I called the number back after it kept calling me on different occasions and did not even hear a ring except a automated person telling me that the next person will be right with me...some kind of telemarketer selling advertisement...don't pick up!

I recieved a call from this number stating that they were offering me a discount on a upgrade for preimuim channels.  I called directv to verify and there was no documentation on my account.  does anyone know if there was any other calls or communication after they accepted the offer.

THIS IS HERASSMENT.

I have been getting calls from 302-394-9545 for 3 months.  Sometimes 2 or 3 times a day and at least 2 or 3 times a week. I am sick of it.  They have called as late as 10:00PM at night.  I just want these calls to stop.  I answer and you can hear someone on the line but they never say anything.  I have called back and it answers with a recording "hold on someone will be with you shortly" but never pick up the phone.  One time I waited 20 minutes and noone answered or identified themselves.  Please leave me alone.

Called left no message.

Called me today, told him to f*** off.  Hung up.  May use this number to vent at them daily.

People This is not directv, it is a credit card scam, Most of you sound so naïve, read all the posts from the beginning, its not hard to figure out. If you give your credit card number to a stranger over the phone you deserve to be scammed. Again, this is not directv, it is a credit card scam.

Several calls to my cell phone. Unwanted and they will be reported.

Some guy from this number keeps leaving me disturbing voice messages saying. I am your dead father.
Very disturbing and we are reporting this activity to the FTC.

They call me every day and I never answered, just googled the number and saw all the comments about it.. Sure glad I looked it up! Thanks :)

I do believe this is Direct TV, however how do you get them to stop calling, these people (telemarketers) just don't know how to take NO as an answer. I'm already on the DNC list, what a joke that is these days.

This number has called me at least once a day for the last two weeks. They've never left a voicemail and when I've tried calling back, the line is busy. Annoying.

I normally don't answer calls with weird numbers, but I answered this time and the guy said he was from DirecTV and said he was offering all the movie channels for $12.99.  He told me that I needed to keep it for a couple months to avoid any kind of early cancellation penalties.  Told him I was at work and he said thank you and sort of left it that I was going to get the channels.  I told him I didn't want them because I wanted to lower my bill, not add to it.  He said thank you and have a good day.  I thought it was weird because DirecTV has never forced me to take channels.  Definitely FRAUD!

I just received a phone call from this number also. They just would not stop trying to up sell me on my DirecTV service. I guess there is a showtime service upgrade at the moment for $11.01 a month. They asked me about 5 times until they finally told me they would call me another day. I did as someone said above. I saved the number in my phone as "Do not Answer".
I dont think it is directly with DirecTV.  Seems like a secondary company.

Have received several calls from this number on my cell phone.  One was at midnight and they got an earful.  Called again today.  I just blocked it from all our family cell phones.

I get a call every now and again from this number. If it is truly DirectTV, they should not ask for a credit card number. If you have DirectTV, you have an account with them, and any thing, and every thing is put on that account. You do not have to pay up front, with a credit card, for movie channels. They bill you. If someone is asking for a credit card number, ask that the charges be applied to your bill.

I think this is a third-party telemarketing group hired by DirecTV to up-sell existing customers and sell to past customers. I've added it as a contact as "DirecTV Upsell" and I ignore the calls. I got stung by the fine-print terms of an up-sell, so I never upgrade my DirecTV service.

Just got the second or third call from this number, I answer but they disconnect immediately, will not pick up again...this is so annoying should not happen. What should a person do?

Keep getting calls from an unknown source.  When I try to call them back, it picks up but never answers.  Telphone number is 302-394-9545.  Other sites claim this is Direct TV calling but I have never been able to call to get an answer where anyone answers the phone.

I don't know where you people are getting your information but this number IS DIRECT TV. It is their promotional dept. I CALLED the number myself after reading these posts, GAVE them no information AND they TOLD me where I lived and about promotional pricing going on in my town.  
Geez, there is no site that is truly honest in posting anymore.

This is also happening in Arizona.  We got our first call today, they didn't leave a message, so I checked the caller ID and entered the phone number into Goggle and I'm reading all of the posts regarding getting annoying calls.  We've also got an unlisted number and we're on the DNC list.  After reading all of the comments, we'll know what to do.

Why are they still able to use the same number after so many have reported them to the FCC? I don't understand that. I downloaded a blocking number app for my phone and they will be hung up on from now on. I advise you to do the same. The one I downloaded is Mr. Number and it's good.

Has anyone ever got to the bottom of this with documented truth?
