It's a scam they find your bad debt usually from Credit Card Companies and have someone call you claiming to be a locator who says he has a summons and that you could be served and arrested. This is your cue that the phone call is a gag because debt is a civil matter were you to receive a summons for a criminal complaint that would come from the police not some 2 bit hack claiming to be a locator. He then will give you a reference number to call and work out an arrangement to pay your debt DON'T fall for this as you will be giving money to scam artists and your debt will still show as unpaid on your credit report. Ignore these calls these people are scam artists trying to take advantage of you.

Is there any way to know if this is a legitimate company I should make a point to call back or not? The comments thus far are not convincing and I am unsure as how I should proceed. I was just told in the message that I have been caught up in some sort of legal matter and that I should call them back.

it is hard to know lately if these are real or not because i have had fakers call claiming i owe them money and i have no records of owing.

This calls supposedly from a law firm, never says which one, threatening and asking to speak with my lawyer, i hung up on him, this is definitely lighthouse, LOSERS trying to collect a debt they bought for pennys on the dollar, get real

it's a company called westhill exchange(auto/home insurance) located at 11551 east arapahoe rd ste 150 in centennial colorado 80112

I recevied a call from this firm and thought that it was fake, found out that I got a summons and complaint to appear in court. IF THEY CALL YOU TAKE IT SERIOUSLY !!! I WISHED I WOULD HAVE
