Got the same text on my husbands phone...  "hi Alex u there? haven't heard from u in a while." Decided to Google it cause I wanted to know where the person lived, cause if the number was close to our area i was gonna assume he's cheating on me... lol But I found it is based in Michigan and then I found this posting...

Just received this text from the same number: "hi Jane u there?  Have not heard from u in a while."

I responded with, "'You've reached the wrong person.  Remove this number from your contact list."

It's response: "haha if you wanna know who this is you gotta add me on Yahoo messenger. my name is txtiegirly47

I was curious to see if it was a automatic response and just how far it would go so I responded with:
"No thanks.  I'll just report this number to the authorities instead.  Cheers"

It's response: "hey my cell is about to run out of battery, just talk to me on yahoo ;-)"

I quickly responded with "Seriously?" and never got another reply..
