I get calls saying they are from the Alabama State Troopers Office.  On the first call, many years ago, I agreed to make a donation.  Someone actually came to my house to pick it up.  I talked to our sheriff and he said the calls were not from the state troopers and never to give again and to tell them to take me off their calling list.  They have called regularly for years despite being told that.  On one occasion, when I told them what the sheriff had said they said it was because he was a worthless drunk and they had been trying to get rid of him for years--completely untrue.

I tried calling this number back and received a busy signal. I think it is a scam operation.

This number shows up as BLOCKED, and I have our answering machine set up to not accept blocked calls.

These people called us 3 times today.  My husband answered the phone first and he hung up on them after they said they wanted $15 for the Police Officers Association.  The guy called a second time and we didn't answer, he called again and I answered.  He said he needed our address and I told him, sorry, I can't help you then I hung up.  

I had a feeling they were crooks, but never know for sure.  I help my local fire department because I know the fire chief.  I am so fed up with ALL of these types of calls that I have been receiving lately.  My phone is ringing all the time from scammers.  What the heck is going on?  I just wonder if this isn't a network of crime and I'll just bet that some people are falling for these scams and sending them money.

Call and act as if they are on 1st name basis with you or as if you are personal friend. The person they are looking for is not at this number.

We get calls from this number and another number in Alabama regularly, but we never answer.  From the other complaints about this number, we can tell these are scammers.  If you are on the national Do Not Call registry, there is a website you can go to and enter a complaint.  If there are enough complaints about a specific number, they will investigate and shut them down.

Probably another one of those Firefighter Associations wanting a donation.  I have been told the Firefighters get very little if any of this money.

Have gotten calls from them for my husband. Usually he's asleep or at work. I ask them for their name and phone number so he can call them back and they hand up on me. Tried to call the number back and it rings endlessly.

This number keeps calling. First they said they needed money for breast cancer. I contribute every year to breast cancer charity and I know these people are not from that charity. The next time this number called they said they were the state police. They were very rude and argued with  me when I chose not to contribute. I was about to tell them I know they are not a valid charity and they hung up. They need to be stopped please. Thanks!

I just blocked the number. they callewd twice today, Jan 29, 2011. One time I did not answer, next time I wanted to know who in the heck was calling. No one said a word after the 'hello'.
Whoever or whatever they are at teh other end, I know for sure they are just crooks. May they burn in hell for their sins!

This number continues to show up on caller ID. I get no answer when I call back.

These people have called me non-stop for MONTHS!  And to make matters worse, they called me at 6:25am this morning!!!!!  How rude!

My caller ID device displayed this number identified only by Huntsville, Al  for a call which was received on Sunday, June, 13, 2010 at 4:11 PM.  The caller left no message.

Lady called wanting money for Breast Cancer Awareness. She asked me how I was doing, I told her fine but I would be better if she and others would stop calling me wanting money. She paused while kids in the background were banging pots and pans. Finally she just hung up.

I get calls from this number regularly claiming they are the Alabama State Troopers Office requesting money, I have requested four times for them to remove my name and phone number from their calling list but they continue to call, they are rude and want to argue with you about your donation amount and when they called you last.......

This number called my house twice the day after Thanksgiving.  After I called it back the man who answered the phone wouldn't say his name and told me nobody called me from ther asked my name. He finally said his name was Bob and veary rude about it.

I was not home but it is a some calling trying to get me to donate money to someone and I do not have the money to do that I have told them not to call but they continue.

Get phone calls from this number claiming to be Alabama State Troopers A**. or Alabama Sheriff's A**. wanting donations. I do not believe these are legimate. Reverse phone number look up says it belongs to a G. Keller of Huntsville, Al. Callers are extremely rude.
