, someone can stop the calls.

Just not right.  I am a touch paranoid as it is and when odd numbers call I assume there is an emergency.  Then to miss it and hear that the number has been disconnected when I call back?  ABSOLUTELY NOT RIGHT!  Where do they get off and don't they know they are screwing with people?  Something NEEDS to be done.  If there are no consequences, there is not a reason for their actions to cease!

SICK TO DEATH of those annoying and sometimes vicious calls at all hours of the day, night and wee hours of the morning.  I never ever pick up a call from anyone who's not on my contact list.  But these calls keep coming. I've reported a multitude of calls to the NDNC center, but these scammers simply dump the phone and get another.  The problem seems worse than ever, but don't know what to do about it.

I just received a call from this number and am already with a number similar that calls my work mine stop how do I get these calls to stop its getting old and frustrating

May 31 and today June 11. Answered a number one time and it mentioned I owed back taxes!!! How do we stop these idiots???

I too just got a call from this number when I was on another call. I switched over yo answer and got no responce. When I called that number back a recording came on saying the number was disconnected. Something needs to be done about this and ASAP

ummm. you just gave out your cell number to everyone on google who looks up the scam number. I suggest you delete it from this web site unless you want strangers  crank calling you.

Called at work about Federal Income Taxes owed.  We don't owe any, hung up.

This number calls all times of the day. I've read posts that that is happening to may people. I hope this will stop i had this number for a very long time.

Anita, no one on this site can stop the calls. This is simply a forum to pass on information about the calls. There are some tips and tricks listed on this website to help you but that is all. You also need to go back and remove that boneheaded post that you put your number in. You just gave everyone your number.

they called my cell phone. i didnt recognize the number so i didnt pick up. googled the number and it brought be here so I blocked the number.

Called me, I answered, silence.
I called the number back and it RANG once before the standard message about the number being disconnected was played. The message sounded like they recorded it and with the one ring before the message this definitely looks like that.
I am sure that the OP is correct about this being a scam robo dialer. Also, I saw a comment about being on the do-not-call list. If you are registered there and receive unsolicited calls anyway, you can (should) report that on the do-not-call website, indicating the number as well as date/time/details of call (as far as you can remember).

Do not answer these calls.  Same as above.  IF you answer, they know that the line is good and will re-sell you all over the place. I marked them as SPAMMMERS/SCAMMERS in my phone contacts.

Got a phone call (1:29pm) from an out-of-state number that I didn't "know" or recognize.  
(Does this mean that they are involved in Interstate Fraud?)  
They, of course, left no message.  
As always, I didn't answer, but looked up the number here.  

I am on the National Do-Not-Call List, and have been for over a couple of years now.  
(I guess this is our government at work for us.)  

I'm going to

and see if that can get the government to work for me, and stop these calls.

Bogus #. When I returned the call a recording responded that it was disconnected or no longer in service

I received a call from (251) 660-0662 the recorded message said that they were calling from the IRS debt resolution line to work out an agreement for the amount I owe to the IRS.  I don't owe the IRS anything.

When I called the number back it said it was disconnected or no longer in service.

June 04 2013 just received a IRS tax due...

I tried to file a complaint against this number to the  National Do Not Call Registry and I got this message:

"YOUR COMPLAINT HAS NOT BEEN ACCEPTED

We cannot accept your complaint because the company phone number you entered and your registered phone number are the same, Please verify the company phone number and reenter the complaint. Thank you."


I reentered the complaint a second time and got the same response.
