I called the number back and a recording comes on stating they are a consumer group regarding a subscription I received or will soon receive. Said to leave my name and number to be removed from their calling list but couldnt as their mailbox is full.

Definately annoying, completely a waste of my time.  Frustrating because I am attempting to get a job/bid completed within a specific timeframe and I keep getting interrupted -- I don't mind the interruption if it's a customer or something important, but this cr@p is ridiculous!

Got a call today from this number 314 627 5540 calls itself Autumn Delivery but figured it was a collector of some sort

The entire phone number was (314) 627-5540. And it registered on the caller ID as: "Home Delivery." This is obviously is a "spoofed" number, which means that whoever called you "tricked" the caller ID to display an incorrect phone number.

Telemarketers and others (debt collectors, etc) sometimes do this so you cannot file a complaint against them. Whoever is calling obviously figures that the recipients will pick-up the phone thinking "Oh, boy, a delivery I wasn't expecting!" Missouri is (314) area code - I live in the northeast US, so that rules out a "Home Delivery!"

The best thing to do in any situation like this is to never pick up the phone at all in the first place. Unless I'm actually expecting a call from someone who I already know (like a relative or friend), etc I always have my phone set with the ringer off and the answering machine on; but with the volume turned down.

Nobody answers, don't call nomore

D1 SEG1 keeps calling - no one answers - This is criminal!! Will start action via Verizon.

They call and you answer, then they hang up.  I will not answer anymore 314-637-XXXX numbers since they also used a 314-637-5546.  Really everyone . . . if we don't recognize numbers, we should let it go to voicemail.  There are so many weirdos out there and those who will use voice recognition programs to steal our very breath, let alone our identity.  I am considering just letting the default lady answer my messages and just saying that the caller has reached my number and give the digits.  I don't even want my voice on my voice mail anymore.  These are truly Big Brother times, and we must protect ourselves.

My caller ID also shows D1 SEG1. I simply hung up before letting them waste my time. I'm glad I did.

This company probably handles more than just this but in my case it was someone verifying my contact info for the trade magazine InfoWorld.

Got two calls today on my cell phone. I did not answer and no voicemail was left.

I got a call today 9:49AM and nobody was talking on the phone when I answered.

Received calls from this number and no messages left and/or hangups.  Comes up D1 SEG1 1-314-627-5540 on caller id. Aug 13 at 11:28 am last call.  Don't know who is calling.  Am on Do Not Call Registry

Computer World was on the other end when I just answered

I suspect it may be being used by a company called NCO Financial - I notice that this company calls often and if there is no answer there is very shortly a call from either a  number showing no data or some odd number. When there IS a number and I do a look-up, it's usually from Arizona.

Keeps calling daily. They hang up shortly after I answer. Sometimes I can hear them before they hang up. Tried to leave a message but the mail box is full.

I receive a call from this number at least once a day.

I've gotten calls twice from this # in the past week. I didn't answer either time, since I didn't recognize it. No message was left either time. The second call was at 10 AM today.

They called at 5pm, 8:20 pm, last night 9:05 this morning and again at 1:43 today.  No one answers or is there.  Any one have any answers?
