Hmmm... I'm in Florida too (352) and just got the call.  They probably work the phone numbers in order.  I don't answer calls from strange area codes.

It's a warranty scam, my number was sold to them by Ford Motor Company.  Thanks Ford, that's the last time I buy a truck from you.

This number called my cell phone number today and have been calling my house number for the past year.  Due to these calls I no longer answer my phone and have warned anyone to leave a message if they require me to call back.  It's annoying that it's come to this.

Called my cell phone and left a voicemail about the car warranty expiring. This probably the fifteenth call from the seventh different number. Most don't leave messages, but the reports all show it's the same scam.

Called approx. 6:55 pm PDT on my cell phone. Same "2nd notice about your car warranty." Female voice. She identified as Marsha, or Marty or something. This is about the 5th call I've gotten from the "car warranty" people. I hung up.

Right before this (6:45?) got a call from 973-942-5275. A similar call, male voice, offering me a "complete set of digital" something. Basically an entertainment center. I hung up.

I've been getting calls from these a**holes for quite some time.  My husband too.  We've been getting these calls since before we married... we still can't find the connection to how the hell these jerks got our number.  My own final conclusion to this, is that they are really just going A to Z on our numbers.... starting at one, and working their way throught all possible phone numbers.  It is an automated system after all.  You don't actually connect to someone until you hit the number to.  Just fyi, even if you press the number to be "removed", it does not remove your number...  It is a complete scam!  No companies you have service with or a car through have sold your information to these idiots.  When you hit the button to be connected to one of them, they don't care what you have to say... they just want your personal info.... just a complete scam.  I'm just wondering how f***ing long it is going to take the government to do something about these morons!!!

QUOTED FROM ABOVE...
"DO NOT mistakenly believe they know who you are before they call you.
DO NOT mistakenly believe they know what cars you own.

They have NO information about you or your cars.

ASK them which car they are calling about.
ASK them to tell you YOUR OWN name and see if they know who you are.  They don't."....

"JUST MESS WITH THEM by giving them a fake Make, Model and Year of any old car and waste their time while you've got them on the line.  Then laugh and hang up.  : )"

The second you question them, they usually hang up on you....  I like the idea of f***ing with them LOL  Waste their stupid time w/ false info LOL

just got a call from them with 302-221-0041 pressed 1 to talk with them got some one and I told them I wanted the service I just want a number I can call you back at because I want to be able to verify your company.  They did not give me any thing they were just like this is a outbound only center, and I was like ok what is the number to the inbound center?  long story short I did not get any thing other then a hang up.  What I noticed from looking at the caller ID (Yes i know it is faked and they are not the only ones doing it)  But all my other inbound caller ID have a "1-" in front of the number.  I am guessing this is because they care faking the caller ID and did not put it in or can't put it in.  So I guess it would be some thing to watch for on all your caller IDs to see if there is a "1-" in the front of the number and you will know if they are faking the caller ID or not.

Yep, looks like they are getting their sales leads from CraigsList. Las Vegas and Florida are big car markets, so I'm sure they're just grabbing our numbers from there. My next post will only allow them to email me, I'll never posting my number again.

I've gotten the same crap concerning the warranty on my car, allegedly. Who knows HOW these scammers get the numbers, do they have people on the inside of the cell phone companies? My car is not a Ford, and my cell service is not Verizon, so whatever is going on is a fairly elaborate operation, I dare say.

These SOBs use multiple source numbers, too, even different area codes, but the recording is the same -- "The warranty on your vehicle is about to expire..." That's about the time I hang up.
