Call from Raymond Smiley about our ad (what ad?) for Narcotics Officer Publication. Very evasive when I asked him questions. Finally told me that SPI stood for Shamrock Publications the caller ID shown number directed me to this page. A Shamrock Publications listing on the web also gave a Houston number, but there was no answer. Apparently these people are selling advertising for a non existent publication

Most likely a SCAM.

"David Gorham" said the owner agreed in April to put an ad in the Narcotics Officer magazine. Then he said he talked with him on June 10 and the owner said he would check with the girl who writes the checks. The owner has not spoken to him. As a matter of fact this caller talked to me the last time he called. I just took the message and hung up. Is this a scam?

This guy called me saying I agreed to donate $275 to the Chief of Police Association and was wondering why I hadn't sent my payment in yet. I never did any such thing. When I asked him to prove to me that I made this promise he hung up.

Apparently this is the same guy that calls from 281-447-3235 as well. He is rude and I will start hanging up on him from now on.
