CALL THE POLICE AND FILE A REPORT...Seriously! Are you kidding.

They answer, I'd guess. When I pick up they don't, then it rings to them...my turn I hang up. Too bad I don't have an boat horn can in hand...I WOULD use it.

It IS and unwanted call. A scammer's number...untraceable. I did not fill out ANY credit apps so, it is NOT as you say. Do YOU work for the Scammers?

This number rang through my google account, they would not leave a name, number, just hung up, shows the call originated out of Missouri

No message just hangup.

I just received a phone call from this number and they didn't leave any message. I see it and I search the number asap. Apparently, it's those scam callers.

This is not a scam? Really, You do the follow up on confidential information on loan apps, Confidential material handed down to follow-up representatives is illegal, and already know and reported you to authoritys, with further actions.

This number 255-623-8947 has alot of my daughter's information. ie..birthdate, address...obviously cell number. She filled out an application for online schools. This same guy keeps calling her. He is very obscene. A very bad guy. Is there any way to report him?  He gave the name of Mark Henry.

yeah. they are a loan agent.  but some people never filled out a loan application. ie myself.  shady business.

The number 255 623 8947

The country code 255 is Tanzanian code but usually displays as +255 or 00255

The 623 is not a code of any network that I know in Tanzania, so I  don't think if that call comes from Tanzania.

I got 3 calls from this number today. On the third call, there was music so I waited. The guy said that I filled out a cash advance online. I DID NOT. I told me that I didn't and he said yes I said no. Then he said can I come to your home. I said no You can not come to my home and asked again and I said no. Then he asked if I was married and I said yes. He said , Oh I am looking for single girl. Give me phone numbers of single girls I said no and he kept asking I hung up on him.

it is not a scam, you filled out a loan application online, that is one of the lenders that do the follow up. answer it

Enough with the scams, Laura - cell phone companies make loads of money off those fake plans. See how long your "call blocking" lasts. Many (if not most) marketers, especially SMS spammers, use fake or throw-away phone numbers, so blocks like AT&T's and Verizon's don't work. Oh, this particular scammer is known to use other phone numbers including (592) 672-7369 as well.

I too have recieved calls from this number this morning on my home phone. I answered and said hello twice and no one answered. Will not answer anymore. Is there anyway to block numbers from a home phone?

In one day alone I got a call every hour from this number.  Who are these people?

I have also recvd calls (I don't answer unknown callers). 255 is the countyry code / area code for Tanzania.

I received a call before 8 am this morning on my home from unknown..no message was left (I don't answer unknow) within seconds of not answering that call..my cell phone rang from 225-623-8947 which I didn't recognize..no message was left. I don't know anyone in Tanzania...must be a scam ##

This number keeps popping up along with a few others, some from oklahoma (living in Washington state, theres no reason I would be getting calls like that). No answer on the other line, but they keep calling!

You can block them if you have AT&T for ur cell they have a thing called smart limits it's about $5.00 per month and you can block up to 15 numbers from calling your cell phone it's FABULOUS!!! GREAT FEATURE!

This number keeps calling my wifes cell and is trying to get our bank information to finish a loan from them. I wish there was a way to block them.

I just started recieving calls from this number today out of nowhere, and they have been about 3 every hour for the past 4 hours now. The area code says Tanzania, but I don't know anyone there. I refuse to pick up and it be a scam. No Message was left.

This number has called my house numerous times today. No one is ever on the other end of the line though. We say "Hello" several times and then there is music playing....
