I got this number at 253-372-1442 for a couple times in this month of April as they don't leave any message but I did call it back with nothing, so I would like this to call me bck any more on my cell line as how did they get it the first thing.

I second this information. I dialed 911 last night and hung up because the 911 operator on the phone next to me wanted to talk to me on that phone. They called back twice from this Kent, WA number. Glad to have this verified!

I got a call from this number but wasn't around to answer.  They only called once and didn't leave a message.  I live near Kent, and had my car stolen earlier this morning so that would make sense... but why wouldn't they leave a message?

This is a legit call- 253-372-1442 is a blocked return, meaning if you are not at home and someone tried to call for some reason(like your stolen vehicle has been recovered) you don't call back and waste 911's time. They identify themselves as a number of police agencies because they serve a very large area, 27 agencies total; they will identify themselves as the police agency for the area the call originated from. If you get a call there is NO doubt that your phone called 911.

They don't randomly call criminals and child molestors because for some reason that section of the phone book doesn't exist.

This is a legitimate call from a 911-Center - Valley Communications in Kent , WA ---- The number that shows on caller ID obviously can't be 911, there are many 911 centers-- Weirdly they chose a number that can't be called back for caller ID though, maybe so people don't redial and waste our time. Believe it or not we don't just conjure up imaginary numbers to call, and the way the system works it would be nearly impossible for a call receiver to misdial on the callback. If you get a call from this number, you called and hung up somehow. The call takers are REQUIRED to call back and ascertain if there is an emergency. Turning off your phone is a very mature way to deal with the real duty you caused by accidentally dialing.

They called me a couple of days ago but I missed the call cuz I was in class......  That is crazy they are saying they are 911!

I got a call from a person claiming to be from the 911 center and that I called them and hung up. I let them know that the phone was locked and was on my desk in the other room so they perhaps had the wrong number. They insisted I give them my address.  I hung up.  They repeatedly called me back until I turned off my phone.

i forget to say when 911 call us my son answer the phone and they say some body dial 911 and the only person who has the phone @ that time was my son 5 years old who was playing game on my phone, But they say was federal way police deparment no renton? My questions is why they don't check on criminals people or child molestors? lol

I just get a call from 911 saying the my son 5 years old dial 911, but i check my cellphone and i never see a 911 call dial from my cellphone i try to call back the number (253)372-1442 for some reason i can't return the call back the weirde thing is the i just change my number 2 days a go>

Yes, the operators at Valley Communications are sometimes nasty, miserable people.

Just had an officer come to our house about 2 hrs ago and acuse my daughter(10 yrs old) of prank calling 911, and calling the officers retards... well she was in our sights the whole time and was on the phone while so called pranks were being made...what's funny is, the last time we called 911 for something significant we didn't get a call back from this number (253.372.1442), but rather a "Renton City of..." I have never had the valley comm. ctr call. I called 911 to demand an apology, but the officer said it was probably a dying cordless phone battery, a mis-dial, or lines crossing. He also said Renton City Police would never acuse some one the way they did us...just making sure everyone was ok...I just wanted to say, "thanks" for prank-call-vigilance when there's real crime to dealt with...p.s. charge your cordless phones!!!

All phone trunk lines start with 253.372.13xx or 14xx. It is policy to call back all 911 hangup calls to determine if there is an emergency.
