this # is supposed to be national do not call registry. I stayed on the phone for over 10 min. when i called them back left several phone messages on their system as they stated and they still keep calling I have reported them to the FTC.

Received a call a couple of days ago from this number but did not answer. How are these companies getting away with rotating numbers and why are phone companies providing them. They should be fined for the mess being created as well as the scams menacing our private lives. My advice is not to try and call these numbers back as they may be forwarding our numbers to other marketeers. Just like catalog companies sell, share and exchange our mail info. As for the DNCR, it's a worthless waste of taxpayer money if we still keep getting these types of calls. This is the third posting today for unidentifiable calls or marketeers.

Third call. FTC is a joke. People file complaints and the calls keep coming. I wrote to my Congressman and ask him to pull the funding on this do nothing agency. Has ANYBODY ever heard from the FTC aftef filing a complaint. Maybe "Peggy" runs the FTC. BJNJ

Receive repeated call from this number, a recording saying they have important information about "your credit card". You have to press "1" to be connected to to a rep, who identifies the company as "Credit Card Services". Repeated questions about their identity, or if I ask if they've ever heard of the National Do-Not-Call Registry results in a hang-up. When I call the number on caller ID, I get a recording asking if I'd like to be added to the "do-not-call" list. This is phony, because I was already on it, and adding it again here hasn't stopped the calls.

I received a call on my cell from this number at 4:32pm EST. I did not get to the phone in time to answer but we called back as we have family in the Kent, WA area code. The number was answered with a recorded message that claimed to be the "Do Not Call" registry and to press 1 to add our number to it. This is obviously a bogus setup as our number is already on the legitimate registry and there is no way the government would be calling numbers to add it. Probably recording your number when you press 1. I have filed a complaint with the legitimate National Do Not Call Registry and emphasized that the number is claiming to be them.

They just called my cell phone, I missed the call . I get these kind of calls all the time. On the DNC list grrrr!
njo 2011-12-21 19:29:37 Unknown
They just called my cell phone, I missed the call and when I tried to call them back no one answered. My house and cell numbers are both on the do not call list, but it doesn't do any good. I get businesses calling both phones all the time...............................where is our government when we need them?

called and didnt leave a message
Tired of Telemarketers!! 2011-12-21 16:53:18 Unknown
It doesn't do any good to tell them to remove your number, cuz they continue to call. Just got another call from them, on my cell phone again! Going to report them to the FCC AGAIN!! Thought there was supposed to be a $500 fine, per call, that the FCC is supposed to impose on them, since I'm on the Do Not Call List and I have informed them of that!
Nivek 2011-12-21 16:32:38 Unknown
It is tremendously hard to stop this kind of spam. Blocking the numbers might help, but it is very easy to spoof a caller ID.
On that note, I like to have many different sound bites available to troll (prank) them. It makes my day :)

This is the WORST. They keep calling my cell phone at all hours. When I ask to remove, hey hang up! I have both home and cell on the do not call registry.

I - and many others - received this call in October from (253) 246-8586; now it appears thev'be started calling from (253) 246-8534. Just like most everyone else, I am also on the national DNC list; and just like everyone else, I am reporting them to both http://www.fcc.gov/complaints and https://complaints.donotcall.gov.

December 20, 2011 @ 4:41 PM...Another telemarketer....no message left. Called my cellphone. These idiots need some jail time to teach them not to call people on the DO NOT CALL LIST.
PO'ed 2011-12-20 21:21:28 Unknown
I've gotten numerous phone calls from this number. I don't answer because I won't answer a call from an unknown number but they've never left a message. They don't get the hint and stop calling though. Today alone I received a call every five minutes, none of which I answered.

I asked twice for the name of the company who was calling me, the woman refused and then hung up on me. Obvious scam, I reported to FCC.

This, and several other numbers have been calling me for almost 3 months now because i filled out 2 forms online seeking health insurance QUOTES.... after purchasing the health insurance i wanted, nearly 2 and a half months ago, the calls still come. At the time of me putting my email on the sites, within 48 hours i had received literally 90 phone calls from people offering me insurance. i urge you to find a health care provider you like, and call them directly as i did. When they keep calling, ask for a manager or supervisor immediately and politely ask him to take your number off the list. As for the ones that just call and hang up right away, it's some glitch in their computer system that makes the automated call, and will most likely happen indefinitely. Good luck to you all.

If you are like me, you did a Google search on a phone number that just called you - "253-246-8534"
TREAT THIS AS A SCAM!
Supposedly, this is an opportunity to 'get into a lower interest rate'. They sternly told me on a recording that 'this is their last attempt to reach me'. I certainly hope I am so lucky.
Do NOT call this number back and ABSOLUTELY DO NOT give them your credit card numbers, your social security numbers or any other information.
TREAT THIS AS A SCAM!

got another call, 2-3 per week, from 253.246.8534 and "Account Services" i pressed 1, thinking that a supervisor would be able to take me off their list. I said that i had credit card debt, [i don't] and that they want more info, like the type of card, and the issuing bank, and would probably want the card numbers,
At any point, that you ask for more info about them, you get hung up on. so . . . .
I have complained to the FCC, but they are slow like other Gov agencies. so i will try the blocking method, mentioned above. someone posted that these people are like cockroaches, so just keep blocking and turning on all the lights.
I work in a financial industry, and the roaches of my industry, use telemarketers, to increase their businesses. I am amazed what kind of crap business owners, fall for. I can say this with certainty, NO TELEMARKETING CALLERS, no matter why they are calling, should ever be believed. If all of us NEVER bought from a TELEMARKETER, in any industry, they would get the hint. [altho there are new fools born every minute]
Happy Holidays.

Log into the National Do Not Call Registry and file a complaint using the tab in the lower left margin. Continue to file complaints until the FTC does something about this spammer.

This outfit (credit card services) is out of Kent Washington. They purchase phone lists and put them into thier automated call switch gear, If the auto call message ( this is your last opertunity) gets a hit ( that is some one opens the switch by hitting "1") it will forward the call to an operater who gives the sales pitch from a phone room operation. This type of outfit should be put out of business. they are like cockroaches, when someone turns on a light they run and hide. The only way to stop them is to file a legal action , but they know no one will go to that expence. We all know what good it will do to file with the Government. So take the time and each time this type of jerk calls, copy the number shown on your caller ID and block it on your phone. It takes work on your part but it works and messes with the caller.

Unwanted phone calls, sales, political, otherwise are a type of harassing phoning, and should be abolished.
