WE get these calls all hours of the day and night.  Little do they know they are calling an attorney's office!  We have kept a log of how many times these idiots are calling.  They will be hit with a harassment suit!!

Claiming that my computer was infected

This guy with a thick Indian accent called and said he was from Windows and my computer in infected with viruses. I told him he was full of s**t and he acted all offended. I hung up and he CALLED BACK! He said he thought I was "bulls**t". I told him this conversation was over and not to call back. He didn't.

Got a call from 278-567-1205. It was a man with a foreign accent, said he was from "Windows" and that every time I go on the Internet or check my email, my computer is getting infected with a virus. He wanted me to let him "remote in" to my computer to fix the problem. I am not that stupid.

This number called me, with a strong Indian accent, and said there was a problem with my "Windows" [computer]. He kept on with his sales pitch but I interrupted him by asking "How much?! How much do you want?" He then told me to £?#% my mom and called me a $&#^*+|<?¥}\. I laughed, then he gave an angry chuckle then hung up. Jerk.

I have been getting a bunch of these strange calls this week I signed up for free things at a fair from Verizon , Ford , ,and five hour energy.  I wonder if that's how they got my number

After several "hellos" from me.  a pleasant  computerized female voice said "goodbye" and hung up

Received 3 phones calls from this number in the last hour and a half.  Each time when I answered the phone it sounds like someone is there but they are not saying anything.  I just tried to listen and didn't say anything.  I wanted to see if they would say anything but they didn't.  Finally I disconnected the call.  Its so annoying I wish they would stop calling.

I just got the same call saying he was from Windows and I have corrupted files. I heard a woman in the background on another phone saying the same thing. He wanted money to fix my computer and download protected software. It's a scam.

Received a call from 278-567-1205.  Like everyone else - I'm being told he going to "help" me with my computer.  Kept insisting I go to my computer - and refused to tell me why.

I get a telephone call from this number daily since the beginning of March.  I do not answer presuming it is a scam.  I guess it is.

Please, everyone, do yourself and the rest of us a favor and file a formal complain with the FCC.  You can use this link, http://www.fcc.gov/complaints.  I've been filing them every time I get one of these calls.  The man who called me today said that he worked for Windows - first clue that he doesn't actually work there or he might have said, Microsoft.  He then went on to tell me that there was a problem with my Windows and that he needed me to access my computer right away, so I acted like I was concerned and played along.  Then I let him know that I'm actually in IT security and that I'm not stupid enough to fall for his scam.  Needless to say, I lit him up and asked to speak to his supervisor, which shocking he said I couldn't.  

If we all start filing complaints, maybe they will actually get.  

Got a number of calls from this number - most of them hung up before saying anything. One gave me the "computer problem" story and "would I go to my computer" so he could help me solve the "Windows" problem I was supposedly having. Told him I was having  a problem understanding what he was saying and would he put someone on the line who could speak English  without the heavy accent. He told me "that's your problem" or something like that and hung up.

This sorry piece of crap calls me, and when I answer, I get an electronic voice saying Gooddbye. nothing but a scamming punk,

Called, said nothing and hung up.. We've had problems with middle eastern people trying to sell Windows products

Just received a call from 278 567-1205,
They said they were calling about my Windows operating system. I don't use windows.
Becareful it is a scam.

We got several calls too.  They don't seem to care about not calling back. Whistles work wonders when you get a call like this.  That usually gets the message across!

Called at noon. Did not leave a message, just hung up.  GOOD!  I have blocked this #.

 I too got two calles from 278-567-1205 when i answered the secound, there was  a person with an indian accent who said they were from windows support and that they had recieved messages that my computer showed "error" messages.
I told them to take my name off thier list and not call back.

3 calls from these scammers in a week. So, I play along with them making believe that I am doing as they instruct. I waste as much time as I can ... Making them repeat themselves and their instructions. The longer ... The better. Then, as we Get to the end of the call when they want me to download some remote control software, I calmly curse them, their family, mother etc out. I tell them to come here where I live so I can beat the crap out of them. I especially love when the scammer is a woman ... I won't explain more ....

Man with Indian accent called 3 times from this number. Said dirty/rude things on phone. Kept calling back. I took off hook and blocked number.

My number is on the national Do Not Call list so the caller violated the law.  I filed a complaint and suggest you all do likewise -- the more complaints, the more likely the government is to investigate and shut them down.  https://www.donotcall.gov/

If he calls again, I will record the call (I live in a single party state) and tell him I cannot continue unless he gives me his credit card number.

This is certainly a scam and the person calling says he does not have a supervisor. He had a hard time disconnecting the call when he tried to get me his manager. What can be done about calls like this?

He is a hacker that sends out a virus .he then calls you and tells you what to do to remove the virus but there is a charge to do that .then he says it can't be removed and has to send out a computer Tec who will charge you .if you have this virus it can be removed by looking up the name on the internet .DO NOT GIVE ANY MONEY.call is spam

ok so we all know that number is a scam but why can it not be stopped already.

Received a called from this # w/out a message

A guy with thick Indian accent just called about 5 minutes ago and its the second time he calls... the first time I hang up and today he kept on talking and I just keep on asking him "technical department" from where and he hang up.

I received a call and a man w/ a heavy accent called about them tracking my usage on my Windows computer.  Specifically, that someone has been trying to hack.  Ironically, I don't have windows nor was I on my computer.  He hung up.

When I attempted to call back, pre-recorded msge "that my call cannot be completed as dialed, please check # and try again"...NOT!

Reviewing my caller ID confirms they tried twice earlier to contact me.

Very, very frustrating.

The same thing happened to me - the caller, with a heavy Indian accent, identified himself as "Jack" from "Windows," and proceeded to give me a song and dance about how every time I log on my computer, malware is getting installed. I questioned him and said that "Windows" isn't a company, that the company is Microsoft and wanted to know how he knew what was on my computer as I have a firewall. I also queried why neither "Windows" nor Microsoft were on my caller id. After I told him I didn't believe his name was "Jack," either, he hung up.

The first red flag that this was a scamwas  that the caller id showed 'Name not found.' I was tired of getting these calls saying my computer had a problem, so I played along for 15 min. Then we he asked what I saw on the screen. I wasn't even on my pc, but I told him that it was a naked picture of his mother doing 'stuff' with a cow. He promptly hung up. Last time I got this call I asked him how he can sleep at night knowing that he is robbing and cheating people.
