In 2010, Verizon Wireless filed suit against Feature Films for Families after the company allegedly placed nearly 500,000 illegal automated telemarketing calls in ten days to the mobile phones on Verizon's network. The calls were recorded advertisements for the FFFF film The Velveteen Rabbit.[6] In May 2011, the Justice Department, acting for the FTC, filed a complaint[7] in US District Court charging Feature Films for Families, Inc., its owner Forrest S. Baker III, and two other companies owned by Baker with "waging deceptive and illegal telemarketing campaigns pitching movies and soliciting for donations, including calls to more than 16 million phone numbers on the National Do Not Call Registry."[8] The complaint seeks "a court order to permanently bar the defendants from violating the FTC Act and the Telemarketing Sales Rule, as well as civil penalties, and disgorgement of their ill-gotten gains."[8]

Called again This is the 3rd number and when i check it come back to this page all 3 numbers say it's this .9092595509 and 3103627370.and they don't leave a message and so far i have not answered it, because i don't know the numbers.so far 3 times today so far befor it's been 1 a day a different number.

Wow, my calls just started 2 days ago, but I have had 6 of them in 2 days, 2 from the same number. 2 of the callers have asked for "Joan" and when I tell them they have the wrong number, they just say they are sorry and hang up. But, really? This is just too much. This is my CELL PHONE and it costs me minutes and money when they call. I will report them to Verizon to see if I can get this stopped. I am on the DO NOT CALL list, and they need to stop now.

AND...... they strike A-GAIN!!!!!!!!

It's much better file a complaint, these crooks have been sued many times and still think they are above the law. The way to tell them they aren't is to FILE A COMPLAINT -- not call them back!

Believe me, the FTC is well aware of these scum. They are getting desperate to raise money to pay off the fines they've already accumulated, but they're doing it by violating the same laws that got them sued in the first place. Real bright lights huh?

If you don't want to receive the calls simply call back and ask them to stop. I did and it worked great for me, I cant imagine people people would want to call anyone who doesn't want to be called. i mean cm-on people its not that hard.

This company has called every day for about the last week now.  My mother-in-law used to get movies from them and decided that she would rather look online than deal with them over the phone.  So when they call, I get to answer and tell them off.  Today, when they call, I answered with "How many times to I have to tell you No?"  There was silence for a moment and then the guy launched into his usual nonsense, asking for my mother-in-law.  When I tell them she's not available, they ask when a good time is to call.  I tell them never and they tell me they hope they didn't offend.  Problem is, I told one of the guys a couple years ago to put a note on the account that they weren't allowed to call more than once a year.  They've been pretty good up until now.  Guess it's time to remind them.  Or add the word "harassment" to my answers.......

Understand they need to raise money to pay for the civil actions Verizon and others have successfully brought against them. Ironic they do it by continually violating the DNCL and TCPA laws.

BTW this poster has made similar posts on this site today. Nobody shills for free, so they're probably raising money so they can "market" on 800 notes, or just trying to control the damage cause by people who have been victimized by their relentless calling complaining on here.

All in all, I sure wouldn't want to be in their shoes come Judgment Day!

I think they are a great company doing a great thing for us families...the call id said who it was...If you don't answer then yes they will keep calling because they assume you are not home or it was a bad time when calling.  If I am ever not interested they listen and reschedule me for the next quarter or whatever.

I agree - these people are RELENTLESS!  I get calls from all kinds of numbers at all times of the day even 2-3 times a day.  I want to answer my phone with a bull horn!  They should get the hint after days of no answer.  If it is a legit call from a legit company, they should leave a message.

I agree, every day I come home and there is a hang up on my machine, it's them... every... single... day.  They are total stalkers, it's out of control.  Then when I do happen to answer the phone when I'm home I get the (can't tell if it's a real person or a computer) "Please don't hang up... we're sorry if we offended you in any way"... I hang right up.  I can not stand it any more.  I bought one film for my niece and will never buy another one because of their phone calls.  You are 100% correct when you say they are relentless.

They called after we had all gone to bed. "Brian" begged us not to hang up and apologized if he had ever offended us. He never stated who he represented or what the call was regarding, even though I specifically asked what it regarded several times. When I told him it was bedtime, he simply apologized and hung up!

They may sell great movies that are clean fun for all the family but after being repeatedly told to not call they need to stop .. its borderline harassment now ..

I LOVED this company when my kids were young..great films, ok prices...but my children are 19 and 22 and I do not need the films at this point in our lives...we have told them repeatedly...have made cash dontations to be nice...and have told them to stop calling and they have just called 3 times in the last 12 hours.  I'm DONE!

This company is calling me from different numbers and I have told them I do not want to hear from them.  They are annoying.

These people are useless crap, there is no reputable company that would harrass customers like they do,  . I've informed them not to call our number but they continue to call all hours of the day. Now they just hang up when they hear my voice, you can't be rude enough to them. They are up to no good as far as I'm concerned.

These guys call us constantly! I have been very firm with them that I do not want their stuff and not to call again. I have told them three times to put me on their don't call list. They still call.

I have bought films from Feature Films for Families for years!  My kids love their movies and they really do teach good valuable lessons.  Something that is hard to come by these days.  they have a web address, www.familytv.com, its pretty user friendly!

Great company!  They sell clean entertainment movies.  movies you don't have to worry about your kids watching.
