Name on caller ID is DHC. It was in reference to the Federal Government and your Mortgage. They want you to refinance. The call has nothing to do with the person but the number that has information that was previous or is current to the number. The Federal government is looking for the morons that has my number before me and they keep using it as their own. Just a good example how the united states government allows a free for all and thay will just blame someone else for any problems. This is the country of opportunity - the opportunity to blame someone else or  the opportunity to not take responsibility for yourself!

I got a number of calls from this number, and the caller ID showed DHS.  Sometimes messages are left, something about the credit card account, and I do not have a credit card.

Another hangup. I use my "Selective Call Forward" feature to send all subsequent calls from these numbers to 888-382-1222. That's the Federal Do Not Call Registry.

These people are "criminals" first it is credit card rates and now I just a call for the diabetic in my home - there is no one here with diabetes - I have filed 7 different complaints with the Do Not Call List and have opted out with these scammers several times ? I actual waited and got a real person once and when I complained he hung up on me ? there are several phone numbers but it is all the same group -these people should be in Prison ?

Crooks and pond scum. The "DHC" suggests it's a fly-by-night Florida company called DHC Financial Services, which may be the caller behind a variety of nuisance calls from several different numbers, all aimed at prying your financial information out of you.  Check out "Hanging Up on Rachel" from DailyFinance in 2009: http://www.dailyfinance.com/2009/11/17/hangin ... -yet-the-phone/

Same story as the rest, company called DHC calling about diabetic supplies.

Now, people, PLEASE stop complaining about the government not doing anything to help. If you check with the Attorney General's office or AG's website in your state, you may find that they DO indeed routinely sue these companies. You must realize just how many of these companies there are and just how difficult it is to bring charges against them. Violating the Do-Not-Call list does not automatically mean that a company will be charged. It takes a lot of man-hours to investigate these companies and, even then, most will not be charged unless there are overt acts of fraud (or any charge that will have teeth).

We got a call from this number with caller ID as DHC  they said they were Diabetic Health Center and inquiring about giving us a free meter for diabetics.  Husband being diabetic gave out all his info, dr name, drs address his medicare number etc.   Even asked for security question to be answered to make it safe password.   I called their customer service number and asked to cancel the request because I felt it was a scam.  They answered and said they would cancel. I got nervous and called medicare and of course the numbers we gave can't be located.  Medicare asked I call customer service back for a written statement saying they cancelled the info.  Of course when I did, I got put on hold which no one has answered since.  All we can do now is keep record of all our expenses through medicare and watch carefully and call them if anything suspicious shows up. Is there anyway to stop these calls from ppl scamming the elderly?

I also got the call, but I didn't mind the call, Why, because I bought a Digitone Call Blocker.  www.digitone.com The first time they call, it rings my phone and the call comes through. I then block the number and the next time they call, my phone doesn't even ring and the blocker hangs up on them. You can even block entire area codes. I have it setup to block any incoming calls with the 855 area code. The blocker keeps track of all calls, good and bad ones. Then I like to check to see who got hung up on just for fun like I am now.

You need to buy one of these, you?ll like it. No monthly fees either

Got a call today (Nov. 5, 2012) from 317-559-5582 at 1:34pm CST; they didn't leave any message,
so I put them on my computer's phone-zapper (which hangs up on them on the 1st ring anytime they call back).
Their caller-id said DHC (not sure what that means; I could only guess).

Have been calling once a week when I"m not home and leaving a message "for the diabetic in your home."  Today I answered and pressed 1 as instructed so I could yell at somebody.  (Futile, I know.)  When she answered she said "Thank you for calling, may I have your name please."  I said "I'd rather have your name because I"m on the Do Not Call list"  but the instant I said "your name" she connected me to an automated message that said "Thank you for requesting to be removed from this list.  You will not be called again."

I expect to see a flying pig at any moment, too.  I HATE THESE PEOPLE, and the government isn't going to do a d@mn thing about it.

This number constantly calls my place of business and says nothing when we answer (with our business name and asking how we can help).  I know it is not one of those "robotic" callers becasue they say nothing and after a few attempts on our part to ask how we can help, they hang up.  We rarely look at the caller ID unless it is a rude or annoying caller (like this one).

Rang at 9 am, didn't get to it in time so didn't answer, left no message. Brought up the number, didn't recognize it, didn't call back. Looked it up here instead.
My husband has health issues. I worry that one day as he tries to hurry to answer the phone he'll fall and seriously hurt himself. I tell him to let it go, if it's important they will call again.

I called and reported this company to both Medicare and the Inspector General's Office. They are misrepresenting themselves as Medicare Providers. This is FRAUD.

I got a call from 317-559-5582 claiming to be calling from MEDICARE for "the diabetic in your home." I told the person I'm on the Federal Do Not Call List, and was told "We don't have to honor that." Now, it is against Federal Hippa Laws to give out Medical Information. I'm NOT on Medicare and no one in my home is diabetic. This is a phishing call meant to terrorize old people into giving out their VISA information.

Do NOT give callers from this number any information of ANY kind!
