@CSR - really? I've been a CSR for 15 years and I've never treated people badly and I'm not a telemarketer.
ANGRYGRAMMA 2012-03-26 21:03:31 Unknown
You moron. Any company that violates FTC telemarketing and no call rules is SHADY and probably just a scam. I NEVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH SUCH COMPANIES AND NO ONE EVER SHOULD. I don't care what they are selling. If I want home security, I will call a REPUTABLE local company, not some shady, probably unlicensed, possibly criminally connected entity.

Look's like someone hit a nerve.
Ha!

I got this call don't own a home, never signed up for anything related to home security and never asked anyone to call me. How's that story working out for you? Your most likely working for this company and trying to get back at the people you annoy all day for being annoyed at you.
Get a respectable job and stop supporting criminals.

I got a call from 1-888-329-6086, 'Home Security Help Desk" selling home alarms.
I've talked to:Wendy, Denise, Ashley and Mike. All were very nice, but thought I was very rude. I commented about their co-workers being so rude by name and they hung up on me. So sad...
Since then I've found they are stationed in Mesa AZ or so they say. They have called from 1-888-329-6086, 1-888-850-6473 and 269-288-1181.
Once I had two f their numbers call me at once so I conferenced their call and let them talk to each other, they didn't like that and called me back very upset.
Ha!

Called little used cell phone ... Mom answered and hung up on telemarketer.
Called back. went to automated answer which said if you wanted on their do not call list press 1
Claimed they would place my number on do not call list within 24 hours.

Wow dude...this is WAY off! Being that this is posted on a public forum, I hope you don't catch a slander charge. This is completely incorrect information. Why do you folks talk to the company placing these calls and actually learn the purpose of the call and the product being offered before jumping to conclusions. Seems like the appropriate measure that should be taken here. Honestly...Wow!

OK. This is one of the worst of the worst. The company that is calling is not selling anything. They're a Michigan telco that rents their equipment and staff to the alarm scammers, etc. So, the jerk you're talking to isn't selling whatever, he's working for the telco.
Here's some information to reach a real person or file a complaint. It's a question of where to strike though. The Michigan company is a subsidiary of a huge chain of corps in about 20 states, called US Xchange, LLC. The CEO is considered a genius for his ability to use telco regs to provide spam calling to scammers. America. Land of fraud. He has three houses, in NY, CT and a vacation place on Marco Island, FL. I don't know if this is his current phone or the person that lived there before, but I know this is the address of his main house. "20 WHITESTONE LANE. ROCHESTER NY 14618 US (585) 244-3024" His wife is named Claire, and his name is Steve Dubnik (48 years old).
The guy that is actually running the Michigan POS (and I don't mean "point of service") is named David J. Easter. He's involved in all kinds of telco misadventures and is the legitimate face of illegitimate telco business. I'm not sure about his home address, but am pretty sure he works out of "1400 US 31 Highway Beulah, MI 49617". The phone there is 231-709-9704. It's not a telco though. His other sideline is people finders and paid genealogy research. That's one of his genealogy businesses, but I think it's the phone he answers. His emails are easterdj@gmail.com, deaster77@hotmail.com.
The calls themselves are coming from 20 Monroe Avenue, NW Suite 450, Grand Rapids, Michigan 49503 and 712 Abbot Rd., East Lansing, MI 48823. The number the callers give a callback number that is used just for that, to redirect irate callers. The call center's real number is 616-988-7100. They go by "Choice One" to hide the fact that they are really US Xchange.
Complicated, but I know this much. Serving Easter a cease and desist notice puts you in a strong legal position. I'm going to call//email him every time I trace a spam call and it's Choice One. But the beast that is driving most that industry is US Xchange and Steve Dubnik

Call was home security sales. Liar. Said they were ADT then backpeddled when called on it. Robot before this (860-899-2714) call claimed "they would be in my area" but sales person had no idea where I was.

Dave...I told you man, there are two ways to do this, easy or hard...you chose hard! I hope you don't go about your everyday doings in the same manner you approached me. You need counseling, or maybe a group hug. I'll call you again today to check up on ya, ok?

These people have underlying issues at hand. Don't take everything at face value.
x 2011-02-02 20:08:29 Unknown
How did they request these calls? It doesn't sound from the posts as if they did.
CSR 2011-02-02 20:03:14 Unknown
These are calls that these idiots have requested, and the purpose of the calls are to help their current living situation. I am having a hard time grasping what the underlying problem is here...?
CSR 2011-02-02 20:01:30 Unknown
...at the same time, I could have hundreds of testimonials from satisfied homeowners who have benefited from our calls and have added the (real, no fake) security systems in their home. Please do research, people on the product at hand before pre-judging it.

Got the same call from these numbers all originating from the same callers Home Security Network
269-288-1181
269-288-1180
339-502-6694
My caller was Jacob, I told him to take me off the list because I have opted out. He tried to keep selling... I told him to open his ears, open his mind, and understand that I want off his list. He said that because I am so rude that he would keep calling me. I called him a jack*** and to stop calling. He hung up then called me 5 more times throughout the day with these numbers and would just hang up when I answered.
CSR 2011-02-01 22:52:26 Unknown
If you get these phone calls, make sure you are actually ON the particular do-not call list that you are referring to. And if you are so sure it's a scam, listen to waht the caller is telling you and make that judgement after that, not before...it dosent' make any sense to assume, agreed?
look out 2011-02-01 22:43:13 Unknown
home security SCAM. criminals. violating do-not-call list is the least of their offenses.
if you get a subhuman on the line, blow loud whistle, hang up. if subhuman calls back, repeat.
CSR 2011-02-01 22:37:32 Unknown
These "robo" calls actually have nothing to do with the call you received from the Home Security Network...what are you people so worked up about...? This is a call about additional security for your HOME and FAMILY!!!
