I received a phone call from Bernett Research and upon answering the phone, the man on the other end asked to speak to the man if the household.  I said that I would prefer to be taken off of the call list.  I was informed that they would have to be told that by a man.  I requested to speak to a manager.  The manager again told me that to be taken off of the call list they would have to be told by the man of the household and then proceeded to ask where he is.  I asked them to tell me the name they have the phone number listed under and they told me my very feminine name. The manager said there is no way to verify that the name listed belongs to a woman, therefore they can not take the number off of the call list without speaking to the man of the household. Due to this, I am now emailing the President of Bernett Research with the caller's and manager's names and explaining the conversation.  I think it is invasive for them to call and ask where the man of the household is.  The man of my household passed away  overseas 16 months ago, so my word is all they get.  God save the next one who calls.

I received a call tonight from this # and thought I would google it and I'm so glad I did.  I will definitely answer next time If I am home knowing they are only market research.  Telemarketing NO, Market Research I'm cool with knowing from experience that it really serves a purpose in most cases.  By the way I don't think the do no call list applies to legitimate research companies, just FYI.

I recieved a call and the person stated that he was from Microsoft. Asked if i signed up for windows live, told him i didnt remember. He told me i signed up for an account and the info sounded like it was fictitious. He then sounded a little flustered and hung up. Could be a phishing scam. Be careful.

My wife was suckered into trying to "help" this marketing group. They asked her if she would allow them to send her a magazine to read and then give her opinion about it for some sort of consumer research.  These people are pitbulls, they now call us over 6xs a day and even called once at 9:35pm. I asked them to stop calling and even went to their website to remove my number from their dialer - ALL TO NO AVAIL.  What really cracks me up is that even while i was typing this they called me again.

Dont do business with this company or help them in any way shape or form unless you want to invite a vampire into your home.

I've just submitted a comment a few seconds ago. But I have one more thing to say, I live in Louisiana and that strange 303 area code call really worried me and had me in a negative state of mind worring about my 2 kids who's living over 1200 miles away from home.

Received 2 calls from this number/person. Didn't answer first call, second call he said he was from Microsoft and got my name from a website. I told him I wasn't interested and hung up.

I'm glad this website exists because I didn't know what it was.  I don't answer unknown calls.  Next time they call I'll answer, even if only to say no thanks.  I have a hunch it's a political survey in my case.

Two calls from this number were on my caller ID today, one at 12:17 p.m. and the other at 4:13 p. m just a few minutes ago. I also am on the do not call list and updated it over a month ago.

I have received 2 calls from this # but no one on the line. I have previously also signed up on the national Do Not Call list. So what exactly does the 'National Do Not Call' list actually accomplish if we are still getting these kinds of calls from Research firms that are not to contact people who have already sign up on the list -and I signed up a bit ago so ? (i.e I take it that Rsch stands for Research?)

Also recieved 2 calls from 303-395-2356 (Bernett Rsch). Have yet to answer, but am quite irritated by it. Does the do-not-call list even serve a purpose these days?

Caller ID said Bernett RSCH. Young man said he was calling on behalf of something like "Eliot Studies"???? a global research firm. He said they are not selling anything. They want me to watch a half hour  video, then asked me if I was between 18 & 65 years of age. I told him I wasn't interested and please do not call again. We'll see.

They called, I didn't recognize the number and didn't answer.  When the maching picked up, they hung up.

I have been getting calls from this number several times a day and I'd think they'd give up since I don't answer it. I never answer unfamiliar numbers, but kind of fun to google them and see who it is. Now that I know, maybe I will answer next time and ask them not to call me. I am on DO NOT CALL List but I also realize that doesn't apply to everything.

maybe everyone should give them a break. everyone in this world has a job to do, so would it kill people to take a little time out of your day to help them out just by briefly giving YOUR opinions. maybe someone actually cares what you think. do you think research people like to get yelled at and hung up on? i bet someone somewhere doesn't like what you do either but everyone has bills to pay..  jeez show a little love

Got about a 10 or 15 calls, have not answer, from what I have read still not going to answer.

Called on cell phone 3 times - never left a message. I tried calling back several times and got a busy signal each time.

And quite frankly, she's right. Somebody out there DOES CARE ABOUT YOUR OPINIONS. There's absolutely no need to become angry or confrontational when they do call you. Why would you want to prove how territorial you are about your phone number, just because you pay for it? They're NOT TELEMARKETERS. NOT TELEMARKETERS NOT TELEMARKETERS NOT TELEMARKETERS NOT TELEMARKETers. That means the DO NOT CALL LIST DOES NOT APPLY TO THEM. They would appreciate your time and POLITENESS.

IMPORTANT:  THE NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST DOES NOT APPLY TO BERNETT RESEARCH.  Bernett Research is not a telemarketing company, they are a "market research company," and they do telephone surveys as opposed to selling things.  The National DNC list only applies to telemarketing companies.

***IF YOU WANT THEM TO STOP CALLING***  Clearly say, "Please put me on your Do Not Call List."  I worked for this company while I was in high school (and couldn't get another job), and we were firmly instructed to place people on our DNC list if they asked us to.

They called me today and asked me to participate in a research project and they would pay me $200.00 and I am going to do it...i checked th website and it seems pretty legit to me!!!

I work for this company, it is a legit research company. We just do phone surveys on various products that people may or may not use. We don't sell anything. Just public opinions, so if you get a call, just please do the surveys your helping working class families earn money.

Happy to have a job with bernett's in these hard economic time. Please help by doing surveys.

Burnett is a legit business. My son works there. They do work for the respected Harris political poll.  In between elections, they do annoying studies for laundry soap etc. If you are on the national do not call list it only applies to people selling anything, THE LAW DOES NOT APPLY TO THESE SURVEY TAKERS. In order to be taken off a survey company list you have to tell each and every company that calls you to "take me off the list" or "put me on your do not call list." Make sure you use the word "LIST" They are obligated by law to do so! If you say "Don't ever call here again" with or without cuss words they will call you again unmercifully until you say something about their "list". Again although picked at random, once they have identified a household they call it repeatedly until you take the survey or refuse with words that they are required by law to obey. But they won't steal from you. OK?

I worked for Bernett Research and honestly, if they call, don't get upset.  The pay literally depends on # of completed interviews.  The caller is required to say what they say, unless they have specific permission to do otherwise, or else they get trouble.  Company is just that way.

When you register with the DNC list listen to the recording. it does not apply to market research companys or non profit organizations.I too work for Bernett research and have for a couple of years. We call you, yes we do. If you don't answer we call back untill we get an answer. Only because we are trying to reach you, and have no way to know if we missed you or you were ignoring the call. We are not the only market research company that does this. there are thousands of them- all legal. If you answer and JUST HANG UP without saying anything you WILL get called back. We have no way of knowing if you hung up or if the call was disconnected somehow. If you DON'T want to do the survey, Listen to the brief intro and tell us you are not interested. We WILL NOT call you back. A lot of the surveys are " Blind ' surveys. Meaning, we do not tell you what it is about, so the survey is not biased in any way. Some of them have a reward, such as the asking above, or even better yet....FREE stuff or CASH! We do not tell you this upfront, because we want your HONEST opinions. We don't want you just to fill in the blanks so you get paid. Your opinion really does count. Market research is a vital part of the U.S. economy. Every company does it to see what their customers want, or what they might be lacking in. If you owned a company, you would have the need to do it too. It is important to get feedback from customers ONLY to provide the best products and services you can. It has been going on for many hundreds of years and will continue for many hundred more. It is one of the most important parts of economy. You probabally like to read consumer reports? Well all that was done through SURVEYS! That is what the information is used for. If you ever read a ratings on a company before you dealt with them, guess what....ANOTHER SURVEY! If you want to reap the information, but not provide any feedback yourself, then just listen to our into to see what it is about and say ' No thanks. ' and we will NOT CALL YOU BACK. But just remember, if you do not like something about a product or a service, you have the power to change it through your opinion. If you do not want to provide your opinion, thats okay too, but don't complain about it later

Maim I am so sorry one of my co workers treated you like that. We are suppose to be perfesionals but like always there is always one bad seed. To everyone else out there if you get a bad person on the phone ask to talk to a Lead person imedietly and have it taken care of

This is a market research company.  They do phone surveys.  No harm in this number.  I enjoyed the call and was able to give them my opinion.
