This phone number is apparently a Verizon number out of Torrance, CA.  I called Verizon: they said they can't do anything about it, and that I need to have my phone company block the number. -sigh-

I got this call on my cell and on my work phone.  I called back and asked the guy who answered what he wanted.  He told me he had the wrong number.

Tired of calls several times a day from this number and others all stating the SAME RECORDING telling me that there's no problem right now with my credit card but I needed to talk to someone to lower my payments or interest. I have NO credit cards...AT ALL! I pressed one to get them to leave me alone and they are ULTRA SUPER RUDE! I've been called a dumb a** B**** for pressing 1. On one of my later attempts to get off thier list I asked the person, "Do you  mean to tell me you would rather waste your time with people like me that have nothing to do with your services and press 1 to get off your list and there is no way you will identify your "boss" so that we can get OFF these lists, stop wasting YOUR time with people that don't want your services and spend your time with better potential clients?" He told me to F*** off.  Anyone that works for this company, I doubt IF you get the pay you were promised and shame on you for invading peoples privacy and forcing your way into our homes and charging up our cell bills. YOU ARE WORKING FOR A SCAM AND WILL BE HELD EQUALLY ACCOUNTABLE WHEN HE/THEM ARE BROUGHT TO JUSTICE. IGNORANCE DOES NOT EXCUSE YOU FROM BREAKING THE LAW!

Got a call  from this number 12/16 @ 3:59pm.  Didn't leave a message.

Got a call from this # at 11:16 am EDT on 12/16/2010.  My landline stated this was from a 'wireless caller'. No message was left.  When I called the number back I got a recording that said 'The number you have dialed has been changed or disconnected.'  However, a Reverse Phone Number Look-up search revealed this number is a landline phone number, location Torrance, CA in Los Angeles County.  The Phone Carrier is Verizon California, Inc.-Ca.  What's the deal???????

They called me at 10:01 AM on 12/10 so I pressed nine and when I got the guy's voice I wanted to find out why he was calling as I deal only with debit cards and then all i was able to say is "I wanted to find out why you were" Click so I call the number back to hear "Thank you for calling Verizon Wireless"

I"m guessing that they're spoofing the number it's when you want to call someone but have your number appear as the number you want them to see on the caller ID to conceal your true phone number.

Anyone willing to spoof or mask their number like that: to me it reminds me of that saying "There's something rotten in Denmark"

This number keeps calling at least once a day. I don't answer anymore after looking at caller ID
and seeing the unknown caller. I can seee from my phone that it is 310 944-1681. I used to
answer and it was to lower my rates.

Recorded message about lowering interest rates ...  Press 9 for live person...  I pressed 9 to find out who and why they were calling, live person tried to run her spiel on lowering my interest rate on my MC or Visa.  Asked her at least three times who she worked for before she disconnected the call.

I do not answer any calls that do not register on caller ID.  I have been registered on the "Do Not Call" list since it began and re-registered after 5 years.  I also have included my cell phone.  These practices are obviously NOT working.  
Now my cell phone gets unlimited unknown calls which I do NOT answer.  Still the same at my home phone.  I am fed up with this crap.  I too have filed enumerous numbers to the FCC and have never heard one thing back.  
WORD TO THE WISE:
DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE IF YOUR CALLER I.D. DOES NOT TELL YOU WHO IS THERE!!!  HOME AND CELL!!!!  IF THEY DO NOT LEAVE A MESSAGE (AND MOST WILL "NOT") LET IT GO OR REPORT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...Also, I used the *69 to see when these snakes are.  When I dialed the number no one answered and finally I go a message that "the number has been disconnected or removed from service".

This nonsense with telemarketers must stop.  They are the worse members of society and should be punished.

I wish our phone company would offer a service whereby ALL calls who go into a Central Office Voicemail box AND only people who knew a special access code could ring our phones.  This industry is not worthy of existence in our capitalistic system.

These idiots called in the middle of supper and said, "We are Card Member Services" yet would not say what credit card or where they got our number.  We told them to kindly remove our number from their call list forever.  We also told them we are on a DO NOT CALL list.

These morons need to stop this insanity already.  We are thinking about killing our local land line.

Just received such a call from "Rachel at cardholder services". "There is nothing wrong with your card at this time....blah blah". Hung up on the recording.

Got a scam/spam call from this number, which is intended to scare the person who answers the phone into thinking there's something wrong with his/her credit card account, followed by an offer of lower interest rates on a new card. I have tried multiple times to get these scam/spam people to take our number off their call list (we are on the national Do Not Call list, so they shouldn't be calling us anyway), and they just hang up when you make the request. Someone needs to shut this operation down.

Now they're using breast cancer as the hook.  Don't give these b***** ANY info!!!.  Scammers are smart, we have to be smarter.  If you want to make donations, go directly to the source.  Happy Holidays.

I placed a complaint with the do not call list many many times and nothing happens. I have been getting calls on and off from this phone number for  the last 2 years. I just got some guy on the phone when pressing 9 and I said they are a scam and I am on the do not call list and he hung up. He had my husband's name so he must of got it because we have a listed phone number.

Received a call from this number, they want to lower your interest rate on credit cards but they don't say who they represent, when you press them for info they hang up.  SCAM ALERT. They want you to give them a credit card # that they say they'll lower the interest rate on.  Hang up!!!  Tell them nothing!!!  When you dial the # back it's out of service.
