Answered phone, call history shows this number as LOCAL AREA CALL, but not my area code, it was a man asking for "Ann" (who is not me, but my deceased mother's name who never lived here, but he could have just saw that part of my name from a listing somewhere), I asked who's calling and he started a spiel about a policeman's organization.  Told him I was on the Do Not Call list and to take me off his calling list, thank you and hung up on him.  Hope to never hear from them again!

Receiving calls constantly from this number. I do not answer when caller id shows the number but it is extremely annoying and dangerous as I have mobility problems in getting to telephone.

Caller ID comes up as "Local Call Area". I suspect a spoofed caller ID and a call being placed through a VoIP provider. That means it's NOT a legitimate charity.

Asking for donation. I Google it and Its location is from Downtown LA. Many people open Non Profit Org to make big money and avoid Do not call list. Just like those big fat cat in those Labor union top position. They will always say: We fight for your rights and defend for you.

They call constantly, I am on the DO NOT CALL list, but that doesn't deter!  I let ALL unknown numbers go to voicemail,  and they never lea be a message!  What a surprise!

From  Info. Cindy 3/13/2012 gave sounds like a Charity service or telemarketer or third party called from that number... better get FTC,FCC or whatever 3 letter agency you have in mind to DO YOUR BIDDING to create pain in their checkbook asap...

No one is dialing your number; these are robo-calls (computer-generated).  If you change your number, the new number will start getting calls.  The DNC list is useless, because these companies constantly change numbers, meaning there's no way to trace the calls.  I got that info from the Attorney General's office in Washington (state).

All that's going to do is get you added to their "active number" list, which they will sell to other companies.  You will then begin to receive even MORE calls.  Don't answer the phone if you don't recognize the number, plain and simple.

When will these a***ipes learn they'll never speak to me because they will always go straight to my voicemail...I don't talk to these rip offs, scammers, donation beggers etc. Any company that avoids the DNC (which I am on) isn't worthy of speaking to me.

They can call me from a thousand different numbers and not once will they speak too me ?

i received a call from them at 8:15 am this morning and I wasn't happy.  I told them that I couldn't believe you are calling me so early in the morning and the guy said "OH WELL IT'S TIME TO WAKE UP"....i said who the F are you and You need to stop calling me.    these people are bold and obnoxious

What good does it do to report all the annoying, unwanted and harassing calls to do not call.gov. Nothing seems to get done. I'm thinking of changing my phone that I've had since 94. For now I have my phone on Quiet/Mute.

Have been receicving several phone calls from this number, they never leave a message, they also have been calling my cellphone. I am on the DNC list for both home and cell phones. Our home phone states it's a local call, but 310 is not a local area code for our area.

This is a typical boiler room operation mooching funds for an alleged association of robo wanta bes.  If you don't answer no message is left & you can expect additional calls wanting your cash.

They called me in Florida at 2pm EST.  Caller ID says "Local Area Call 310-683-0018."  I didn't answer, machine did.  They didn't leave a message.  I'll never answer, so they'll be wasting their time.

This number has call and wanted money.
 How I handle these women telemarkers. I tell them I'm going to beat the hell out of them and shove my hand up there HMMM and rip there guts out.

They called saying they were with the State police and they represented all state police forces but not local police.  I live in Texas and have no problem helping them but I do not believe there is any org that can cover all the states.  This has to be a scam.

I've been getting calls from this number and after looking it up , it's another number we block. We are on the national DNC list. It does not matter. I can still see if they try calling, even though they are blocked. It shows up on my call ld log as a missed call.The phone does not ring when they call, which is a great feature with Comcast. BTW, it is not a local call for us. It's a California #. We are in NJ!

Received a call on 3/07. Didn't answer and they didn't leave a message. According to other complaints, this is a "police association" located in California. They didn't leave a message.

So they called my house last night and again just seconds after I got done reading the info above.  They claim to be from some Police Assn.  The number is coming out of California but they identify themselves as "Local Call".  Why would I support a police assn. from clear across the country in California when I live in Penna.  We have our own local & state police associations here.  We had calls locally that were only suppose to be for a Christmas show 1 a year.  Then calls started coming 2-3 a times a year and I finally told them enough.

I just told this gentlemen, I've been unemployed for over a year and that I am sick of these calls.  To get my number off their list and don't call here again as I will report them to the  "DO NO CALL" lists I am on.  The fact they are not identifying themselves on the caller ID correctly I believe is a violation of the list.  I am getting an awful a lot of calls claiming to be from one charity or another.  I need charity raising a brother with CP and being out of work for over a year.  It isn't like I am not trying to get a job!

They called at 8:27 on a Saturday morning & woke me up after I'd only been in bed for a couple of hours.  I didn't even give them time to tell me who they were.  By the time I got through hollering, he told me to have a nice day & hung up.  Really??  Call someone at 8:27 on a Saturday morning & then, have the audacity to act surprised when you get hollered at?

Be sure to say:  "This call is being recorded for QUALITY ASSURANCE and may be broadcast on Youtube and other internet and/or national news outlets, un-edited. Be advised your name and company name and the phone # from which you are calling are documented for accuracy and will NOT BE EDITED OUT FOR ANY REASON unless you obtain a court order demanding same prior to broadcast date. Further and repeat broadcasts will ONLY be stopped upon our receipt of a court ordered injunction from the state in which your company is registered. Be sure and document the legal start and stop time of this call as well as any codex I have provided."  And HANG UP!     Trust me, the calls will cease. Just do not let them get a word in. Zey say they are the Charity, so, in fact, they are within their rights to call you, and you cannot stop them other than axing politely that they no longer call you. You cannot sue them nor fine them, and FYI, DNC fine is $16K if in fact it is a third party TM calling on behalf of a charity and you axe them to cut it on out.  Go to the FTC.GOV website for more.

Yup.... these are scammers using some charity name so they by pass the do not call list statues........IF they succeed in scamming you to pledge a donation.......for every dollar..... the charity is lucky to receive $0.20.........AND once you give..... your name get SOLD to another "Charity Fund Raiser" telemarketer.

The only way to stop them from calling you.......is being rude. I use to get between 10 - 15 of these calls a day........'cause my elderly mother was naive enough to be taken by these scumbags..........now I get perhaps 3 calls a week.

These scammers catagorize you as either a "Soft Target" ie. you are WILLING to hear their spiel and give.....

A "Hard Target"........a skeptic that need some convincing.......but will eventually give in.

A "Hostile"..........They avoid these.....'cause its a waste of their time..... and it erodes on their resolve. To be on these list....... you HAVE TO answer their ROBOT call.......WAIT till the scammer got on the phone.........THEN:
