"unknown name"  on the caller ID. No message. Must be another newly spoofed number for the card scammers.

Card Member Services called AGAIN today. I constantly receive these calls and am sick of them.  I am on a 'no call list', doesn't this apply to them. This is a SCAM, how do we get rid of these people??????

Received a call from this number today didn't answer 30 minutes later received a call from 616-613-2227  which is the same company they must cycle by area code because at work today 8 people received a similar call.  Funny all of us have even on cell's on the no call list.  It does no good.  Do you want to know why?  Because companies buy your numbers from the no call list.  They also buy your number from your cell company, any credit card company, your internet provider and loan companies.  How do I know I used to work as a PI and guess what the easiest way to trace someone down is?  You buy the lists, then you easily know when someone changes their number.  Easiest way to get a number and an address, unlisted doesn't matter if you buy the list because it shows name, address, and usually neighbors.  Also police departments and government agencies use these too.  Really there is no way to keep people from calling do what we do, we have a home phone we don't answer ever.  I

Called several times. Finally fed up, I listened to the automated message and stayed on until I got a real person. I informed him that my number was registed with the National Do Not Call Registry & asked why was I being called and he hung up without replying.

Hang up the phone when their number comes up on caller ID..I do that and the number of dummies is beginning
to decrease..

These people don't pay any attention to the "Do Not Call" list because they are not legitimate business.  Also, the numbers they call from are not traceable, so the gov't can't find out who they are to finer them.  I get these annoying calls from dozens of numbers.

Repeat calling me daily. Automated message saying can lower my credit card bill. I pressed 1 for agent and was on hold. A guy came on. The line and I asked him what was the name of his company. He said "Card Services". I asked with who. He stated Visa M/C and Discover. I asked him again what is the name of your company that they are supposedly sponsoring. He said "Card Services, we are calling to get you a lower rate or consolidate your credit cards that are over $4000. I told him I am on a National and State Do Not Call List and why are you calling me repeatedly hanging up on me each time. He hung up on me. This needs to stop. This is a huge scam and needs to be uncovered and charged with phone harassment.

They called at 9:45AM.  Rep said they can't remove me from their calling list!

As the massive thread below indicates, this company (and many others) are doing this all the time, even in violation of the national Do Not Call Registry.

Your best bet is to make sure your phone number is in the registry, and if so, file a complaint with the Do Not Call Registry, since they are the ones tasked with handling this and have an easy web-based complaint form (https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2).

Same thing happened to me when I asked why they were calling me when my number is on the Federal "Do Not Call" list. This isn't just annoying, it appears to be illegal. I will be filing a complaint, and I suggest anyone else in this position do the same:

Repeated calls from this number. If try to speak to someone asking to be taken off list, they hang up before I can get the sentence out. Clearly a scam, but very annoying.

Might try changing number to a private number. But that won't stop them long. I am going to get rid of my landline. Least my cell you can decline a call. Government must be getting kickback from these people seeing they "can't" do anything about this, yet they moniter everyones calls.

Just got a call from this number. I let it go to answering machine :) Likes keeping them on the line  then say no. OR can say hang on a second i'm real interested in this be right back. Lay phone down and walk away, they will hang on till they are tired :)

If they are phising for personal info to rip you off or collect on a debt, they could save themselves a ton of time and trouble by hacking the NSA with just a few clicks. Imagine all that data falling into the wrong hands...oh, wait, nevermind, it already is.

I receive calls every day, many times a day from who knows who. I am tired  and I do not know why we cannot do anything about it.

got robocall from 281-966-5793 caller ID said "Unknown Name" on Tuesday 7-30-13 @ 956 AM.

Was on errands but same number as Card Services SCAM call on Tuesday 7-16-13 @ 1506 PM.

Credit card services message said this is my last chance to lower my interest rates on money I owe. Several courtesy message was left. The only thing is it should be at least $3000 I waited to speak to someone. I asked what credit card company were they from they said they service all the credit cards Visa MasterCard and Discovery card. I told them I don't owe any money they hung up without saying a word. If they were the real thing shouldn't they know if I owe money?

Received call at 12:06pm today called id says Unknown name-Recording said this is the final notice we will give you about lowering your credit card interest rates. Please press one to talk to a friendly representative. A guy names Michael came on the phone asked if I was calling about there rates prog I said no please stop calling me he then hung up on me. I called the # back it goes straight to voice male and says the mailbox is full

I tried to opt out, but the man I was talking to hung up on me.

If you had read the previous posts you would have learned the card service scammers are simply drug users trying to cheat the unsuspecting. There would be no reason to speak with them at all.

I've been getting calls for a credit card balance reduction from many numbers around the USA especially this one....they used to call saying "Rachel".....Now the prerecorded message dropped the "Rachel" - but the same crap on the message....I pressed "1" to talk to an operator - she answered....said her name was Leah....then when I nicely told her not to call me anymore - I don't need her services......she cut me off. This sounds so sleazy & rude to me. I am also on the do not call list.......A lot of good that does.

I have already turned this number into the Better Business Bureau and have maked it blocked on my phone.
