Good SAM - RV services club. I was a member YEARS ago. Okay like 10. A year ago they gave me a free membership that I never used. Now they are dunning me for renewal money. I get a sticker and a magazine that I will never read, and discounts on an atlas and other places and things I don't used, and I already have AAA RV
so I don't really see the value in sending in money for a membership

They just called and left a message "reminding" me my membership expires next month. I let my membership lapse YEARS ago. I never had roadside or warranty products with them.

Good Sam Emergency Road Services. A+ Rating with BBB. Better than AAA...... You can get roadside assistance, car insurance, (extended warranty if you own an rv). and so on. You don't need to have an rv to purchase there products. Check them out. I used them last week for the first time. My truck wouldn't start so I had it towed to the dealer. (Thankfully only a battery problem) What great service. I highly recommend them.

I agree, they are spammy with the phone calls. I hate that they call and don't leave a message. Actually, I hate that they call. I had their insurance and dropped it and switched to another company. I use the motor club WHEN I am traveling, but if it expires while the RV is parked, I don't renew until I am ready to take a road trip.

Got a missed call - thanks to this website I know it is Good Sam's calling to renew my road service which ends out at the end of the month. Apparently they will not leave you a message. I always label missed calls as spam in my contact list and never answer them.

I get a call from this number every day, sometimes 2. Thank goodness for caller ID, I just don't answer.
Eventually they will give up. Today the phone rang only 6 times, as before 15 to 20. Seems the DO NOT CALL list not woking either.

Got my first call from this number last night at 8PM, another one just a little while ago. Have caller ID, so I do not answer. It is still annoying when you have to run to the phone, especially with a bad back.

Wife called them back and told them to take her off their calling list. They told her it was a reminder that her subscription was about to expire and she explained to them that she knew it was.The next thing I heard was "If you call me one more time I will cancel everything from Good Sam and tell them why".

This is probably Good Sam Road Service and Warranty. I paid $700 for a warranty service policy on my RV a few years back and after about six months I had a problem.
They refused to pay for it under warranty because they said the parts on the RV had been used. Since all parts could be considered used the minute you drive it off the lot, this tells me that this was just another "RIP OFF" program. After contacting the Attorney Generals Office of Colorado I was finally successful in getting a refund for the cost of the policy. WATCH OUT FOR GOOD SAM!

The number is GoodsamRV club for their extended warranty service. If you shopped online for this service, somehow they can get your number and follow up to sell you the service. They are an excellent company and the reviews for the RV warranty have been favorable.

It is the Good Sam Travel/RV Club; NO connection to Sam's Club. I earned a 1-yr free membership with them that expired last year. I wasn't interested in renewing & didn't; but, they have continued to send mailings to me (originally invoices to renew, even though I hadn't indicated I wanted to renew); then, they started calling, but would never leave a msg. I recognized the number from the repeated calls, usually daily, if not more frequent. I finally answered a call today & said I wasn't interested or I would have renewed long before now & they better delete my number from their calling list or I'll report the calls as harrassment.

I received a call from "Good Sam Family" on August 1, 2012. My Caller ID showed the calling number as 303-539-7176. When I answered the call, I was greeted with a dial tone. I called the number back and was greeted with a recorded message saying to press certain numbers to reach certain departments or to stay on the line to wait for a Customer Service Rep to answer the call. I chose to wait to speak with a Rep, and a very polite male person answered my call. I told him that I had just received a call from them and believed they were attempting to contact someone who had my number previously, and asked him if I gave him my number would he please remove it from their call list. The Rep checked the phone number I gave him and said it was in their system as belonging to someone who either was or had been a member of one of their services. The Rep then removed my number from their call system. I don't expect to receive anymore call from the Good Sam Family of services.

Good Sam sales department for towing service. And while I was typing this they called again. The man was in total denile that it might be wrong to do a business call and NOT leave a message. They wanted to make sure I knew that my towing service ran out, and that I should send them more money as soon as possible. Another Corp. doing their thing. Getting money for the few from the many. I have deduced that Good Sam and AAA are only in it for the money. From this day on I will save money by NOT paying roadside service. If it brakes down, I'll have it towed and save my money by not giving it to roadside towing clubs.

Lousy suggestion, and annoyingly pompous. "Don't answer" doesn't help people whose phones CHARGE for incoming calls, whether or not you answer them. Instead of "growing a pair" I suggest that "you" learn to read.

I finally got someone to talk to me from this number, or they left me a message. It's from the Good Sam's Club. They were calling regarding renewing my extended warranty.
| Dee 2011-10-07 22:21:47 Unknown |
When I try to return the phone call I get a message that says, "The number you dialed is unallocated." What?
| GeorgeB 2011-09-17 17:54:08 Unknown |
Just go to your telephone company web site and BLOCK the offending number, so it will not be able to come thru.
But that's nothing permanent, because those Caller ID spoofers use a number for one day or so, then start to use some other number. The numbers they use are abandoned numbers, not yet reassigned by the telephone companies.
From Wikipedia:
Caller ID spoofing is the practice of causing the telephone network to display a number on the recipient's Caller ID display which is not that of the actual originating station. The term is commonly used to describe situations in which the motivation is considered malicious by the speaker or writer. Just as e-mail spoofing can make it appear that a message came from any e-mail address the sender chooses, Caller ID spoofing can make a call appear to have come from any phone number the caller wishes. Because of the high trust people tend to have in the Caller ID system, spoofing can call the system's value into question.
It is amazing that such a crooked practice is allowed to go on!
Where are the feds when I need them????? I wrote to my US Rep...no response!
Bottom line: IGNORE IT and never give the other side ANY information. PERIOD!
