That is not Sallie Mae. It is Student Assistance, they claim that Sallie Mae has given them permission to talk to you.  I told the lady on Thursday, Friday, Saturday morning and Monday, that I pay my loan with Sallie Mae and I will not discuss anything with them.  Of course  that did not stop the calls.

I keep getting an automated call from this number saying they are leaving a message for "Justin Phillips". I have no idea who that is. It says it's the Student Assistance Corporation. I have don't any student loans.

It says USA group.  It is a recording and just says it is not a sales or marketing call, and to call them back.  Has a british accent for some reason.  They are asking for a person who I don't know and does not have the same last name as me.  It is similar to my ex wife's name.  I've been divorced for 10 years and she has been re-married for 10 years.

this number calls all day and night. Then when I don't answer they start calling private and as late as 11pm until 3 am,  its ridiculous. I have a 5 week old baby they always wake up. If i could slap the person calling I would this is rude and disrespectful. Im really close to changing my telephone number.

I have received numerous calls regarding student loans our EX-daughter-in-law's student loans. I have given them her mother's phone number since she used her mother's address while obtaining these loans. I am considering contacting the Indiana Attorney General's office to see if I can get these calls stopped. My husband is disabled and doesn't need the harrassment. When I called the 800 number (866-905-8941) they left, the girl was extremely rude and wouldn't tell the company she worked for or where I could contact their Corporate Office. Said she didn't know where it was.

I received a call from this number a few days ago. I did not answer it because I did not recognize the number. The recording said they were calling for someone with a totally different name than mine and that it was regarding his student loans. Either they have the wrong number or it's a scam because neither my husband nor I have any student loans or have had anything to do with Sallie Mae. I did read online today that Sallie Mae bought USA Group. Well, USA Group has some pretty questionable ethics. I received another call today that was from a different number, but it was from the same state (Indiana), so I'm sure it was the same company. No message was left today.

They call alot! I am behind on my student loan (one month) and I did talk to someone about a month ago and the phone calls stopped for awhile. I dont answer any more and just send what I can, when I can.

I have had several calls from this number.  I don't answer calls from numbers I don't know.  From the reports I've read here, I have no idea why they'd even be calling me since I neither have anything to do with Sallie Mae NOR any student loans.

This number is Sallie Mae's collection agency.  I was just on the phone with Sallie Mae and asked the woman I was speaking to about it and that's what she told me.

When they do have the right number, they still don't always get things right.  They were supposed to be sending me forbearance forms and doing a temporary deferment to last until the forms came.  Neither of which happened.

I got a call from this number the other day and I do have student loans, so I assumed it was because of that, but the woman couldn't find my last name in her system and she said "I'm not sure why we have your phone number then."  She said she would remove me from the list, but she definitely didn't because I keep getting calls from the number, I just ignore them now.

My mother received a call from somebody claiming to be with Student Assistance Corp., demanding to know my current phone number and address. When she refused, they verbally abused her and even threatened her. She is very old and was visibly shaken after this horrible encounter. It is a shame these thugs are allowed to treat people this way.

I got a call from 800-287-6197, I didn't answer. One minute later I got a call from this number 317-578-6321. I don't know if they are related or not?

I keep on getting calls from various forms of this number. Always from fishers, in. Always the same thing. I answer, the line is silent until I say HELLOOOO?! then they start talking. I ask who they are and they say student assistance something or another. I start asking questions and they hang up! I DO have loans but I am NOT delinquent! I called The SallieMae number from the actual salliemae website and wouldn't you know it. Closed. I figured as much because it's SATURDAY morning! So I called the number back and finally spoke to someone. I wouldn't give them any info, but they gave me the name of their website. Solutions.usafunds.org. I will be calling sally Mae on Monday morning to get the scoop. I just need to know where to turn next when that doesn't work. Do I need a lawyer?

This is the same problem. This loan solutions keeps on calling regarding a student loan for my husband. My husband never went to college nor ever had a student loan. Not sure why they keep calling. Seems like others have had the same problem also.

OK I Just spoke to someone from salliemae  loan service not too long ago about my loans. making sure it is up to date all the time!! but I dont understand what they are constantly calling my parents about!!! I am getting Yelled at every freaken day and it is really making me angry!!! Everytime i call that number i never get through!!! this is crazy!

Hello, I keep on receiving phone calls from that number every day since I got this phone. It's very annoying. Is there anything we can do about it?

They have called twice - no messages either time, very freaky.

They called saying my student loan was past due.  They were very pushy.  Had a lot of personal information that they should not have.  I called my student loan company and I am not past due, as I thought.  Obviously this is a scam.  And probably identity theft.

They just called me and have all my personal information saying my loan is past due.  I hung up and called my student loan company and I am not.  Scary!  Calling police now.  I think I just got my identity stolen...

If you are having ANY trouble at al paying our student loans, please talk to them. I just got off the phone with them and they were EXTREMELY NICE, PROFESSIONAL, and COURTEOUS. Very helpful and willing to work with anyone. Please take advantage of one of the few professional companies out there. They work directly with whichever company had originated your loans to stop all calls.

They keep calling despite the fact that now I have their ringtone set to silent so I don't even know when they call. I just get a voicemail here and there but this is absurd!!! I shouldn't have to tolerate this... They don't leave any information other than a website and I refuse to fall for their stupid scam and add to the websites hits so I have no idea what they want nor will I call them.

Called 9/17/08, 9:41 a.m., and on 9/16/08.  No message was left when answering machine picked up the call.

Pay off student loans

Called 9/9/08 at 8:32 a.m.  Didn't say anything.  I don't have any student  loans if that is the nature of their business, and don't know any of the people listed above.

These dudes call me 4 times a day and I don't even have a loan out. I don't know how they got my number but this is crazy, they wont leave me alone. This morning I got a call at 8am when i was sleeping from them.
