got a call in the middle of the night? It is a shame that there is no authority out there to stop these people.

Received 3 calls from 224-676-7533. They requested owner, by name, each time. Both times I asked who was calling and got a "Mr. so and so's" office. Third call I replied with "The owner is not interested in talking to you and has no idea who you are. Leave your phone number and name and I will have him return your call or else don't call again. I am not stupid; I googled your phone number". They hung up! lol.

Got an email from something called NCS Law regarding a law suir for unpaid bill.Tried to open attachment and nothing came up. I think this isanother pay day loan scam.They used this same phone number.

Finally got a number number that the call went through. I'm new to this office and have had a few calls from a Dave Taylor looking for my boss from SMS. They have told us that they are a collection agency and we have told them that we are a small buisness with no outstanding client debts and don't need their services. Both my mother and myself work here and my grandmom on my mothers side did as well. The owner is a long standing family friend. I googled the man and company today and have seen numerous sites all identical to this one. I've tried calling the multiple numbers listed to see if I could get ahold of anyone to try and waste some of their time in return. The (3150 636-4171 number is the first one to actually work. The woman who answered asked the nature of the call and I asked for Dave Taylor. She asked if it was about an appointment and I replyed that he had been attempting to make one. She asked what kind of buisness we were and I told her engineering. She told me she would foward me to another department and the line went dead... "Dave" better hope to heck he don't call back here again. I love my job, I love my boss, and NO ONE is gonna screw with him or his company...and I'm gonna have fun getting rid of them... I REALLY hope someone actually walks through the door, I'm not sure how quick I'll be able to respond while on the floor laughing but hey I can give it a shot. I'll be looking up these complaints every so often to see any new news on them. I think were getting off easy right now with only calls every couple of days. Let the games begin!

SMS, GPS, ABS, ROI, STA, CBS is actually IPA (International Profit Associates).  They just changed their name to cover up the their bad history.

They call us at least once a day. I have reported to the DNC people and it continues. Now when I see it come up on the caller ID, I answer and get as mean and nasty as I can. I blow a police whistle into the phone, next going to blow an airhorn. Sooner or later I will blow someone's eardrums out.

I got through to the 224 # and told them to remove us from their calling list. I also addressed the lady being so rude to me when they called the office I work for. :)

They call every DAY almost. Trying to set up appointment with owner. Even when I said the day before he's on vacation all month!!!

They are constantly calling our office trying to contact the President of the company.  Trying to sell something I beleive.  Act like the know the President of the company personally.  Scam.  Can't take no for an answer.

I am scheduled to attend a visit in Chicago next week with SMS. I have concerns if this company is nothing by scammers. I canceled my airline tickets once and rescheduled. Is it worth even going?? I was considering going and as the week of training continues I was going to keep this page updated as what we are taught and the games they try. I am curious of how they do references and appts. I am wondering if this is a complete was of time!! Seems it is. Am I wrong?

When I went to add 315-636-4171 to my DO NOT ANSWER OR CALL BACK NUMBER LIST, I also found another number from where SMS has called from ..... 847-917-3617.

Very sarcastic male caller left a message saying he was Chris and wanted to talk to John.  We have numerous Johns within our company (three of which are the owners).  Said not to call back the number being shown on Caller ID (315-636-4171) because we would never get him.  Left a cell phone number to return the call.  Said he was from SMS.  I totally agree with others that these callers have extremely poor telephone skills.
This particular caller sounded like he was either drunk or on drugs!!

Got a call and the man stated he wanted to talk to the owner gave his first name and I knew it wasnt a real call. Told him he wouldnt be in for about a half hour. He called back 5 mins later asking for him again. I told him you just called couple minutes ago and I told you he is not in. Of course I got my bad i didnt know I called. 3 mins before!

Well I want to thank everyone here on letting me know what I'm dealing with, I think I will make an appointment with them to stop by just so I can give them an ear full LOL in person. Also letting them know I will not tolorate them calling and will report them if they do!

Told him I have been in business for 37 years and I am hunkering down in this economy and just riding it out.  Rick got condescending and started belittling my progress and expectations, I THREW HIM OUT!

A few days later, his boss's sec called me and said there were issues and put her boss on the phone.  I wasn't in the mood to raise my blood pressure and cut him off and hung up.

Now that I think about it, I should have taken his call and spelled out the problem with 1st contact and Rick.

His boss's caller ID was 262-299-4057  Add it to your call list.  I think I will send a E-Mail and link this page.

I may be a hick and not a cityslicker like y'all, but I knows a scam when I hears a scam, and this here company is a scam.

Thank God I did a bit more research!  I fell for the recruitment too.  Am supposed to go for training next week.  But the whole thing has smelled a bit fishy, and I looked further.  I won't be going.  Thanks again for the heads up.

That was so much fun!  I think I will do it a few more times today.  They would not let me talk to the owner.  They gave me the same explanations that I give them whenever they call and ask for the owner...can you imagine that?  I was accually surprised that anyone answered the phone.  Thank you for the information.  I'm usually not so devious but they really do deserve some payback.

Multiple Calls...all the same. Phone rings two or three times...person who answers tries to set up some appointment.

Anyone else getting calls from this number?

I actually worked for SMS for not even two weeks. First and foremost I would like to apologize to any and all owners...and let me tell you not only do the "appointment setters" lie about stuff but the recruiters lie their heads off. I was going in thinking this was some kind of follow-up type of job...instead what is this telemarketing. They pissed me off. I felt horrible making those calls all of you who complained talked about...they even told me to say a fake name. Are you kidding me?! Companies like this should be forced out, all the money they have made should be given back to the employees they tricked into working there and to the companies they have companies they have called incessantly.  There are employees who enjoy that job...those have no soul.

I googled this number to find out who has been calling. We've had two phone calls, one hang up and a second without leaving a voice message. I read the complaints to my boss and he is not interested in chatting with these people.

Not two hours later, they called again! I told "Patrick" his number had been googled and the complaints made for interesting reading. His explanation: "Yeah, well, a lot of times we find that our own people put those complaints in about other people working here that they don't like." Priceless.  I should have thanked him for the entertainment, but just told him not to call back...again...ever.

this place has been calling our company for years,  just don't get the message that
1.  I do not believe you KNOW my boss,
2.  I do not believe he is expecting your call.,
3.  My boss is NOT interested in having a meeting with your boss, and
4.  I am NOT going to transfer you to anyone.  Not today, not tomorrow, not ever.  

Where do they get these people who make the calls and lie as they do?  and who are so rude?

SMS called our office and claimed they were calling about an order - basically lied and got the boss' cell phone from me. Called the boss and was told "not interested, please don't call back" then had the stupidity to send in a sales rep who waltzed in and claimed to have appt. with my boss. I gave "Jeff" the full story of how his appt. setter Alex lied and had gotten me in hot water.

Jeff said that has happened before - they must do this all the time I think. What a lousy way to try to sell something! SMS sucks!

Called and asked for the owner.  I asked what it was regarding and she said "Rodger Armstrong" wanted to setup a meeting with him.  I asked her for more information about the company and the meeting and she said, "He should be expecting my call."  My boss had never heard of this person and I told her we weren't interested and to remove our name from her list.  She hung up.

After calling for a business that was not ours for months, they started asking for our owner and would be vague saying, "This is Taylor calling for a meeting and I will call back". Very poor phone skills, no info. Other times they would just call and hang up. Really annoying when you have REAL customers on the other lines trying to get in.

Called twice within 2 hours after I told them our owner does not come to this location and tried to give them an alternative person to talk to. Finally told me they were trying to set up an appointment for their boss and I asked them to put us on the do not call list. They stated they do not have a do not call list and that I shouldn't tell them how to run their business. VERY NASTY! I will be reporting them to the Federal Trade.
