It's now "Deputy Katie Thomas" from "State Investigation Dept." calling on behalf of the IRS.  She could not provide a court case number.

"Kate Thomas" with very thick Indian/Pakastani accent calling from the business "Federal Courthouse" at 1562 W. Union St., Houston, TX. She had wrong name. Alleges that a warrant has issued and arrest forthcoming if $$ not paid to her. She was surreptitiously recording call and it was monitored as a man came into the call when discussion switched to dildoes in the a$$.

I have gotten the call also I received a call from a lady leaving me a voice message stating she was with the "Attorney's Office". She was foreign also and informed me that I had a warrant. To return her call and have an attorney present. I never been in any trouble so I ignored it and looked the number up and this is what I got. Does anyone know how to block theses number?

August 1, I did receive a second call from 281-670-9369.  A "Katie Thomas" left a second message which I saved in my voice mail. Thomas said she was with the "State Attorney's Office."  I then contacted Verizon Wireless Customer Service and had 281-670-9369 added to my block list.

I also contacted Verizon Wireless Customer Service and reported criminal activity as MCI WORLDCOM COMMUNICATIONS is owned by Verizon Wireless. Verizon Wireless informed me they would send my info to their Fraud Division.

Hopefully the criminals will be brought to justice as 281-670-9369 IS a land line.

I posted for a 212-669-7589 number, and gave a comment for it.  I don't see it posted yet.  I called that number (via a friend's phone) and ir rang and rang.  Somewhere I saw that the number is a scam.  But since no one ever answered, it must not be a business - legitimate or non-legitimate.  I Googled the number and it came up to be the 10006 zip code, which is supposed to be NY,NT that contains the former World Trade Center area.  I think that this caller is somehow linked to the person(s) who took my identity while working for the federal government- as per a Texas law officer.  Too bad no one listened to me when I was working for the gov   no one from ICE or IA ever talked to me.  The FBI was not interested when I went to their bureau office.  According to instantcheckmate.com I have a criminal background....not true.  Could this be the "spokesperson" for the CIA who claimed I was not good enough for the agency?   Indeed, a clear and present danger.  Isaiah 58:6 and Mat 6:14,15    Perhaps some other things too.  don't believe me?  call the DHS CBP in Houston, TX and ask to speak to the LER...mention Fitness for Duty Examinations by DHS CBP and the questions they ask about your sex life. call Mike Ryan @FBCwinfield,MO...  he knows me

About 3:00 PM I went into a Verizon Wireless outlet in Carlsbad, CA and called the lady back. I told her I was with the FBI San Diego Office, Department Of Justice, and informed her that the FBI received complaints that people were being contacted by 281-670-9369 in an attempt to scam them out of money. She said "What number are you calling from?". I replied "I told you Mam, this is the FBI San Diego Office. May I speak with your supervisor please?". She hung up.

I figured fight fire with fire; saying I was with the FBI will hopefully put the stops to the scam asss illegals. :)

How this broad gonna call me and her phone was acting up then she was like she gonna call me right back. She must have been on her cell in a bad area in her house cause it was breaking up. When she called back she sounded like she was in a bathroom. Lol. Little does she know I am an investigator, for a living. Dumb chick. Folks this is a scam. Any time doneone brings suit against you you will be served or it will be mailed certified. No one gonna call you. Tell her u want to fight and to send the police she will get mad and hang up. Plus if this were real u wouldn't get just 1phone call. They would call multiple time to collect this debt like real debt collectors. This chick is funny. I have NO ties to tx.  Smh. Beware! Not to mention I get one of these EVERY WEEK, different number but all Indians smh

Not only are they calling me they are also sending me emails. I have never taken out a payday loan so I know its fraud.

I have been receiving the same type of calls.  I too do not owe any loans.  I asked that they stop harassing me and that I would report them to BBB and sue them for harassment.  They went as far a sending me an email.  When I replied to them they stop calling me and sending me emails.  I hope they stop because they have been calling my cell and work numbers.

I have also received one of these calls. Same circumstances, except this Katie Thomas was silly enough to call,my on the 4th of July when nothing is open.  She also sai that she will be informong the FBi, and is having a warra.t issued. The messages she leaves keep getti.g nastier and more harrassing. Will be talkin. to as many public agencies as I can about these people.

They're scammers, hoping to scare you into paying a bogus debt.  And yes, legally, they can't threaten you in this fashion, plus no one calls to give a heads up if they're going to arrest you!  Plus, it's also illegal to claim you're calling from the DA's office, if they are not.  Next time they call, tell them that you've reported them to the FTC and your state's Attorney General.  Also tell them that you're recording all calls from them to give to the FBI (they won't know you're not recording).  

Again, never pay anyone a dime unless they send you a debt validation letter which proves you owe the debt to them.  Scammers will refuse to send anything, or lie and say they've sent multiple letters - they don't want a paper trail which would get them in trouble.  Read the FDCPA and learn your rights.

I received a threatening call from a Kelly Thompson..She said she was with the district attorneys' office and they had an arrest warrant out for me and to have my attorney call her immediately..I have contacted my local police who have said that no one can just call and threaten you like that..any other info?

These guys are ridiculous! I have been ignoring there calls but now they are calling my work saying they are going to send an officer to arrest me if they don't have me call them. I have been getting several scam calls in the last month and have recorded just about everyone. They are pretty funny. Kathy is the person who keeps calling me from this number though. She has been leaving some pretty dumb threatening voicemails.

I received a call from this number. They left a voicemail saying that I had a warrant for my arrest in Texas. That Texas company filed a lawsuit against me saying I owed them $1200 for a payday loan. The woman Katie Thomas claimed to be an attorney, and that I needed to pay off a $1200 loan. I never have got a payday loan so I figured it was a scam. She said that they were going to send police to my house to arrest me. I asked for the name of the company who was claiming I owed them money. She said the name was First Cash from Texas. I asked her for their information, their address, their phone number, and she refused to give it to me. This must be some sort of scam with scare tactics to try to get people to pay them $1200. Don't give these people money. It's some sort of scam!

this number keeps calling my phone repeatedly asking for my  x roommate Rachel Horton they leave nasty long messages threatening that Katie Thomas the attorney  general from: Texas have a warrant for  Rachels arrest. there was a guy caller threatening the same thing two times last week this has to stop please tell me where I report it. ? I do not know how they got my number and why they're calling me for somebody else they do not believe that I am NOT Rachel Horton. they scream at me and then they leave voicemails very mean voicemail where do we go to report this

They have been calling me nonstop with an overdue loan. some lady with an asian accent katie thomas, left me several messages saying that they have a warrent for my arrest and that I needed to pay them before they settle in court. I asked to speak to their attorney and I got transfered to some indian guy who said he was an attorney with Richard Ross law firm and that his name was Jack Gates,he kept yelling at me to pay them money. I started getting suspicious when the lady gave me an amount to send by voucher and the attorney gave me another, so I started recording our conversation. I called the people I took the loan from and they told me that firstly there are not authorized to call my phone and harass me , secondly they have no attorneys only collectors and that they never take voucher, they take the money out of my account on the set due date. My only regret is that I gave those scammers my credit card number, I close that account anyway as a precaution. Don't let these people intimidated you, all they are after is money.
