Whelp, I said my first name. Am I hosed? I hung up when they started asking me to answer questions. Anyone find out what the questions are?

I got a call from this number today and almost got suckered into changing my long distance plan. They said they were with Century Link and said they would lower my long distance service and wanted to know if I had 90 seconds to answer some official questions. They even started telling me what answers I should give before the questions started. This sounded a little fishy to me since I just changed my long distance plan a month ago. I just hung up on this guy at this point and looked up the caller id number on the internet. And sure enough many people are reporting it as a scam call.

I recieved a call from 302-538-9798. Caller Id said from a wireless caller. The person said they where from AT&T. They wanted to lower my long distance service. I dont have long distance service with at&t.
He tried to be aggressive I said Im not interested and hung up. I reported the insident to at&t.
I am on the do not call list but I guess that dont matter.

Got a phone call at 8:30 pm from this number. The phone only ringed three times and never left a message.

The caller ID says "Wireless Caller" and will not answer when picked up. When I dial the number, I get a message to dial 888-382-1222 if you want to be placed on the "Do Not Call Registry". Which is what I did. But why should they be calling me and not leaving me a message. And why should they be calling me if they want to offer their "Do Not Call List Registry" information. How ironic.

Scam message never left. Answered call today and they say that they represent at and t but when they were told that we would like to research there offer of lowering the bill the caller hung up on me.

I answered this "wireless caller number" and they asked for a name. Said that person was not here as asked if they would like to leave a message - being polite. They hung up. It is this sort of phone games that makes one want to return to "answering service" days.
