Philippino lady called. Asked questions about allergy, air conditioners, etc. Then wanted to know if I worked full time and if I had animals.  After I hung up I started to release how stupid I was to answer her questions. I wonder now if she's planning a home invasion. I plan to contact police.

Did anything become of this?  I just had the identical call.. Same questions... Now I feel sick that they know we work full time as well.

I just got a call from this number 1/13/13, a lady with an accent said she was with Micro Technologies and they were conducting a survey.  She asked about air pollution, recycling, if we have pets, do we work full time, do we smoke. at the end I asked where she was from again and she said Advanced Technologies and quickly hung up before I could ask more.  I am on the do not call list. She had my first name.  I felt like I disclosed too much and they could be scoping the neighborhood for home invasion. The questions seemed innocent enough until you realize she just found out I don't own a dog and we work full time.  They will be surprised I guess that we work full time but not usual hours.  When I tried to call it back it has a do not disturb lock on it.

the next time i get a call from this number i plan on turning it over to the Att. Gen. as harrassment when we asked to be taken off the calling list they hung up!

Received a call from this number, left no message and sat on the anwsering machine without saying a word and then hung up after a few minutes, idiots have nothing better to do???

Said they were conducting a 30 second survey. I declined. When I asked them to take me off their call list they said "NOOOO!" and hung up on me.

I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST and this person keeps calling.  Is there anyway to stop them ?  I don't what Company they from they won't say

I had the same experience Spanaway Resident had. It was a Tacoma number but not one I knew, so I let it go to voicemail. The recording was about ten seconds of background noise, including a phone ringing.

After listening to it, my husband guessed it was a 'boiler room', a collection agency's calling room. From what other posters have described, I'd guess it's a subcontractor, as most legitimate agencies operate within the law. Subcontractors are more likely to try to use intimidation and other bully tactics, which is not legal.

Called and left no message.  I think it may be the same company that has been calling me using other similar phone numbers:  253-238-5840 and 253-238-8773.  I didn't talk to them but if they're asking personal questions without identifying themselves I think it's suspicious too.

Just got a call from that number. Did not recognize number so let the call go to answering machine. There was a long pause populated only with background noise and nothing else. Eventually the line was disconnected

so for less than a year. I just received a very annoying call from telephone number: 1-253-238-3699. Today is Wednesday February 23, 2011. At 4:17 PM. Telephone no 1-253-238-3699 called my number. When I answered it hung up. Then at 4:18 they called back. I tried to remind the lady with a strong accent on the other end very politely that my phone was registered nationally as a Do Not Call Number but she said: “I think you are an idiot”. “You are an idiot and a moron” and then hung up.

No message just a lot of noise in the background and then they hung up

08/16/10 phone rang, a male with a strong unknown accent asked for (name) when I replied (name) was not home, he asked when was the best time to contact, when I asked who was calling he hung up, have reported the call as harrasment

Got a phone call on the evening of the twenty four of April.When answered they asked for me then hung up.
There was no name of who called.
Tried the next day and got an answer,that the party had left a message of do not disturb

Said it was a survey.  Wanted to know about my prefered brand of appliances.  Wish I wouldn't have answered the phone.  Seemed suspicious after I hung up.
