This is a scam/telemarketer.

If you have Charter, pick up the phone and type *60 which takes you to the selective call service.
Press 2 to add this number, wait for the confirmation, then press 6 to end the call.
This blocks the number from calling you in the future.  

This people are scam, threatening people and harassing people. They are selling flight cruises for $300 dollar in 7 days. I'd been in the cruise and I travel a lot I know how it costs. This annoying scam uses different kinds of numbers to contact back. do something about this scam bag people

One way to "block" calls on Android is to add the number to your contacts list with a name such as "Do Not Answer", then use the dropdown to send the call automatically to voice mail. To additionally not get the ring, record a few seconds of no sound, then save it as a ring-tone (call it "Silence", or something like that), and set that as the ring tone for the Do Not Answer contact. You can add as many phone numbers as you like to the one contact, so just keep adding all the crank call numbers.

That way if you add a number for someone you would like to hear from by mistake, they still get the chance to leave you a message, and you have a record of how often they called if you decide to file a complaint. Other ways of blocking them don't leave you any record that they called at all.

This is a new thing so wondering how you got on a cruise so fast?

I took this trip and i was very happy. My husband and i had just gotton married.we didnt have a lot of money but wanted to take a honeymoon. i got a call from a young lady that offered me a free cruise and a 70% off package. we paid $536 for the both of us.went to ft. lauderdale,orlando and took the cruise to bahamas..oh yeah and car for the week. we didnt even have to pay for food. IT WAS GREAT!!!ALL I HAD TO DO WAS SIT IN A ROOM AND LISTEN TO THIS GUY BABBLE ABOUT THESE CONDOS...SO WHAT IT WAS WORTH THE 1,500 I SAVE ON MY VACATION..we just took our Vegas trip and are about to go to Mexico...I CAn't wait...

ps..if i had listened to my friends..i wouldve had such a great honeymoon :)

ITS NOT A SCAM......Im a lawyer and took the chance with the promotion because they are with the BBB and provide u with an Audio Tape Receipt...Its a wonderful promotion with great value....they also gave me a great vacation at 70% off

i actually went through with the survey and accepted my free cruise got and extended stay package and had the most wonderful time of my life

If you can't block the number or forward it to something like a movie time recording, your phone may allow you to id the number as SPAM and assign NO ringtone to it so it doesn't bother you.  I had to do this since I can't block it.

Have anyone of you actually went on a cruise? It's funny u say it's a SCAM but you don't see anyone saying that they went on it and or better yet saying they had fun... If your scared then that is you... When you go the Price is Right and win that car do they tell you about the taxes? When you win that Lotto over 10 million, doesn't the Government take taxes?

I just got off the phone with these guys.  They really wanted that $118!!!!!!!!!!!
OK it starts off as a 30 second survey to win a prize for your time. But later on they dont care anything about the opinion poll you just participated in.  Placebo Poll maybe...?

The whole thing was talked up, in a poorly read script.  Then hey quickly moved to covering the port fee.

I asked if it was refundable, they said it depends on the state.  I live in CA, he said its about 5 days to claim for a refund.
He said that since I am in SoCal and that's a considerable distance to get on this cruise that he would toss in some extra discounts if I decided to extend my stay....
While I was still reluctant he said he would send me an email showing that the company was legitimate...meanwhile I googled their name +scam and +complaint in the search and found enough complaints to make me feel confident that this was A VERY BAD DECISION.
That's when he started hard selling me.  I was reminded of when I went to a timeshare seminar just to get a gift card.....
It took a good 5 more minutes for me to get off the phone.  I had to beat him to the punch and say, "well I guess I am just going to have to miss out"...
Glad my instinct kicked in!

After the whole 45 minute phone call I inspected the email I received, and it lead me to uncover more inconsistencies and questionable behaviors (within the email).

Spoke to Joseph after answering the 3 survey questions. I am a VP of a financial institution and understand these scams so I tried to get what information I could to report.  I made him give me the survey company name and cruise site web address which took much persistance. I explained that I never give credit card info over the phone so he transferred me to his supervisor to better "explain".  This lady was so RUDE!  When I told her I never give credit card info over the phone she said she would be happy to give my "free" cruise to someone else and hung up on me!  LOL,,,,,these people are ridiculous.

Man oh man.  When is everyone gonna learn to NEVER EVER give out ANY info. to ANY voice over a telephone!!!!!??????  Are you kidding????  It's just some anonymous VOICE and you give them your CREDIT CARD number??????   No wonder we all keep getting calls from SCAMMERS!  Because there are so many people who they CAN still SCAM!!  As long as it's successful for them, they will keep on.

Do NOT praticipate in fake SURVEYS, or ANY other call.  If you don't PERSONALLY know the person who is calling you, DON'T tell them ANYTHING!  Nothing.  Just HANG UP.   BLOCK their call, DON'T ANSWER in the first place, whatever, but NEVER EVER actually speak to anyone.

how r they getting our cellphone numbers? i only got my cellphone for emergencies because of a extreme health condition and need to be able to dial 911 when I need to. what happens when these people keep calling using up my minutes and then i will have none when i need to call someone in that emergency. i too have contacted the do not call registry and filed a complaint but the calls keep coming in. when i do answer these calls I am either hung up on or it's dead air. i have a basic phone and it will not allow me to block numbers...what can i do??

Thanks for the post, I was almost thinking of accepting the offer while online I found this link  on a "2012getaway.com" search and decided to hang up. Since the offer was coming not from the cruise line website itself I was very cautious.

You did the RIGHT thing b/c any calls from this number is a scam.  A scam that is offered by Carribean Cruise!  They say they like to get their name out by word of mouth, I'm telling/warning you and all who read this DO NOT TRUST CARRIBEAN CRUISE.  This is not the company that offers hospitality for vacations.  DO NOT CHOICE CARRIBEAN CRUISE FOR YOUR NEXT VACATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today I got a call from a company asking me to participate in a breif survey.  Following the survey of course they offered a free cruise from CARRIBEAN CRUISE. The salesman Brad Kitchen assured me it was not a scam, so I went along with the free cruise to the Bahamas from CARRIBEAN CRUISE.  DON'T YOU BELIEVE IT!  After they took my credit card info. for the so called port charge they went on to offer me an extended cruise for a low price.  When I declined to accept the offer they placed another rep. on the phone who continued to push to make a sale.  When I declined his offer and told him that if he could not get me to the Verification line to verify my trip and give me a confirmation # this Nicholas became rather rude and nasty.  He says" THAT'S FINE I SEE HOW YOU ROLL, IF YOU CAN'T LISTEN TO MY OFFER, I WILL JUST SHRED YOUR INFO..  I WILL SHRED EVERY PIECE OF YOUR INFO."  With this in mind I suggested that he just do that and not to call me again.  Afterwards I went to my bank immediately and had that credit card destroyed and ordered a new one.  Heads Up, DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE BREIF SURVEYS THAT OFFER SOMETHING FOR FREE.  NOTHING IS FREE!!!!! AVOID THIS NUMBER 202-599-8512  Also know that when the recording comes on saying THIS CALL MAY BE RECORDED FOR QUALITY ASSURANCE, don't believe it b/c if the call I was on was recorded the man I spoke with would have been FIRED!

I got a call from them for someone else...tried to hang up and they said I could claim it.

It's a recorded message asking me to complete a survey on the debt crisis.  Here's an answer that will help the crisis: FIRE OBAMA aand ALL the CRONIES in the HOUSE.  They suck, are in it for their own personal gain, NOT for the people.  VOTE CONSERVATIVE even if you're not. That's the only way to start to right the wrongs like Obamacare...what a joke!

At the end of the message there's a selection for opting out, I think it was 2. I pressed the appropriate number to opt out & I've never received another call. Amazed that it actually worked!
