My bf just got the call today. And I tell him that to get life lock to be safe from later accidents. You better do same. My bf will get life lock too because I am making him lol.

This is a complete scam.  This guy with an Indian accent named "George Williams   " LOL funny for an indian guy called my boyfriend telling him he had 3 criminal acts filed against him and that they would be at our house in the morning to serve him with a warrant.  He wanted to verify some information and they did have my bf last 4 of his social then they wanted to verify his address. My bf said Im not disucssing anything further until you tell me what this is about.  The guy said that he wanted my bf attorney to contact him and that they were going to sue his employer lol which he is self employed. WHAT A JOKE.  Then the guy hung up on my bf and then my bf tried to call back and what do you know... they did not answer.  

This is a complete scam.  Do not give these people two seconds of your time.  The moral to this story is, just because they have your address or last 4 of your social does not mean anything.  Typically what happens is you apply for credit or even got a free credit report online through a website.  Well guess what, those companies sell your information to creditors and other shady companies which inturn lands in the hands of these scammers and then you get stupid phone calls like these.  

My best advise being in the credit and debt industry is "DO NOT GIVE YOUR INFORMATION OUT TO ANYONE" do not go online and apply for credit cards unless it is directly through the bank ie. Citi, Discover etc.  Even then if you do go through Citi, Discover etc. make sure you ask them if they are going to sell your information and if they do then i would reconsider getting a card through them.  In addition, I would also contact each credit reporting agency and put a flag on your credit report that they are not to release your information to anyone for credit cards or future pre-qualifications.  I would strongly suggest going to a website called www.optoutprescreen.com.  This is an amazing tool to one help increase your credit score and two it notifies the credit reporting agencies to not send you mailers in the mail and sell your information for credit cards and junk like I explained above.

I received calls from this number, the last caller left a voice mail. The voice mail was extremely difficult to understand and it was unclear exactly where they were calling from. They urged me not to ignore this message as it was time sensitive and if they did not hear from me all he do was wish me good luck, (at least that's what I think he said) The caller's accent sounded like he was from India and very difficult to understand.

Create a contact on your Cell phone with a "silent" ringtone and no vibration.  I call mine "Don't Answer".

Then add this number and any other bill collectors or former boyfriends, ex-wives, stalkers, etc to the list.  You may have to buy a "silent" ringtone - it was couple bucks.  Works great.

I just got the same call and I told them they were a fraud and that they better stop calling that I was recording them and I would turn them over to the FBI and then I hung up.  These people need to get a life.

Caller id'ed himself as Eddie Brown "heavy indian accent" . If you don't wire $1200.00 you will be arrested. Wanted money wired via Wal-Mart Money Pack.

I got a call from this # 5 mins ago!!! They are full of lies & they're looking for money! Its so fake its ridiculous I hope something gets done about this right away I shouldn't have to change my # to be left alone!!!

I received a call from someone who could barely translate to english, He said his name was Jerry moore but he sounded like Muhanda Singh.  He stated that I should not disregard the call or else my attorney would be hearing from them and blah blah blah.  This idiot had also contacted my employer and as everyone knows, this is against the law.  He stated that he was from the criminal justice legal law service but all they are is just debt collectors.  I will call my debt settlement company tomorrow and make sure these idiots are taken care of so they will not harass me anymore.

recieved 3 voicemails from" Steve Smith" that i should call him back the second i got the message or an arrest warrant would be issued against me., called back and talked to "Charles Green" and asked him what this was about. He seemed surprised and said " YOU DONT KNOW?"  He said he would read the charges to me and i asked him if he could do it quickly as i had to get back to work. He got very pissy and informed me that he did not have to read them to me at all
,said i would be arrested tomorrow at 11am at my work and the judge would read them to me,then hung up

The heavily Indian accented man said his name was Steve Smith from the Criminal Justice Law Collectors or something like that.  Said I was being issued an arrest warrant yadda yadda yadda!  I get these calls once every few months.  I wish I could speak their language so I can answer them back in their native language just surprise the heck out of them.....lol

I received a call from this number. I politely told them I knew this was scam, and that I will report them to my local authorities. The guy said "wait until Monday morning". I said.. Ok. Lol... I get these every few months. Not sure why, but it's pissing me off...

I also received a phone call from the New York number 315-675-5169.  Again saying they were three pending lawsuits in regards to illegal activity and that I would be arrested tomorrow if I do not cover the payment immediately.   This is just a bogus call of people trying to extort money out of those of us who foolishly in the past may have applied and took online payday loans and have paid them.  These companies sell your information to these guys.  Its a racket and needs to be stopped.

Got the same phone call at work place. I work for the federal government and they do not know when to stop. Mr. George Williams form justice law firm. I just let it go to voice mail and I am turning it over to my attorney as we speak.

Got a call from 315-675-5169.  Man on phone with heavy accent obviously reading from a script tells me I took a loan online and three arrest warrants will be issued unless I come tomorrow.  I never took an online loan... He knew the last 4 digits of my social security number which worries me.  He would not say when loan was taken.  I have NO idea what this is about but someone needs to stop these people.

I just got a phone call from this number saying I had 3 warrents for my arrest. Stating that if I don't get an attorney by tomorrow morning that I could spend up to 5 years in prison. I called my local sheriffs office and they told me I have noting to worry about that it was a scam. He told me my social and my address and my husbands name.  How can people do that to one another.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

I keep getting these calls from this number.  Blocked it.  Reported it a newsguy here in Atlanta that's great for exposing these guys.
I told the badenglish guy on the phone that I figured he saw my info on some on line file, took it used a loan service deposited it into his account and then immediately defaulted the loan and tried this s***.  I told him to stuff it and never call me again.
He started calling my wife too.

This is a scam!  These people are calling and telling people that they owe a debt and that an arrest warrent has been issued for their arrest if they do not pay this debt right now. Check out the FBI web site, there is a warning posted about this type of scam. They tried this scam on me in october of last year and they just called again today. Don't talk to these people, they are good at sounding legit. Call your state or the US district attorney's office and file a formal complaint. I was told that the FBI are looking for these guys.

I received a call from a Justin Thomas stating he was from the legal system.  I was being sued by  Qiuck Cash Net for a 350.00 loan that wasn't repaid.  With the legal charges it is now a total of 1095.00.  He stated he was going to file a court order on tomorrow morning to have me sued for the out standing balance.   Also there was a warrant out for my arrest.  When I requested some information he was a bit upset.  He told me the money was deposited into an account that isn't mine.   When I told him that wasn't my account.  He informed that the sheriff's department will be at my door on tomorrow to arrest me.  The funny thing was, when I requested the account numer he didn't have one yet.  He said he needed to file the paperwork with the courts in order to get a case number.  His final words were,  I will see you in court in tomorrow and collect the money than.  Ending the conversation with have a blessed day.  Before I could reply he had hung up the phone in my face.

Got the same call today but I felt like having some fun with Mr. "Smith" and told him I had reported him to home land security and had filed an internet fraud complaint against him. Oh yeah, I began by asking him if he was the Pakistani Mafia several times; he just kept saying he was John Smith from Criminal some nonsense but hung up right after the I said fraud...tee heee

Called saying a warrant was being issue for my arrest if I don't give them money. It's a scam. I had my lawyer look into it last month when they tried this s***. I told them I was reporting them to Homeland Security as terrorists and that my lawyer is filing a suit against them for harrassment. He (she on a previous occassion) tried to give me crap over it and get pissy with me. I also said that they had better call back because I have friends in the local police force who are willing to trace the call for me and press charges for impersonating officers. Haven't received any calls back yet.
