Jan.29/13@1:19pm. My Rogers Home Phone is set to cut-off auto-dialers - these timeshare scammers have codes embedded to it goes to voicemail and I get partial pre-recorded messages.
Pre-recording with no company or agent name - promises "...Tour. While you are our guest, enjoy free all you can eat meals, unlimited beer, wine, watersports lessons, and entertainment shows. Press 1 to receive $2500 towards an all inclusive vacation - enjoy beaches, theme parks, restaurants, golfing, shopping and relaxation. To decline, press 3."
If its too good to be true.... This is yet another timeshare scam with a spoofed number - such offers are conditional that you stick with the tour, which is all to sell you something. Most of these calls are not from legitimate compnies. DO NOT PRESS any numbers - it just verifies that your phone number is valid, and they'll add your number to their permanent calling list and annoy you for years.
I've had 2 years of calls from these scammers. I now file a complaint with RCMP anti-fraud centre as well as the CRTC Do Not Call Registry; and post here. Help provide the evidence so they can investigate, work with other related governments, and shut these b*****ds down for good!
