(315) 285-4182 appears to have been disconnected - maybe the Indian Scammers have moved on..

My 80yr old mother got a call from these losers with the same pitch - you have a virus, go turn on your PC so we can help you... The name was Joseph but the accent was Indian. Since her PC had not been on in 6 months, she ignored them.

got a call from Jordan Smith (more like Khaleed Mohamed) at Microsoft this morning informing me that i have a virus and my computer is in danger. I knew this was a scam but i didnt have anything better to do than screw with a con artist.
i asked how he could prove it wasnt a scam so he gave me a #(315-285-4182)  and i called it, of course Jordan answered and asked that i log into my computer so he could "help me".i told him that i still didnt trust him so he let me talk to his supervisor, "Matt" (also heavy indo/p*** accent). Matt asked why i didnt trust him.
I was pulling up this site while we talked so i said to him, It looks like you guys are scam artists from what the web says. he got very short and terse and told me that if i didnt believe him that i deserve the virus.

Got a call from 315-285-4182.  Said his name is Jordan from Windows.  HEAVY middle eastern (Indian) accent. Told me Windows called to report excessive numer of errors on my computer. Though very leary, I allowed remote access to my computer.  He directed my computer to "Event Viewer" and then went into hysterics with "Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God" over and over about the number of "events" and error messages on my C Drive.  He then told me to try to delete them, but "Delete" of course was not an option.  He inisted that my anti-virus software itself was infected and that my C drive will crash in 2 weeks and then offered to fix everything with a $120 per year subscription for the next five years.  He said that this was a super bargain because the market price was at least $400 per year.   Of course, I did NOT give my credit card number.   I had my local IT person completely check out my computer and have taken numeours other measures to make my computer more secure.  Beware of this kind of call - TOTAL FRAUD!

Received a call from 815-469-9827 (Caller ID:  McDonalds) The individual stated he was from Microsoft Windows and my computer was infected with a virus.  He needed to take control of my computer to remove the virus. Asked for a number I could call him back at (315-285-4182) after I verify the authenticity of the call.  In short, THIS IS A SCAM!
If you call the number back, he will answer this is Thomas from Microsoft.

told me my computer had a virus....that he could help me.  Microsoft doesn't call your home.
