i have no money to fix my pc to work right and that is how it is and some have said it was free but is not just to put the softwardon her just to make my pc get real bad

I try to call back as anon to see what happens and it says it doesnt exist. This number can only be reached as dialed.

Called my office. Said they were getting an error message and was trying to get me to type in an email address. As soon as he found out he called a company he hung up. He said he was from Microsoft.

Same issue, Man with a heavy accent called from Windows saying my computer was at risk. I went along with him but ran a google search while he was talking and the Microsoft Website said they never call out to a customer unless a customer places a request to do so. I told him this, he said he was with Windows, not Microsoft. I laughed and hung up.

Got the same call telling me that my computer was causing serious problems to other computers. I asked what computer and what OS Operating System he was talking about..   He almost begged to help me. I am the network administrator for a large company. I told him he was crazy and hung up

I just received a phone call from 278-567-1205 supposedly from Windows and they wanted me to type in EVENTVWR since they were receiving error messages from my computer.  The lady told me her phone number was 608-285-9575.  I told her that I check them out on the internet and she was a scam.  She hung up!

I received a call in May 2013 from these apes. The guy told me he was calling from offiece support desk. It sounded fishy right away. I let him go on a bit and when he informed me I had a virus on my computer I asked him how he could know that. He said "well this is office support desk" in a south asian accent. Yeah right! I told him where to go and hung up. This morning, Nov 27, I got a call with a weird caller ID M1271912260008 plus the number 1 288 9186555. The same thing. When the guy identified himself as from office support desk i told him right away what a piece of **** I thought he was and hung up...A couple of seconds later he called back and called me a son of a ****. I told him off and hung up.....Unbelievable!

Received this call this afternoon. Didn't answer, no message was left on voice mail.

I received same call yesterday morning: "I'm from Microsoft and I call you for your computer..." the phone line was suddenly interrupted! I didn't know what's about... Happy to have found your site... I understand.;..Thanks

we just got a phone call from 288-918-6555 and we did not answer it. we had this call same # this time last year and jut hung up one them. East Indian accent.

Man with foreign accent calls saying he is from Microsoft and wants access to my computer to fix virus. I always tell him he is a scammer and he gets hostile and I hang up.

I also received a call from this number.  Told him that I was an IT Technician, which I am not.  lol.  I think it was the fastest time someone ever hung up on me.

10:20 he called me and ask me if i speak english. I said no and off the phone.

Number shows as L1-288-918-6555, so is not a real number to reverse the call. They don't usually speak. Today, when I said "do not call this number again. Remove this number from your list". I got a reply, from very not- eastern accent (sounded at least North American) "shut up old lady".

Got the www.showmypc.com scam phone call about 1:15 today, the 22nd of November 2013. Very nice girl with a Taiwanese or Philippine accent. Definitely not Indian. I lived in India for 2 years.

She said, "my PC was reporting to Microsoft that my computer had over a 1,000 errors".  All her talk implied she worked for MS.

Anyway, I knew it was a scam and went along. She asked me to type "EVENTVWR" after pressing the Windows key. I did. The computer went to the event viewer and after another click to "Custom Views, and then to "Administrative events". Then she asked if there were any errors. Of course, there were over 7,000.

I said (lied), "I see only one". It says, "faulting application name: Acrobat.exe... etc."

She was a little perplexed, "What about above? Any errors". "No I lied, just the Acrobat.exe error".

She asked me to exit and then asked me to type:  www.showmypc.com.

Ah, I thought, at last. Here comes the "scam" and the gentle, reassuming touch for the money. She asked If I was the owner. I replied, "No, the computer belongs to a friend. He loaded it to me after mine broke about 6-weeks ago".

She hung up.

Oh, crap! I was just having some fun. LOL afterwards.

Waste their time & have some fun :)

A woman named "Jessica" claiming to be "with Microsoft" just called from 288-918-6555 and said she wanted to talk about my computer. I told her I don't have one and she called me a liar and hung up.

i rece. call from this no.and he was asking about my family members. i say who is calling he was telling me some weired langauge in indian prounce.i hang up the phone.

does anyone know how far you can go without then actually getting any inforemation from you?

An individual speaking poor English phoned, claiming to be from MICROSOFT, and that my computer was infested with "major problems" and that she wanted to help me fix it. Caller id said she was calling from 288-918-6555. She called before 8 am, and even called back after I terminated the first call. This is a persistant scammer. The number does not appear to be a legitimate US number.

SORRY FORGOT TO TELL YOU THAT DO IT FROM A PAY PHONE .WHEN YOU WILL HANG UP YOUR MONEY WILL

RETURNED . AND THAT THEY CAN NOT TRACE YOU . HOW IS THAT ?//

MY FEELING IS THAT ALL OF US SHOULD DO THIS WITH THESE GUYS .WE SHOULD RING THIS NUMBER AFTER

THREE RINGS WE SHOULD HANG UP AND KEEP ON DOING . IF THERE IS A RECORDING MACHINE JUST LEAVE

THE RECEIVER DOWN SO THERE IS NO MORE SPACE IN RECORDING MACHINE . I DID THAT IT WORKS . AND I

DID IT IN THE MIDNIGHT WHEN MOSTLY PEOPLE ARE  SLEEPING . TRY IT.

Got a call from the number today, heavy Indian Accent, told me he was from Microsoft and that my computer was downloading a virus. I hung up on him.

Got our first call this morning 8:38am.  Didn't answer however because you don't wake up retired people at that time in the morning.  It appears this India descent person is working his way around the world.  Fortunately my husband was an IT specialist at a big company, so I know we have no problems.

i received this same bullsh*t call, i just tried to mess with them as long as poss....it was fun!

Received 2 calls a minute apart from 288-918-6555. Didn't answer either one cause I don't answer call I don't know who they are from. for some reason didn't feel right so I goggled the #. Glad I did, but would of loved giving him/her a piece of my mind!!

Caller not native English speaker/heavy accent, noisy background, said he was calling from Microsoft. He said my computer had some sort of virus and it would crash completely in 3 hours if did not let him walk me through repairs. I said I would call him back, he was persistent, I hung up.

We never answer numbers we don't recognize. I should have picked up the I would have told him all my computers are Mac's. I'm a geek so I would have yanked his chain then hung up. These people are nothing but scum bags praying on the innocent.
