OK, I just got the exact same call.  It was riduculous but had me going for a litte bit.  Then, I realized that... I didn't do what they were accusing me of, and I told him I had friends in the PD and that I wanted to speak with them first.  He hung up on me... :P  LOL, right

Yep, me too. Was scary at first, because I actually had made an illegal purchase. And since he knew all the facts surrounding the transaction, it had the ring of authenticity. I ended up having a good laugh though when I asked for his supervisors number so I could call back and verify who he was. He yelled a lot and made various threats and said he didn't have anyone of that rank at his activity. Game over (whew) and I took great pleasure in telling him to F*** off and have a great day before hanging up. I've been thinking about calling him back just to harass him a bit and tell him that I've filed a report with the DEA and ask him if he's been contacted yet. He's probably already thrown away his phone though.

Claimed to be an FBI agent and wanted $2500 or I would be arrested. Did not care if it was false, I would have to prove the FBI was incorrect and that would cost alot more than $2500.00 Said do not contact your local Law Inforcement That would make things worse for me. WTH!!!

GMG,

The so called Agent "Ryan Collier" left me a voice mail last week.  He threatened me with 3 to 5 years in prison.  He said I was involved in an investigation regarding a drug company where I ordered Viagra on-line.  He said the agencies involved were CIA, DEA, FBI and FTC.  That made me a bit suspicious.  He hasn't called back although I did leave my number several times.  He also said that my house would be "raided" in the next 24 to 36 hours.  To date nothing has happened.  I truly believe this is a scam although the number I called said it was the DEA.

got call from this number than they hung up. I called back and got an answering machine call about DEA Office and to leave my name and phone number and case number. I do not have case number, I am not giving them my name or phone number. I did give them the 1-877-792-2873 real DEA extortion phone number to call me back at and I also informed them that I was aware of scam. Then blocked phone number so no more calls from them. The real DEA does not conduct phone investigations-they send either local police or local field district DEA agents to your house to conduct investagtions. They are not going to call and "warn" you about there arrival. As for warrants and or special case numbers - those would be delivered to you either by certified mail or hand delivered by US Marshall service without a warning call. I get these scam DEA calls about once a month since somehow getting on fake pharmacy phone calls about making purchases. When I either hang up on them or ask them for their DEA Registration number within one or two weeks I get these fake DEA phone calls- DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL INFO. or send them money. It is illegal for any DOJ (Department of Justice- which the DEA falls under) to request or impose fine money. Only a judge in a court (given your due process) can impose such fines.

Prank Call
I recieved a call on July 26th, 2011 from this number and a message was left on both my home and cell phones from this "Special Agent Brian Collier" from the DEA.  He left an extensive message on my answering machine about his investigation of some pharmaceutical companies (I couldn't make out any names) and how I was implicated in it. Oh, he had case #'s and all kinds of legalese to try and sound legit.  He made all kind of threats and said he would talk our home, cars, and garnish all of our accounts.  Needless to say I freaked out...   I called my wife at work and she said to alm dowm and we'll talk more when she gets home.
Maine tast force investigation unit department of the DEA drug deversion center  301-825-5012 x-725

Raymore Pharmicuticals Investigation, and said that my name had shown up as requesting pills for the last 3 - 5 years.  He also stated that I must call him back immediatly to discuss my involvement in this matter.  I went and looked on my "Aetna" insurance card and needless to say they do not use that company for their mail order medications.  Now I'm thinking that this is a little wierder .  Needless to say we contacted our personal attourney; He reply'd not to call them back and if they do call us again to just give them his name and number, no other conversation.

I would suggest to all to not return this persons call and to go on with your life. Some how someone very crafty has gotten ahold of a company's phone list and is trying to cause fear and extortion in a number of peoples lifes.  Please don't fall for this! Contact the Authorities and report this as another; Homeland security terrorist activity.  Most major cities have an office that you can call. if possible save the voice mail for and turn it over to them as evidence.

Live well...

He called me today and threatened me, but I told him to speak to my lawyer. He decided he did not want to talk to me anymore. If you get a call from this group ignore it, and report it to your local authority.

Happened to me today.  Visit the DEA homepage and there is a number you can call listed at the bottom of the page to report this scam.  NO DEA AGENT WILL TELL YOU THEY ARE COMING WITH A SEARCH WARRANT TO YOUR HOUSE.  Also, the "sargeant" who called me has the same name of a Veteran DEA agent who committed suicide 2/27/2010.

I just got the same call same name, Special Agent Brian Collier, and I can't believe I fell for this also for as long as I did, I was so upset and now I am mad, I was suppose to send him $1,955.81 Western Union.
But I did not hear a dog bark, but that was funny.  Did you report scam to DEA?  I have that it is a unlisted land line in Rockville or Reston area.

Political Call
I also about a year ago purchased phentermine online so he must got phone numbers from that pharmacy site and this Brian Collier left me a very long message saying I have a warrant for my arrest and search warrant for my home, I called back to tell him come search my home if your for real, I have nothing to hide, I never heard back from him.   I am so glad I looked up this number online and hope he was not able to scam anyone into giving him money.  I believe impersonating a DEA officer is a very big deal and I hope this scum bag gets what he deserves.

Same deal here. "Special Agent Brian Collier" from the DEA.  Left an extensive message on my answering machine about his investigation of pharmaceutical companies and how I was implicated in it. Oh, he had case #'s and all kinds of legalese to try and sound legit. So, I returned his call. He went back and forth from treating me like a criminal then a victim. Using scare tactics, then being understanding. goodcop/bad cop all in one. At one point in the conversation, I heard a dog bark and he put me on hold for a minute then comes back saying, "I've told them to keep those K-9's out of my office." What a laugh. Then he went into his spiel about giving me a second chance and if I would pay a cash fine of $2500 via Western Union I could be left out of the federal investigation. That only he could prevent my incarceration and subpoena and the search of my home.
I just can't believe that I was stupid enough to allow him to string me along that far. Why didn't I know right away? Listening back on the original voice message it is quite obvious that no legitimate law enforcement agency would conduct an investigation like this. So what, I purchased phentermine on-line 5 years ago. I don't think that is as bad as impersonating a federal officer to extort money.
Also, check out the real DEA website. There is an extortion alert on the main page regarding this scam.

Got the same phone call saying he was a DEA agent and when I wouldn't answer his questions he said he'd send agents to my home to interrogate me. I questioned the legality of his calling me to conduct his investigation, to which he replied "this is the way the dea conducts investigations!!" I could barely understand him and there was severe static which he said was a result of the equipment used to record the call. I said, "fine, send agents to my home, I'll give my attorney a call now", and then I hung up. Mucho weirdness!

Same deal here.  This is an ongoing scam - they will "let you off with a fine" of only $1500!!  Then they will likely clean out your account.  I called the f###ers back and ended by letting them know they were being recorded by the US Treasury Dept and they were under investigation for fraudulent schemes based upon collecting money fro the US coffers.  The "Special Deputy in Charge" started screaming that I was dirsespecting a federal deputy, then hollerded, "You're going to JAIL," an then hung up.  It was hysterical.

But what they are trying to do is not funny at all.

Prank Call
This caller left a voice mail claiming to be a sergeant with DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) suggesting I was a "regular" purchaser of drugs online.  He had a severe accent and did leave the number. He had my name and correct gender indicating it's not a typical phishing scam, but it definitely is a scam of some kind!  I do not owe creditors so it is not debt collection investigations.  I do not purchase pharmaceuticals on line so that part reveals themselves as scamming something. I would not recommend returning any calls from 301-825-5012.
