I had a call from a private number and the man left a message to call him back.  He said his name was Richard Scott.  I do not know anyone by that name and I am not calling back either.

I had a call from this number 3108681417, the man wouldn't given his name, but said he was from "CRA".  He gave me a name of the person he was looking for. The last name was my previous married name.  I've been remarried for 12 years.  The first name was not mine or anyone else from my family.  He was rude and would not give me specific information as to why he wanted to get in touch with this person.  I hung up on him.

this is a credit agency and yes they are rude i had the ruddest conversation with someone by the name of michelle

The caller called my cell phone the moment it turned 8:00 am... which should be a red light, because of legal restrictions on times they're allowed to call... He left a shakey voicemail saying:
"Ummm... [my first name] ummm...[my middle initial] ummm... [my last name] ... my name is ... uhhh... Michael uhh... Sharloff ..."
He said he was with the offices of [company name was mumbled/inaudible], and that it was imperative that I or my representative contact him immediately to discuss "some matter".
This same man, "Michael Sharloff" attempted to get my information from a relative (in another state) a few days ago.  Digging around on sites similar to this has led me to conclude that he's from a scavenger debt collection agency, and as I have no current debt... he's apparently trying to collect on a time-barred debt... one that has passed the statute of limitations in my State. They purchase old debts for a tiny fraction of the debt amount hoping you won't know that they have no legal recourse to collect any time-barred debt.  They are not legally restricted from trying to contact you to collect any debt. However... if you do speak to any such agency representative, you can instruct them to stop calling you... they must comply. Even if your debt has not yet reached the statute of limitations for your state,  DO NOT ADMIT THAT YOU OWE THE DEBT, DO NOT AGREE TO PAY THE DEBT, AND DO NOT AGREE TO SEND ANY MONEY TO THEM. If you do any of that, you may, in fact, restart the clock on this debt... which will make you legally obligated.
Arm yourself with information, know your rights, know your State's statute of limitation term limits... and do not allow them to harrass you.  They are hoping you do not have any of this information.

A man by the name Michael Sharloff called my house and cell, from the # 310-868-1417.  He was very rude and was trying to get my banking account #.  He asked to settle for an amount and wanted me to mail him a check, but he still demanded my acct. #. When I refused, he threatened to sue me for not giving it to him. I don't owe anyone I don't already know any money, this has to be a scam.

Got a Call on my Cell Phone with No Message left and a call at home with a message stating there is a discrepency in my address to please call back ASAP to fix it because when they find a discrepency they like to take care of it right away but left a different number to call back which was 1-877-253-4627 tried calling back the 310 number but they want you to reveal your phone number to them which I wont I suspect a scam have no idea who it is beware I say. And it came up as Out of Area I am less than 15 miles from the 310 area? Hmmmmm

A guy named Richard Scott called from this number a couple of days a go looking for my mother.  His message said that it was urgent that he speak with her.  The day before I had received a message from him using a different number (424-644-6654) looking for my mother as well.  He claimed a certified letter he had sent her had been returned.  The address he left in the message was wrong.  I talked to my mother about it and she had no idea who he was.  He never left anything about a company that he worked for.  Sounds a little suspicious.

This caller called again giving off SS# asking personal question in regards to my friend.  Now his story has change this is not a legit business.  He is calling from a landline thru Pac - West Telecomm company.  His name is Richard Scott address is 2601 E Victortia St Spc 135, Compton CA 90220-7113

Caller left message that a certified letter he sent me last week got returned to him. Sounded like he knew me, but I don't know anyone by that name...very few certified letters miss the eyes of their addressee.

Got this call on my cell phone and home phone.  Came in as a Private Call.  Caller left message that I had a certified mail at his office, and he would call me at work.  Acted like he knew me.. but I don't have a work phone.  I am retired.
