I just got the same call from a very simular number 253-333-9524 "contest verification". I just picked up the phone off the hook and set it down so the unwanted caller from contest verification could listen to my TV since I had no intention of talking to them.

Got a call from "Contest Verification" saying I had won a prize package. Caller would not say who she worked for or who she represented. I asked how she had gotten my number and she said I had filled out a contest entry, which is a total lie since I don't do that since they're simply used to collect your name and address for sales calls like this one.
You could hear a lot of other callers in the background telling other folks that they too were lucky winnners.
I told the caller I hadn't filled out any contest forms and asked how she liked lying to people for a living. She said "Uh, let me transfer you to my supervisor"
I realize folks have to work for a living and not everyone can be the CEO of Microsoft. But I hope I'm never so hard up for a job that I have to knowingly lie to people.
