This person is still at it. This time the SMS comes from 845-219-5587, which is Newburgh, NY. This is a Google Voice number, BTW, which is super easy to obtain for any location a person wants. Fortunately, I also posted my GV number in the ad, so it's easy for me to block them.
I told them I'd only deal through escrow.com, which they agreed to (which surprised me). Since my state requires DL number or other government issued ID number on the bill of sale, I asked for a photocopy of this person's ID. They did not respond.

SCAM.... I posted on cars.com...received a SMS text...this phone number comes up as a landline in IL so obviously its a spoofed number.......I sent an email...return email ip comes from CA...very poor grammar on email messages...wants to buy car sight unseen..wants you to do the transaction via paypal and open a paypal acct if you dont have one.....SCAM SCAM SCAM....STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS.
