This numbers calls me all the time but doesn't mention medical bills but school bills. I don't owe school bills. I am getting fed up this this people.

i got the same call asking about surgery that i didnt have and also said from health dept. He had a thick accent and was difficult to understand. He said there was goverment compentation for these surgeries. When i asked which government he hung up.

This is the 5th time I've received this call from the same 'Indian accented' man. He is confrontational each time and had yet to answer my simple questions. Clearly he is not located in the states and does not know the common laws such as HIPAA. When probbed for information on each call I've had with him, he terminates te call. CHICKEN POOP!

GOT A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER. I DID NOT ANSWER AND NO VOICE MAIL MESSAGE WAS LEFT.

I had to laugh, whom ever called had such a thick accent and was asking for surgeries. I need talk surgeries he kept saying, as though asking for someone of that name.  I ask if he would like to place an order with me and that totally confused him. You could hear in the background this was a boiler room.

Call is coming from Nigeria Africia. World known for its telephone and computer scams do not answer. Tell all.family and friends. I also received 507 area code calls. I dont answer they never leave message. Scam as well. If I dont know the number or expecting call from an unfamiliar area code..I dont answer. they never leave a message. All scams best way to handle those calls. Let it go to voicemail

Why is the government not doing anything about this? I'm on the no call list, why am i still getting these calls?
If they have the number, why aren't they going after these people? They track my calls.

I had calls from the 507 area code as well.

I very rarely answer calls from numbers I don't know, especially if it's an unfamiliar area code. For some reason I answered this one today though, from 263-897-1010. The caller had a very thick accent, which sounded Indian to me. He asked "Is this Paige?" I said yes, and then he told me he had a question for me, and asked me if I had any surgeries "a long time ago". I asked who he was and why he needed to know, and he said he worked for the Georgia State Health. I was doubtful, but I answered that I had received oral surgery before. He didn't understand what that was, but I didn't bother explaining. He said he had another question for me, and all I could understand of that one was him asking about some type of bleeding when I was pregnant...? I told him "I've never been pregnant before." I was frustrated at that point and once again asked him why he wanted this information - was it for a survey, legal issues, government reasons...etc. The reason he responded with was "We are contacting every woman one by one to ask these questions". I asked him what country he was in, and he said he worked for America Health. So I then asked which state. He said "I work for Georgia Health." Soooo I asked him what city that was located in; where was he calling me from? His response? "Ohh, so you no interested?" INTERESTED IN WHAT?!

It was so phony and unclear, and frustrating to be honest. I'm usually very polite and reserved, but I had to be firm with this guy. Ahh I wish I hadn't answered, but hopefully he'll at least stop trying to call. Like a few of the other people who have commented, I've received phone calls from the '507' number as well in the past. I've ignored those, but I really hope they stop too.

Received two calls and they did not leave a message.  I'm glad I didn't answer.  Sounds strange.

Same type of call,  but I was informed about surgeries I had received, none of which had happened.  The caller claimed to be from the State Health Department but could not identify which state and  transferred me to a supervisor.  Both men had very thick accents and were difficult to understand.  I hung up but called back to see what was going on  only to find the.number was no longer in service.

Same number, did not answer.

Got call from "a Dept of Health" stating that my wife had a bladder surgery (she did not). Took about 5 minutes for the guy (thick Indian accent) to come up with WHICH STATE health department he was calling ("says here you live in Delaware?" "Yes, but what State do you call from?" Well, you said you live in Delaware?" "Yes, but where are YOU from?" ). At which point he hang up.
The guy called before from a DIFFERENT phone number (507-124 5698). Which means they are using hacked phone #s.
