Stop these calls by subscribing to grasshopper.com
Yes it costs $ but you can effectively block any call.
Or buy a little box over the internet that attaches to your phone line that will block both anonymous and any call you ask it to.
I hate these guys.

They will block any number for you except for anonymous which can be blocked by most phone companies.

You can do several things:
1. Forward their calls back to them. This seems to discourage them and eventually they will stop.
2. If they switch to anonymous calling your phone provider will block anonymous calls for you.
3. File a police report.
I was recently attacked for almost three days. I'm learning through talking to other people that a competing business was responsible. Think about that and send your competitors an email letting them know that you are on to them.
Good Luck !

PRANK CALLING MY BUSINESS PHONE OVER AND OVER TO THE POINT WHERE I HAD TO BLOCK THE NUMBER THEN THEY CALLED WITH A PRIVATE NUMBER SO I HAD NO OPTION BUT TO BLOCK ALL MY PRIVATE NUMBERS WHICH MEANS MY PATIENTS WHO HAVE PRIVATE NUMBERS CAN'T CALL ME ANYMORE

BTW,
I figured out the only thing to do is to transfer the phone number to a verizon wireless number. They allow you to block a number up to 90 days. AT&T will NOT block phone numbers (they claim they don't have the ability to do so). Idiots all.

Constant calls to a voyage 800 number. I wondered if Vonage wasn't instigating the calls because they get a nickel per call as the number is long distance. I cancelled the 800 number and the calls stopped. I always look for who's making the money and how in these situations. The only one making money blowing up my vonage phone is vonage.

Calls every 5 seconds and ties up my phone. T-mobile says it will take 2 hours to stop. Ridiculous.

I am going through the exact same thing! It is non-stop. How horrible do people need to be to waste time and energy into this type of childish games? If I hear that song one more time I'm going to lose it. I hope it stops soon.

This harassing phone call just started at 4:00p.m.. Everytime I say something after picking up it I hear the Peter Griffin, "Ding! Fries are done." clip. If I say nothing the line is disconnected after about 15 seconds. It has been calling me incessantly and unfortunately since it is out of area, my phone company (AT&T) cannot block the number. I have taken action, but it will supposedly take time for these calls to stop after being traced. The worst part is that this malicious machine is calling my business and rendering me incapable of operating efficiently.
Whoever you are.... God has a special place in hell for you...
Die mother f****r, die mother f****r DIE!!!!!!

when i pushed #1 and inquired as to how my number was obtained, got a dial tone. this has to be a hoax and when trying to call the number only received a busy. I am on the do not call list as many others are. the scammers should vanish from the planet with their unscrupulous acts

This number called me today at 5:08 pm ET. Since it was an Unknown Number per my caller ID and since it's area code is not an area code in my state (New Jersey), I decided to have some "fun" with them as I do with ALL Unknown Callers. Turned the TV on. Raised the volume. Clicked the button on the phone as if I answered it and put the phone in front of loud TV. After a minute or so I simply hung up.
I have no clue who the call was, if it was a machine or a live person, nor do I care. I'm searching for a cow bell or a really loud alarm so that I can hold that up to the phone the next time Unknown Caller from out of state calls.
Sadly the Do Not Call Registry means nothing when these SCAMMERS (skanks) start auto dialing. They can get home numbers and cell phone numbers. I feel sorry for people who are home during the day trying to sleep because they work night shift. I feel bad for new moms who are home on maternity with newborns trying to put them on a sleep and nap schedule. I feel even sorrier for senior citizens, the older ones, who do not know any better and are actually nice when these people call. It's very sad that the phone companies cannot do something about removing these scummers from the face of the earth.

I am repeatedly getting phone calls from this number wanting to reduce my credit interest. Finally, someone talked with me rather than hanging up on me. I was told that the call was from the KAR Company. They refused to take my number off their calling list unless I gave them my credit card information. (BULL S***)
They claimed that my bank gave them my number. This is interesting since I do not have a credit card with anyone.
maybe it was this 2011-09-28 21:26:26 Unknown
Do you often press "some number" to be removed from a list when a scammer calls you? Did you know that this only confirms your number, and that the crooks who call you trade and sell "sucker lists" of confirmed numbers amongst each other.
Now, you say you pressed some number to be removed, and you still wonder how they found you?
Live and learn.
Anthony 2011-09-28 21:04:25 Unknown
You can press 3 when they call to be removed...but I agree with you all. How did I get on this in the first place?

Received automated call, said press 1 if I had $4000 in credit card debt, which I don't. But I pressed 1 anyway to give them hell about calling me when I'm on the Do Not Call Registry. No one answered. I called back and it gives the option to remove from their premier marketing list. Hmm I shouldn't have been on it anyways.

Phishing bot. Calls once a day.
ls 2011-08-25 18:05:33 Telemarketer
Upon answering, I listened to the recorded message completely and recognized it to be one I had requested stop calling previously. The message claims (as it has on previous calls) to be the "final opportunity" to restructure credit card debt. Options to press "1" to speak to a representative or "3" to be removed... since I have found that pressing the automated removal # has on previous occasions not been effective, I pressed "1" to speak to a representative so that I could personally request to be removed from the list (again). The line rang several times and was ultimately answered by another recording stating "mailbox is full, please call at another time." I was unable to reach a live person at all. I recognize this message... these people use several pseudo-numbers to phone.
The city/state and the number change, sometimes the recorded message is slightly different; however, in my experience these calls do lead back to the same call center even if listed in areas across the country... I know this because one day I got the same representative answering from a different caller ID/area code, and when I told him I recognized him from yesterday he remembered speaking to me! We keep requesting to be removed from the list, via the automated menu after the recording, by calling back the number and leaving a message if possible, or by speaking directly to the representative after pressing "1". Nothing works. I consistently file reports with the DNC complaint center.
We have been harrassed by telemarketers for months now, ever since we moved into this area code and unfortunately received this number. We have an unlisted number and are on the Do No Call list, and I repeatedly request to be removed from the list, and I also repeatedly file complaints with the FCC/DNC complaint center. We do not give out our number except to very trusted parties. Since the problem isn't going away, I have found some other solutions. I have discovered the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991 (TCPA). People, it pays to be diligent, keep logs of all the calls and your requests to be removed. Then initiate a phone trace and find out who has actually been calling... in my experience calls from various area codes lead to the same call center because the dialers use pseudo-numbers. Once you know who has been harrassing, you can sue (within the four-year statute of limitations) and they are liable for damages of $500-$1500 PER PHONE CALL. This applies to debt collectors also. Hit them in the wallet, that is apparently the only way to win this battle. Call your phone service provider to find out how to initiate call trace. Here is more info on the TCPA:

The caller is offering lower interest rates on supposedly my existing credit card account. It is a phishing scam trying to get my credit card information. They state no company name.
