Got a call from this number, guy at first said he was an officer in a voice message. I answered after the 7th call from him, he then stated he was a paralegal. Saying I had 3 outstanding criminal warrants, which I know I don't, because my record was squeaky clean. Then told me to call the same number back, and it would direct me to his supervising attorney. This number is a scam, so if you get a call and the guy (who has a Mid Eastern accent) says his name is Gregory Lee, please contact your local police dept.

they have started calling me again,this time from a different nimber. Now asking for the wife.  I wasn't answering, but  I just tired of it. This time from 358-965-4259. he said he was from "United Lender" and that he was going to be on T.V.  I said I didn't care and I was going to be report him. He said he did have the right number  and asked me my first and last name. I told him he would know it if he had the right number. I ended up hanging up on him.

I was bothered by this guy a year ago while living in California. Now he calls me a year later AT WORK and with the same bogus english name speaking with a very fake hindi accent.

He opens the conversation by asking my actual name, gives the usual legal threats as mentioned by the rest of the complaints here and demands my SSN.

I tell him there is no way he would call from a law office and ask for my SSN because I have worked in a law office for many years and he is full of it and hang up on him. He proceeds to call me back 3 more times in rapid succession and there is a very gleeful tone in his voice while he is talking to me each of the remaining 3 times. I will be sharing this with the police.

They did the same to my husband and now we had to contact the credit beureaus to make sure they don't get into anything else.

Same thing happened to us. I called my local authories and they came and told me it was a scam. they keep calling and calling and calling. finally they called my husband's work.

My boyfriend received several calls from these idiot foreigners -same message, same names used, and all i can say is that these idiots must really think us Americans don't know our rights!  I commend all of you who have taken the time to warn all of us and to try and put a stop to these F$#@#$^  foreigners -  We as Americans must stick together and watch out for one another...

Same message as everyone else...same thick accent..told me I needed to call this number about a case I kept saying there is no case and he would just pause and say UHHHHHHHH. I told him anything they had for me had to be mailed to me. He kept insisting I write a number down and call to talk to Kevin Johnson...the number he gave me to call was the same one he called me from.

These are scum bags,why can't the authorities catch them. Like others reported, I had applied for cash advance on line and no doubt that's where they got my info from One Darrien left me a message this afternoon that eitther me or my lawyer must call them back immediately or I can just deal with what's coming. My number is private,so when I called back each time, the call just cuts off,apparently they do not accept calls from private numbers. Too bad,because now that I have read this post I will answer the next time they call and blast the hell out of them!

I was scammed also but they somehow got my bank account number social etc and have taken $30 some dollars out of my bank account!  Then said all the same things and I went immediately to the bank closed out my account and then to the police!  The first thing the police said I hope these calla are not coming from CA!! Well that's where they show they are coming from!  They even called me and 911 came up as there number!!! So be aware!!!

Worry enough to contact your bank and the three major credit companies to put alerts on your information and accounts, thats what I did.  Then report it to anyone that will listen, I did the FTC and IC3.  I hope it works out, for all of us.

got a call last monday from an indian man stating his name was michael clark (yeah right)!!  said he worked for the law offices of johnny best.  he told me that i had some criminal charges against me and that i need to get a pen and paper and write down something.  i asked what criminal charges are there?  he said that he could not tell me - huh????  I told him that if he is working for Mr. Best then have HIM call and talk to me about this - i couldnt understand a thing he was saying (his english was BAD).  I just hung up on him.  The called back and left a message on my machine threatening me by saying that if i didn't return his call immediately "something bad was going to happen to me" - and that they will come to my place of employment and arrest me.  the thing that has me concerned is that he had my full social security number which he left on my message.  have had several calls from other numbers all week - some say they are from usacashnet...all indian accents.  the first guy that called me on this number called the next day from a different area code and number with a different collection story.  i knew it was him because he mispronounced my name the same both times he called.  i told him to stop harassing me and that i have already reported it to the credit bureau, FTC, and police - he just said F-you and hangs up.  i wasnt going to let that go so i called him back and he obviously didn't have caller ID...he answered "Hello".  I told him that it was me again and that i didnt appreciate him hanging up on me....he cussed again and hung up.  i phoned him 3 more times consecutively and asked him how he liked being harassed!!!  the thing that really irritated me was that at the end of his threatening conversation he left on my voicemail he said "God Bless".....are you kidding me???

I am getting these calls from this number.  Telling me the sherriff department would show up at my work to serve papers and arrest me!!!  Should I worry over this?

I too am having these calls... and they are treating sending the sherrif out with papaers and that they could arrest me!!!  I was so upset untill I google the name and number abd found this site!!!!  now I am wondering if I should worry at all???

HELP!!! A very ill-spoken India man called my number left a message stateing that I must immediately call him back or there would be legal issues against me......WHAT??/!!

A person from this number 310-961-5803 called my cell at 7 am and threatened me about a claim they have against me. Obviously there is no such thing and this is the third time this has happened with three different numbers. How do we get this to stop?

These dumbf#$ks with a thick Indian accent called me at 8:30am today (NY time) stating that I had a case against me and needed to call back.  I hung up and they called me again after which we had some heated argument with me throwing a few profanities in...Can you imagine a better way to ruin a person's day by calling him at 8:30 in the morning with bad news??  I asked them to mail me any sort of case they had against me and serve me with the summons since I know how the system works and will not disclose anything over the phone.  They had nothing to say and said they would do that by sending a Sheriff to come arrest me.  HAHAH  I thought to myself, "Sheriff"??  These fools in India have no idea about American justice...They've based their judgement out of spaghetti Westerns it seems.  "Sheriff"?  HAHA

Anyway, I hung up and asked them never to call me instead just mail me any details and I would do the necessary.  After a few minutes, I googled their # up and this scam board showed up.  Glad to know my hunch was correct!  Thanks

PS: Please refrain from using loan companies online going forward.  They sell your information to every firm that can pay a dollar or two for the rights to your info (your SS, bank account, address and phone...Some even ask for your mother's maiden name).  Next thing you know, someone will be taking a loan or a line of credit out of your name soon.  Be careful and tread lightly with care!

First this guy called my home phone and told my husband he was calling from the Federal Law Firm. Got a message one my cell phone from this number saying it is Mr. Foster (heavy accent).  His message said something bad was going to happen to me and my family.  I called dozens of times, mostly full mailbox, or it would immediate disconnect my call.  One time a woman did answer and I asked what kind of business it is, she said it was "an office."  When I asked what kind of office, she hung up on me.  Have never been able to get through again.

I tried to get a pay day loan and now I've been getting many calls from different numbers leaving weird numbers. One guy told me he was going to come to my work and fu© K me. Then I realized money has been being stolen from my bank accounts and I have to file fraud and now I just got a voice mail from this number from some guy being  very rude saying my attorney had to contact them and if I don't he wishes me luck. Funny that it is the same voice that said they were coming to my job to fu© K me. Don't believe anything that say but watch your account cause they stay by taking a few cents out to see if you notice  before taking more.

These freaky a** people called me threatenting that they were suing me~that I had taken out an online payday loan for $450~i asked if they could prove that there was ever a deposit made to my checking acct. They said I needed to travel to California from South Dakota and go to the courthouse. Dumb a***s couldnt even speak english. I KNEW it had to be a scam! Unfortunately, they have ALL of my personal info>I did close my bank acct  and open a new one

I was told that I someone was going to take legal action against my social security number. He gave me the last 4 digits. He said that I needed to call Kevin Johnson to find out what it was about and the he is surprised that no one had contacted me about it. I called the number back and the mailbox is full.

They have been calling me for days and i keep hanging up on them and they keep getting LIVID and calling me over and over. So i finally told the indian guy to go eff himself and he had the nerve to call me AGAIN and call me a mother f***er!!!!! Man i wish i could find out how to get these guys caught and put out of business

I have received these calls as well. I could barely make out the name but I heard the last name of Jones. It is definitely tied into using Payday loans and they are using calm scare tactics about the matter so far. However, if it comes down to them calling my workplace, then I will contact my lawyer and the authorities.

CLEARLY BEFORE THIS, I OF COURSE YELLED AT HIM AND SAID UNLIKE YOU ***HOLE, IT'S THANKSGIVING IN THE STATES AND MOST COMPANIES AREN'T OPEN! HE CONTINUED TO SWEAR THAT IT WAS STILL GOING TO HAPPEN IF I DIDN'T TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION HIS LEGAL MATTERS OF WHY HE WAS CALLING AND HOW I SHOULD'VE BEEN CONTACTED BY MY ATTORNEY. I TOLD HIM OBVIOUSLY, I DON'T HAVE ONE BECAUSE WHATEVER HE'S CALLING ABOUT IS FALSE INFORMATION. HE THEN NAMED MY COMPANY AND THE LAST 4 DIGITS OF MY SS#. I REPLIED, I THINK IT'S FUNNY YOUR STATING TO BE WHO YOU ARE FROM A 'LEGAL' COMPANY WITH 2 DIFFERENT NUMBERS ON MY CALLER ID IN 2 DIFFERENT STATES! HE REPLIED AND SWORE HE NEVER CALLED BEFORE; AND CONTINUED TO TELL ME THAT I SHOULD CALL THE NUMBER AND SPEAK TO THIS GUY TO GET FURTHER INFORMATION. OH AND AS FAR AS THE BANK ACCOUNT INFORMATION... I got the same thing, calling and telling me that i had money transferred to checking account and that i had 4 charges against me and that if I didn't get it taken care of I was going to go to jail. It was also Cash Advance they said were suing me. They also told me that I would be getting served papers and had to go to the Court house and take care of this or send them money before the day was up.
