P.S. Call came from Miami, Florida

Today this sports tout referenced my account # with Diamond Sports (BetDSI.com) which shows their connection. Similar calls came last football season. I had just gotten my phone # and DSI was the only business that had it. I called them and told them to stop selling my phone number. He said they don't compromise customer info. When I said that DSI was the only possible company to have the new unlisted number and my name (plus the call was from a sports tout!), they finally changed their tune and admitted the tout did get my information from them, but they would remove my number from the list and stop any and all future callers...
I didn't get any more sports telemarketing calls after that last season. However now that a new football season has started, they obviously sold their customer list again--this time even my account number!!
I would not have even bothered to write this, except I was promised by DSI that I was permanently removed from their list and would never receive a call because of them again.
Obviously this company got my telephone # and account # from DSI originally and perhaps DSI is now selling my info all over again this year!
Any DSI customer who gets unwanted sports tout calls may wish to contact them--Don't let them tell you they don't share customer information, which they probably will say when you talk to them!!!
Once a company buys your info, they sell it to others again!
This company may have gotten your phone number from somewhere else, but if you use DSI, you just figured out what happened!

UPDATE: Apparently last year for the Super Bowl I did set up an account on their site as I was going to bet the game, but decided not to. I logged in and went to cancel my account, but there isn't an option anywhere to do that so I contacted them through their Online Chat. The lady said in order to cancel my account she needed my Password to verify I am me.
Rule number one you learn when setting up an account for anything online is that you never give your password to anyone even if they claim they work for the company. Also any reputable company would never ask you for your Password to begin with. I have my credit card info on the account. You really think I am that dumb to just hand out my password like it is candy so that they or anyone else could go on a shopping spree on my dime? Yeah right. Long story short this bi*** refused to cancel the account so now I need to contact the BBB and perhaps my lawyer in order for them to delete me from their system.

I just got a call from this number too and I could hear people talking in the background, but they never said anything after I answered so I hung up. Coincidentally at the same time I got the call I got the email below. It's kinda funny because they offer me great deals to bet on the Super Bowl which was yesterday. The email stated:

They're likely calling about an unpaid debt. Possibly used a credit card and then stiffed them would be my guess but I don't know for sure.

Caller ID "Unknown", the message said "You have been dropped from this conference call" When I call back the number it says it has been disconnected.

It is from Bookmaker.com call 1-877-321-9466 and when they say they don't make calls tell them to speak to a manager if they have no idea... I spoke with a manager and told him to remove me from their calling list... gave him my number and he told me that in 24 hours i would be off the list..
Caller Is from: bookmaker.com 1-305-459-3512 - gaming site.

Michael you are probably right on track with the poker site scenario. Which site was it if I may ask? I'm getting the same "kicked from conference" message, but I'll answer the next time they call to get more info.
Thanks

Still getting calls, but went back and read all the posts.
It could be that it does involve the computer. I just restored my comp.
Then the calls start again. I didn't answer. I saved the # so I won't answer it anymore.
I will call my cell phone provider, to see if they can help.
Just an idea, check your computer and restore to an earlier time and see if the calls start again.
If we can't stop the calls, we sure can NOT answer it anymore!

Me too with 'you have been kicked from this conference'.

Have several messages from this #, seem to all say 'you have been kicked from this conference'.(305-459-3512)

I got a unknown call, they asked for me by name than a prerecorded voice said something... not sure.
'you've been punked?' maybe? called number back, prerecorded message said number was disconnected. This is my cell phone, not my house phone.

I keep getting calls from this number? How do you fix it!?
Michael 2011-06-28 18:02:53 Unknown
ok.. real strange.. So, I get the call first that says im kicked from the conference..
Then I get another call 3 seconds later.. and the says he is calling from the poker site I used to play on, has my phone number (obviously).. tells me to go to a slightly different site..(internet ending in .ag) has my username etc, balance I had in there.
I would still like to attempt to obtain the money I lost, but I wonder if this is all bigger part of a scam to get into more of your account info.

got a call from this number and all I heard was an automated voice saying "you have been kicked from this conference call" or something like that. Called back and got an out of service message

The number that shows up on caller i.d. doesn't mean anything. There are several services that anyone can use to make any number they want to show up on caller i.d. Spoofcard.com is the biggest.
pat 2011-06-14 16:39:32 Unknown
ok, I just found out that the US government seized the domain name "bookmaker.com". They have a new domain name and I assume it's business as usual. Doesn't change my opinion that it's not them calling. I bet it's a competitor. They call and hang up a few times and get you pissed off, then call and talk to you and tell you that they are from Bookmaker. Do this to several hundred or thousand people and they all start calling Bookmaker and posting bad stuff about Bookmaker on the net. The fact that the number that everyone on here is calling, 1-877-321-9466, is not customer service, it is the number you call to place a bet, supports this theory. If it was them calling they would give the customer service number, 1-866-926-****. Headache for bookmaker transferring hundreds of calls to customer service and pisses off the victim even more because they can't get through. Bookmaker has called me before, after I would go a few months without betting, and Bookmaker.com actually showed up on caller i.d.
Pat 2011-06-14 16:15:34 Unknown
It's not Bookmaker.com making these calls.I have had an account for 3 or 4 years with them. They are one of the most respected and oldest offshore sportsbooks there are. Besides that, I got a call from this number today. I went to Bookmaker.com and it has been seized by the US government. Glad I withdrew all my money a couple months ago! They wouldn't be soliciting US citizens if they can't access their website. Something shady going on, but most definitely not Bookmaker.
