This is one of the masking numbers used by a nationwide collection agency called Checkcare. The California office is located near San Francisco in the 925 area code. When you block their 925 numbers, they call from spoof or tie-in numbers from area codes nearer to where your phone is located. They also use 800 and other toll-free numbers. You can tell they have no valid claim because their recorded messages include the line, "This is a call for" --pause, electronic voice -- "no...name" -- pause, resume first voice --" with regard to check care matter..." and a mechanically reported file number.

This is a collection agency. They are looking for someone who is using my phone number. I have told them the party they are seeking is not someone I know. Despite that, they call me back. I am going to report them to the authorities.

I have received multiple calls from this phone # and I never answer. I decided to call the number back. A very rude woman immediately asked for my phone number and my name which I told her I would not give. I asked three time what company she worked for and on the 3rd time she said CCS. I asked her what the company did and she then told me if I did not give her my name and phone number, she wouldm't talk to me...at that point, the ho hung up on me.

Don't know who this is and there is no company name. They just want me to call his partner Rod and they can help me with this important issue.
