keeps calling but I get classical music.

This is actually a call center to get through to the law firm you have to call 800-745-7303 and get them to remove your name or you will sue for harrassment and that they are responsible for their call centers harrassment since they are doing it on their behalf. that should get them to stop calling. found this out after much yelling. hope it helps y'all.

Receive constant calls from 301-882-9975, even on Sunday. They have been calling everyday for the last two months relentlessly twice a day. What a nuisance! Something needs to be done to stop this !!

Caller said a person had given this number as a call back but wouldnt give me any information.  On last call said was a law firm (Manbrowski ) in Washington, D.C.

This number called and asked for a relative who has never lived with us. Said they would remove us from their calling list...

They keep calling me as well.  Usually at least 1-4 times a day.  They've only left one message and actually sent me a letter about debt collection.  I called them back told them I was going through bankruptcy and I already informed the debtors I was with my lawyers info.  I gave them my lawyer's info as well.  Then they asked me all sorts of personal questions and I asked why they needed it.  They said they needed to update my information in their system.  I told them that would be limited to my address and phone number and not who my bank is or how often I get paid.  They left it at that and I hoped that they would stop calling but they haven't.  I've already informed my lawyer of this and given them the letter they sent me.  Hopefully they'll get them to stop harrassing me.

Caller said they don't work days and needed to verify my personal information encluding socail security number.  A legitamite company would call back in the morning as requested or give me a number to call not tell me they only work nights.

Calling at late hours.  Caller ID shows Mann Bracken???

Have received two calls from this number. I called it back and was told it was some attorney's office. When I asked what they wanted they would not tell me then said they were going to transfer me to someone who could handle the call but could not do so. Then, gave me an 800 number that I did not call. This, with all the other comments listed, should not be taken as a legitimate call.

301 882 9975 call at 9a.m. saturday morning. thank you all for your comments. i know now not to answer.  since it was on my cel phone i saved the number as "unk" and set it up for no ring so i won't hear them when they call again except for an alerting beep afterward.

Someone keeps calling me from this number. They do not leave a message and when I answer no one says anything.

Same thing here. They called me again and again to my cell phone. When I called them back to ask them to stop, they asked me for my name and SSN!! "to look into their records". Of course I didn't give them my SSN. BEWARE! I told them I am on the national "do not call" list only to hear their calculated response: "That is only for marketers". I just filed a complaint with the do not call list, listing my previous conversations with them and the fact that they requested my SSN on the phone.

I get the same calls as stated above asking for a Dustin-with my last name. No relation nor do I know him. I told them this and to quit calling as this was telephonic harrasement and I will report them. All she kept saying was "what number are they calling" and "I said you called me and know what number you called me!"  I even called back and got no live voice and left a message with my name and number to Operator #60... to not call here again and I'm not related not do I know the person. They've found my last name and number listed and assume he's related and he's not! It's probaly not his real name, as I have an unusual-not common last name.  Though there are some with last name that I've heard of and they are no relation.

This number showed up on my caller Id MANN BRACKEN, when I answered the phone they asked for a guy by the name of Mike ???? I told them I didn't know him, they asked me where I could reach him, again I said I don't know him, they told me that they needed to get in touch with him, I told them good luck in finding him and told them to stop calling my house.  Are they just complete morons or what?

This company is called "Mann Bracken" and they are a collection agency for companies like HSBC, Dell and Capital One.  Mostly located in Maryland and Tennessee

I kept my old SPRINT phone and was given a new number for it. I use it only if I have houseguests without phone. The former owner of the number owes everybody money. I get all these harrassing calls from 1 301-882-9975. I don't owe anyone a dime. STOP calling !!!!!

Just search Cease and Desist Letter on goggle and you will find the letter to send to the bloodsucking bastards.

they call me every morning at the same time 8 30 and i dont answer.. they never leave a message. this morning they left a message but it was only creepy sounding elevator music but it was weird.

These people call my cell phone at least 3 times a week.  Now they are calling every morning.  Each time the time is exactly the same.  they call at 3:43 a.m.  Yes I said A.M.  This is rediculous but I can't seem to get it stopped. When the first call came in I answered it and that was all it took.

There are so many ways to deal with people like this.  I do owe some money to Discover Card but about half what they claim it to be so I told them a number of years ago that I would not pay it until they corrected the balance.  I have  not made a payment since then so needless to say my credit is not the best these days.  I have a number of good tradelines but the one bad tradeline from Discover Card has ruined my credit.  

Here is what I did.  When I told Discover Card to go to hell I turned off my home phone and installed Vonage.  You can give Vonage any name you would like as they do not check it.  I have never received a call from Discover Card or a collection agency on the Vonage line.  That really pisses them off.  

You will receive a lot of letters.  The letters alone from these bloodsuckers should be enough to get the US Postal Service out of debt as they mail and mail and mail and mail.  Then they mail some more just to be sure you received it.  

When they could not get in touch with me they began calling my mother who is 82 years old and they would grill her.  She asked several times for the to stop calling but we all know how well that went over.  So stop them from bothering me I called them and gave them my cell number.  I went online at the T-Mobil site and blocked their calls.  The only reason I went this route was that I needed the calls to my mother to stop ASAP.  The same day as I called them I sent a Cease and Desist Letter by registered mail.  

To date my mother has not received a call from them nor have I on Vonage or on the cell after a few calls before the Cease and Desist Letter was received by them.

These people, along with all collection agencies, are blood sucking bastards.  Cease and Desist letters are your best way to handle them.  If you live in Texas or Florida you are in real luck because even with a judgment there is very little they can do except wait around for you to win the lottery.

I would suggest you get a copy of your credit report.  NEVER make a payment on anything that is very old because a payment will restart the seven year clock.  NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER make a payment to a collection agency.  If an account is five years old and you make a payment to ANYONE you have now added five years (from the two which would have been remaining to a new seven years).  

The three major credit reporting agencies will not allow an account or resulting collection accounts to be on their report for  more than seven  years FROM THE DATE OF THE ORIGINAL DELINQUENCY ON THE ORIGINAL ACCOUNT.  A collection agency will lie in ever form and fashion to get payment but NEVER pay them.

I recommend that you get a copy of your credit report and put it in a safe place because when seven  years has passed as I noted above, the original debt and all tradelines from all the bloodsucking collection agencies will be deleted but without this credit report you may well have trouble proving when the original date of delinquency happened.  

Lately, remember no bank, no credit card, and no bloodsucking collection agency is your friend.  They will stab you in the back to take your money even if you do not owe it to them.

NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER pay a collection agency.  BLOCK them and Cease and Desist letter them.  Really the only power they have is to make threats.  In most states that is the only power they have.  What good is their judgment if you can't pay it?  Don't let the bloodsucking bastards intimiate you into making bad decisions.
